Story
Macie is a happy pup with a big smile and kind heart. She has grown up with her family and has helped them welcome 3 babies in the world! She's been wonderful with all three kids (now ages 2.5 through 4.5). Macie isn't one for fetch, but she does love to play tug of war and go on moderate walks. Macie also likes being near her humans most of the time, and can usually be found on the floor around them. She also has a fur sister that she's lived with for 7 years. Unfortunately, her fur sister has some health problems and has grown intolerant of having Macie around. Therefore, Macie is seeking a new home where she can be loved for years to come. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Macie is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
These two are a bonded pair and must stay together. Max is 5 and Champ is 7. Champ was hit by a car and had a leg surgery that left him with a limp but that doesn't slow him down one bit. They were raised around kids.  When surrendered they had been kept as outside dogs their entire lives, but kept escaping. They have been inside dogs since October, and you'd never know any different. They get along and play very well with other dogs. They deserve to be the center of attention and will do best with a family who will work with them and train them. They know basic commands like sit and they come when called. Max and Champ are the happiest, loving boys who have never met a stranger. They deserve a family who will smother them with all the love they can handle, but who will also train them and break them of their attempts to escape. Both Max and Champ are participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Meet Miss Frankie! She is a 1.5 year old black labrador retriever mix weighing in at 40 lbs. Frankie is as sweet as can be! She is good with kids, adults and large dogs. Things Frankie loves: snuggling, ear scratches, her big bone, car rides (especially on the way to Starbucks for her pup cup fix!), playing with other dogs, then sleeping on her back with all four paws in the air. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
We welcomed Dunks as a two-month-old puppy, and he quickly became the heart of our family. With his gentle nature and playful spirit, Dunks is everything you could want in a Labrador. He’s great with kids and people of all ages, always greeting everyone with a wagging tail and endless love. House-trained and quick to learn with a treat in sight, Dunks has been a constant source of joy. But as he nears his second birthday, our lives have grown so busy that we can’t give him the time and space he deserves. It’s a hard decision, but we want him to have a family who can offer the attention and freedom he craves. Dunks deserves a loving home where he can run, play, and thrive. He has brought us so much joy, and we know he’ll do the same for a new family who can embrace his joyful, loyal spirit.

Story
Hey I’m Max! My brother Mason and I are hanging out just chilling getting settled in at our foster home while we wait to meet our new family. We’ve always heard how perfect we are and how much we are loved. So it was sad to leave our home where we’ve been together our whole entire lives.  Our people gave us everything and took amazing care of us! We are pretty darn smart, have great manners, are comfortable hanging out in the house, or in our crates if the occasion arises. We like car rides and hikes, snow, and a good game of hide and seek.    The grandkids always threw our balls, and rubbed our ears, and snuck us cookies (maybe a few too many).  We will miss them for sure! We grew up with some littles…little people, little furries, and a few little felines. We are pretty flexible, and easy going! If you are ready for some handsome friends, and are over all those puppy shenanigans, and just want to get down to the business of cuddles, companionship, and adventures ~ then we are your boys! Ask to meet us! Retrieveafriend.Org/adoptVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm

Story
🤴 Duke is an awesome big boy! We just love this guy's personality. He's a very happy and sweet boy, and he would love to find a family of his very own. Duke does great with other dogs - once he's properly introduced and given time to adjust. It took him 2-3 weeks to get along with his furry foster sister, and now, they're best friends. Duke is wonderful with all people and is a big goofball who will bring a bright ray of sunshine to your home. He's well-behaved, crate trained, and housebroken. Duke takes Apoquel daily for skin allergies, and he is currently eating a prescription diet for a sensitive tummy. Duke loves walkies, and he loves to try to chase bunnies (so kitties probably aren't a great fit for him). He enjoys playing fetch and running around his yard. He is a big, strong boy and does well on the leash most of the time...but, he can pull hard when something catches his eye or he's excited. Duke is an expert snuggler, and he loves big, soft beds, couches, etc. He'd love to be your best friend.
