Story
Macie is a happy pup with a big smile and kind heart. She has grown up with her family and has helped them welcome 3 babies in the world! She's been wonderful with all three kids (now ages 2.5 through 4.5). Macie isn't one for fetch, but she does love to play tug of war and go on moderate walks. Macie also likes being near her humans most of the time, and can usually be found on the floor around them. She also has a fur sister that she's lived with for 7 years. Unfortunately, her fur sister has some health problems and has grown intolerant of having Macie around. Therefore, Macie is seeking a new home where she can be loved for years to come. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Macie is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
These two are a bonded pair and must stay together. Max is 5 and Champ is 7. Champ was hit by a car and had a leg surgery that left him with a limp but that doesn't slow him down one bit. They were raised around kids.  When surrendered they had been kept as outside dogs their entire lives, but kept escaping. They have been inside dogs since October, and you'd never know any different. They get along and play very well with other dogs. They deserve to be the center of attention and will do best with a family who will work with them and train them. They know basic commands like sit and they come when called. Max and Champ are the happiest, loving boys who have never met a stranger. They deserve a family who will smother them with all the love they can handle, but who will also train them and break them of their attempts to escape. Both Max and Champ are participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
I am a smart, social, endearing Chocolate princess. I’m English and while some might call me fat (okay I did get a little carried away with the free feeding) I am a sturdy gal just like my breeding specifies.  I am great in the house, know all of those silly commands humans like, and will be as happy by your side watching Chicago Fire as heading for an outing.  I love other dogs, going from walks and rides and have been forever banished from soft woobie toys (but all the tough ones are perfect).  I would love a family of my own soon! retrieveafriend.org/adopt    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm

Story
Hunny is 2.5 year old black lab mix that needs to be in an “only” dog home from now on, as she has become very jealous and aggressive to her housemates which is why she has landed on this page..Otherwise she is very sweet and loving of her “humans” She has been around older kids/teens not small children so not sure how she is with small kids. She is house broken, crate trained, knows basic commands (sit, stay, down, off, leave it, shake) walks well with a prong collar but needs some work still as she will lunge at other dogs on walks. She loves toys and treats and likes walks and car rides. She can also be a big coach potato and likes a lots of attention and belly rubs. She needs a new loving family home asap!

Story
🤴 Duke is an awesome big boy! We just love this guy's personality. He's a very happy and sweet boy, and he would love to find a family of his very own. Duke does great with other dogs - once he's properly introduced and given time to adjust. It took him 2-3 weeks to get along with his furry foster sister, and now, they're best friends. Duke is wonderful with all people and is a big goofball who will bring a bright ray of sunshine to your home. He's well-behaved, crate trained, and housebroken. Duke takes Apoquel daily for skin allergies, and he is currently eating a prescription diet for a sensitive tummy. Duke loves walkies, and he loves to try to chase bunnies (so kitties probably aren't a great fit for him). He enjoys playing fetch and running around his yard. He is a big, strong boy and does well on the leash most of the time...but, he can pull hard when something catches his eye or he's excited. Duke is an expert snuggler, and he loves big, soft beds, couches, etc. He'd love to be your best friend.
