He has a jaw disfigurement, likely from an old, untreated attack—but it doesn’t slow him down or dim his sweetness one bit. Coal is resilient, affectionate, and eager to trust again. He meets new friends easily, both dogs and people, and all he truly wants is what every dog deserves: a safe place, a warm bed, and someone to call his own. Sophia was hit by a car over 10 days ago. Her pelvis broken in 2 places and her femur was broken. She was in so much pain that she tried biting our vet twice. We didn’t know her that well and the vet was concerned about how she would do in rehab, which he expected to be long and HARD. Our vet urged us to consider EU. We basically flipped a coin on a HW test to help us decide. She’s HW- so she got the surgery. After 10 days in hospital care, she did a complete 180 and became a staff favorite for her good nature and tail wags. Sophia is now at the rehab house our friend, triage nurse, and committed rehabber. And LOOK AT HER NOW! What the vet prepared us for was going to be rough - slings, bad attitude, peeing and pooping all over herself because she couldn’t get up. Sophia is giving us 100% with nothing but kisses, a great spirit, and willingness to do the work. Sophia is a small lab mix that will be ready for a forever home before you know it.

He’s a happy, social guy who plays hard, naps harder, and loves nothing more than hanging out with his dog friends (especially the ones who don’t mind a little rough-and-tumble play). While he’s not much of a swimmer, Kodi does love to lounge in the pool and cool off after a good romp—it’s his version of a spa day. Kodi’s fun-loving personality and sweet nature make him a joy to have around. He’s growing into a well-rounded young dog who’s ready for a family that can match his playful energy and return all the love he has to give. Play hard, love harder—that’s Kodi’s motto.

He doesn’t bark unless absolutely necessary (roofers with nail guns). He would absolutely love another dog to play with his size or a little smaller. He is loving, kennel trained. He’s a big giant baby and just wants love. Our son is severely allergic to dogs that causes asthma attacks.
