Story
We are sadly seeking a new home for our 2-year-old male lab mix. He is a trained, loving, cuddly dog who bonds closely with his family. He needs a calm home with a structured environment. Due to the frequent comings and goings in our home, and large acreage property which is too much for him, we are unable to provide the consistent environment he needs. He will try to bully adult strangers not intending to harm, and did nip a stranger who suddenly entered the property, but thankfully no injury was caused. He loves to relax and snuggle and also does well in his crate. He is doggy door trained, and knows basic obedience commands. He does well with the cat and 4-year-old female lab in our home. If you have a quiet household with minimal visitors and are willing to love him, he will reward you with loyalty and love back! Please reach out if you are interested in meeting him!

Story
Hello there, friend. I’m Mo and I am ready to roll. I am 8 weeks old as of November 15th and am half Husky and half Great Pyrenees. (Male) My momma and daddy were both about 80 pounds, so I’m going to be a good size. When it comes to love and affection, I give it in spades. I sure do love to play, but I prefer to spend my time napping with a good toy. I love kids, am curious about cats, and adore other dogs. I’m going to be a breeze to train because food motivated is an epic understatement. I was one of the biggest of the bunch and it’s clear why. I live for food and the love and attention of people. If you pick me to be your family, I promise I’ll love you attentively all the days of your life. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Story
Hi, my name is Maggie, and I'm 5 years old and weigh 55 lbs. It's difficult to tell in my photos, but I have a beautiful, shiny black coat with auburn highlights. I am a little shy at first, but once I get to know and trust someone, I will be the most loyal and loving dog ever. I have wonderful house manners, so my foster family leaves me with run of the house when they leave. I love toys, in fact I'm a little addicted to them! I don't chew or destroy them, I just love to carry them around, kind of like a security blanket. I get along well with the other dog in my foster home, but I am a little scared and nervous around new dogs. Truth be told, I would love to be an only dog so I can get all the attention and cuddles. I also prefer a quiet, low activity home, and I am not a good candidate for apartment life. I'm really a low maintenance dog. Just let me hang out with my people, and I'm good! Please submit your application to meet me, and an adoption counselors will contact you.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Aster is almost 10 months old! We think she's a black Lab/Terrier mix, but the breed mix is 100% guesswork on our part. Aster has THE BEST ears ever. She's a smart, sweet girl that has normal puppy energy. She would be so excited to find her forever home with another playful dog her size so they can have long wrestling sessions and wear each other out! She loves to take walks or hikes and explore all the things along the trail. She does well on leash and wants to use a harness on her walks because it's a great fashion accessory (and helps with learning leash manners). She absolutely loves going to the lake. She doesn't swim, but she splashes around paw-deep in the water like it's the coolest thing ever! Aster's most favorite thing is chasing flying insects, and she has plenty to choose from with all the Cicadas and June Bugs flying around this year. She likes to play fetch and tug with durable toys; the soft stuffed ones only last about 5 minutes! Aster is a little shy when you first meet her but if you toss down a good treat you can be her BFF within a few short minutes. She warms up to women quickly, but will take a little longer with men. Small children make her very nervous, so no kids under the age of 10. She is housebroken and has learned some basic commands - she sits like a champ, absolutely LOVES to chase balls and brings them right back to you and drops them at your feet. She is a smart cookie and will be a fun and loyal companion for the right adopter. The first step to meeting Aster is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Meet Kelly and Kenny! They came to Apollo together and are a bonded pair. Kenny is the more outgoing one of the two of them and gets super excited to see you! He has the silliest happy face he makes when he’s excited and he loves to be the center of attention. He can be a little nervous around new people but once he realizes you will pet him he’s ready to be your best friend! Kelly is a sweet shy lady. Kelly can be a little weary of new people but once she realizes her best friend Kenny is getting loved on she gets her confidence and wants to be your friend. She is also almost always doing happy tail wags and it’s adorable. She is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment. Kenny and Kelly will do best in a home with older children. They will need a calm home due to them being shy towards new people and situations. They were born in 2015 and are located at the rescue.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry
