Story
Kevin, Big Dan and Spot are three quarter American lab and one quarter husky. they are out of a litter of nine. very sociable puppies that are 18 weeks old. they have had their deworming and second round of shots. momma is an American lab AKC registered chocolate. Dad is an American Lab/ Husky mix white. not asking for any adoption fee, would just like them to go to a good home. the reason I am adopting them out is a larger litter than expected and had several buyers fall through. if interested in one or more is fine. not trying to adopt them all out at one time. thank you for looking.

Story
Introducing.... Clooney! This sweet boy was rescued from a high volume shelter as soon as he was added to the euthanasia list after being there since last October. He is SUPER grateful to be out of there and loves everyone he meets. He is young, born around October 2020 and needs a home willing to continue his training. He is an active Flat Coated Retriever mix male who weighs around 55 pounds. He likes to sit in a lap and give hugs - sometimes it is a little too much:) He gets along well with other dogs. He is potty trained and is quickly learning basic obedience commands. Not recommended for homes with small children at this time since he is still learning not to jump up on people and might accidentally knock them over. If you are interested in him, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Hi, I'm Harrison, a very loving and sweet Lab mix.  I was found as a stray and have made it to SCP to help me find my forever home.  I love my people and want to stay close to them.  My favorite thing is being petted and having lots of snuggles on the couch.  At the home of the person who found me, I was with cats in that home, but they weren't very happy with a new dog living in their home, so it probably is dependent on the cat.  I am presently living with multiple other dogs and get along with them, but I can be pretty defensive (barks and snappy) on first meeting a new dog. A few minutes of walking around and sitting quietly near one another makes everything OK, but first introduction has to be managed. I can be an escape artist so I will need a securely fenced yard, a 6-7 foot fence and a gate that I can't open.  I'm house trained and have free roam on the house.  I do eat in my crate and will sometimes go into it to chill but pretty much I just want to be near my people or in my favorite chair.  No kids at my foster home but I've been friendly with all the kids I've met so far.  I'm pretty good on a leash, but will pull if I get distracted by a squirrel or other critter.  My dream home would be with an active family who will take me on long walks or hikes, but when not out getting exercise, I'm happy just being part of the family either with or without another doggie friend.  My foster says I'm such a good boy, my new family will be very lucky to have me as part of the family. If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! Story
Disclaimer: she is good with older kids. Think 8+ years old, but anything under that she is not. Please please someone help us find our girl a new home. The only option we’ve been offered is behavioral euthanasia and that’s a solid NO. We love our girl and are heartbroken about this but unfortunately, she does not love little kids and with having two very little babies, our home is no longer safe for her or them. About Harley She is 7 years old 37 pounds And is a lab mix (don’t know what else with as we found her on the streets as a puppy) She has lots of energy but nothing a good walk and some fetch doesn't take care of She really loves toys She needs a home with no little little kids, but will do fine with older kids/teens and somewhere she can be the only baby again and get lots of focused snuggles. We want her to be happy again, and we can see how anxious and unhappy she is now. It breaks our hearts.
