What a cutie! Nello is so adorable! He's the perfect size and he looks like a puppy forever with his big brown eyes! Nello is a very sweet and sensitive guy. He loves to be by your side. He loves walks but he's also content just to lounge in the house and yard. Nello is nervous with strangers, therefore he would do well in a very calm adult (no children) household with yard access. Story
Kriss Kross is a remarkable lab rescue mix who found his way to Friends of Dogs in July 2023. When he was found as a stray, he was in dire need of care. He had a thin scar around his neck from being tied up, a sore back ankle, and infected ears. Additionally, his eyes are slightly crossed, possibly due to past trauma. Friends of Dogs rescued Kriss Kross not out of pity, but because of his sweet and happy disposition. He has a kind heart, and it was clear to the rescuers that he deserved a chance at a good life. His foster mom took Kriss Kross to the vet for a thorough assessment. He is approximately three years old, weighs 43 pounds, and is heartworm negative. The vet suspects that Kriss Kross may have experienced head trauma, affecting his brain and causing his eyes to cross. His sore ankle is likely the result of a previous injury, which may have caused it to grow incorrectly. Despite this, he doesn't appear to be in pain and has a distinctive, endearing hop when he walks. Kriss Kross has been thriving in a safe and nurturing environment, something he has never experienced before. He has been neutered and is now ready for the next step in his journey. Kriss Kross needs a special home where he can continue to receive the love and care he deserves. Kriss Kross's greatest joy is to be with people. He longs for human connection and eagerly soaks up pets and cuddles. While he is friendly and polite with other dogs, he always prefers to be close to his people. Due to his past trauma, he can be a little anxious and needy, but he has so much love to offer in return. Story
Meet Bruno, a resilient and happy 10-month-old black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life. Bruno came into our local animal control with an injured leg, body full of BB pellets, and significant hair loss, but he’s made an incredible transformation. After his leg amputation and a lot of TLC, his coat has grown back beautifully, and he’s embraced life as a tripod with the sweetest spirit. Bruno is the ultimate companion. He loves playtime, whether it’s fetching, romping with other dogs (he gets along with everyone he meets), or guarding his favorite toys. When it’s time to relax, Bruno is perfectly content being a couch potato, whether on the couch with you or snuggled up in his own bed. He’s housebroken, sleeps well in his kennel, and is learning to walk on a leash like a pro. While he’s still building endurance on walks as he adjusts to being a tripod, his determination and quick learning are impressive. Bruno is initially cautious around new people but warms up quickly with a little patience and kindness. Bruno is ready to bring his joyful energy and unwavering loyalty to his forever home. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and resilient pup to join your family, Bruno is the one for you! Story
Name: Molly Breed: Black Lab Mix Age: 6-7 years Weight: 60 pounds Molly Bear is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves people but prefers to be the only pet. She enjoys being the center of attention and gets excited when people visit. Molly is crate trained and likes sleeping in her crate, at the foot of the bed, or on the furniture if allowed. She loves chewing on toys but doesn't destroy property. She is food motivated, but not food aggressive. Molly obeys some commands but can be selective. She needs additional training for walks and bathroom habits. Molly is dominant around other dogs and will fence fight but is usually a quiet couch potato. Molly needs a new home because she conflicts with another female rescue in her current home. She is low maintenance and would do best in a household where she is the only pet. Molly will bring joy to a family that can give her the attention she craves.

Luke is really our dream dog. He is super friendly and kind. Trustworthy with all of my kiddos. My youngest is 2 and oldest 16. He is super sweet, lovable and loves to cuddle. He is 9 months old. He is full of energy and enjoys walks. The only issue we have is I recently started a new job and he is home alone for extended hours 10+ hours a day. We also are in an apartment and we feel he needs a home with a yard, some space and someone that has more time to take him out, walk him and also play and show him lots of love throughout the day. He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is a great family dog.

Buddy is a loving, very well behaved dog. He is about 2 and 1/2 years old. House trained and loves other dogs! He is leash trained but can be let off leash and will stay close by. Owner is unable to care for him, otherwise he would never be rehomed! Only willing to let him go to someone that will love him and give him the best home!

Story
We got a call that 13 puppies and two moms were at risk of being brutally killed on a property in San Diego, Texas. They were reportedly dumped on a ranch and were killing the chickens.    Thankfully we found two rescue to take the babies and one mom, but Nana still needs a home!    She is very timid which makes sense considering her background.    She’s learning it’s okay to go in the house and that humans aren’t so scary.    Nana loves a good belly rub and will immediately roll over if she knows you’re going to give her one.    She has met other dogs (outside of the ones she was rescued with) and doesn’t show any aggression, but she’s cautious and probably hasn’t been around other dogs very much, if at all.    If you’re looking for a super sweet girl and have patience and understand that she will take time to feel comfortable, Nana might be the girl for you!  October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Carti is a 22lb 4 month old Black Lab Retriever. She is very playful and energetic and would require someone who could dedicate time to training her. She is very stubborn and loves to bite, as all puppies do. She is kennel trained, potty trained to go outside, and knows a few tricks for some treats. She can be cuddly at times or just want her own space at other times. She is good with car rides, she doesn’t squeal, cry or bark, she just sleeps. She has not gotten her last parvo shot so she hasn’t been around other dogs. However, she does play around with the my next door neighbors dog through a small hole in the ground underneath the fence. She win’t pee or poo unless I am outside with her. And she cries if I put her to bed in the kennel, and then leave the room. However, she eventually falls asleep. She’s just a little baby that needs a lot of love and patience🥹💖💖

Her name is Yumi, 4 months old. She has full of energy and asked for a lot of attention. She loves to play, run and go for a walk everyday. She’s house-trained and potty-trained. She would fit perfectly in a home with a backyard where she can run around. She does well with other dogs, big kids but probably not with a little kid under 7yr. And she need a forever home.

Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
Cleo is a very affectionate and active purebred German Shorthaired Pointer. We found her in the open fields of north Georgetown. She obviously had recently had a litter and was emaciated, likely bred and dumped as she is a purebred. She is fairly active and frequently escapes our yard, even though we've put up 6 foot fences (she jumps/climbs over them). She needs two things we can't provide long-term: 1) space to roam, and 2) companionship during the day. That could be someone who works from home or even another dog. She loves people, loves loves loves belly scratches, and loves to range far and wide. She's shown absolutely no aggression and in fact is very submissive when she meets someone new. She gets along with our active and friendly cat and is scared of our grumpy cat. We've chosen not to spay her because we realize a new owner may want to have a litter.
