Story
We rescued Chico as a puppy from the Humane Society. We are looking for a home for him that can truly integrate him as part of the family. He would make a great indoor pet or outdoors with another pet Reason My husband's medical conditions have not allowed us to have Chico in/out of the home so he has become a primarily outdoor dog without him having a companion or a family that spends more time outdoors. Adjectives that describe your pet: Chico is a handsome sweet boy that has a lot of energy and is extremely playful. Best Qualities He loves to lay on his back and get his belly rubbed and LOVES to eat but understands commands such as sit, wait, and go. He does not bark often which has been a plus since we have had him outside. Commands or Tricks Sit and paw Cute/funny quirks When he meets people he gets on his back to have his belly rubbed. Special toys or treats that they love Anything edible!

Story
Kriss Kross is a remarkable lab rescue mix who found his way to Friends of Dogs in July 2023. When he was found as a stray, he was in dire need of care. He had a thin scar around his neck from being tied up, a sore back ankle, and infected ears. Additionally, his eyes are slightly crossed, possibly due to past trauma. Friends of Dogs rescued Kriss Kross not out of pity, but because of his sweet and happy disposition. He has a kind heart, and it was clear to the rescuers that he deserved a chance at a good life. His foster mom took Kriss Kross to the vet for a thorough assessment. He is approximately three years old, weighs 43 pounds, and is heartworm negative. The vet suspects that Kriss Kross may have experienced head trauma, affecting his brain and causing his eyes to cross. His sore ankle is likely the result of a previous injury, which may have caused it to grow incorrectly. Despite this, he doesn't appear to be in pain and has a distinctive, endearing hop when he walks. Kriss Kross has been thriving in a safe and nurturing environment, something he has never experienced before. He has been neutered and is now ready for the next step in his journey. Kriss Kross needs a special home where he can continue to receive the love and care he deserves. Kriss Kross's greatest joy is to be with people. He longs for human connection and eagerly soaks up pets and cuddles. While he is friendly and polite with other dogs, he always prefers to be close to his people. Due to his past trauma, he can be a little anxious and needy, but he has so much love to offer in return. At 65 pounds, Finn is the perfect size for cuddles and adventures, and his gentle, friendly nature makes him a wonderful addition to any family. This sweet boy is fantastic with kids and other dogs, making him an ideal family companion. Story
Meet Bruno, a resilient and happy 10-month-old black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life. Bruno came into our local animal control with an injured leg, body full of BB pellets, and significant hair loss, but he’s made an incredible transformation. After his leg amputation and a lot of TLC, his coat has grown back beautifully, and he’s embraced life as a tripod with the sweetest spirit. Bruno is the ultimate companion. He loves playtime, whether it’s fetching, romping with other dogs (he gets along with everyone he meets), or guarding his favorite toys. When it’s time to relax, Bruno is perfectly content being a couch potato, whether on the couch with you or snuggled up in his own bed. He’s housebroken, sleeps well in his kennel, and is learning to walk on a leash like a pro. While he’s still building endurance on walks as he adjusts to being a tripod, his determination and quick learning are impressive. Bruno is initially cautious around new people but warms up quickly with a little patience and kindness. Bruno is ready to bring his joyful energy and unwavering loyalty to his forever home. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and resilient pup to join your family, Bruno is the one for you!
