Meet Kelly and Kenny! They came to Apollo together and are a bonded pair. Kenny is the more outgoing one of the two of them and gets super excited to see you! He has the silliest happy face he makes when he’s excited and he loves to be the center of attention. He can be a little nervous around new people but once he realizes you will pet him he’s ready to be your best friend! Kelly is a sweet shy lady. Kelly can be a little weary of new people but once she realizes her best friend Kenny is getting loved on she gets her confidence and wants to be your friend. She is also almost always doing happy tail wags and it’s adorable. She is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment. Kenny and Kelly will do best in a home with older children. They will need a calm home due to them being shy towards new people and situations. They were born in 2015 and are located at the rescue.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Story
Peaches is very outgoing and sweet as can be! She even plays gently with smaller creatures like cats and rabbits. She is potty trained and has caught on quickly to simple commands like Sit and Stay. She was born 6/29/2019We pulled Kiwi & Peaches from the shelter as itty bitty pups, and soon found out that both of them had CHV (Canine Herpesvirus). Most puppies die at 2 weeks from this, however these two were fighters and besides runny noses here and there, are doing really well. They can have it the rest of their lifes and will have what appears to be a cold from time to time. Because there is just not a lot documented on situations like this we have no idea what their future health could be. They should never be around puppies or attend public places or events.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Story
Meet Kimber and Sky!Kimber and Sky are the sweetest pup pair that came to us as an owner surrender for circumstances out of their control. Sky is a 5-year-old Husky that is the best big brother to his sister Kimber, who is a 3-year-old lab mix. They both love to snuggle, and their favorite game is to see if they can both fit on your lap! They are potty trained and excellent on the leash! Sky and Kimber are dog friendly, but Kimber does get nervous with other big dogs. They would do best if they are the only dogs in the home so they can have all of your love to themselves! These two pups are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, and they will make a fabulous addition to your home!Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

A large yard would be ideal for her to frolic in and indulge in her favorite activities like tug of war and chewing on her beloved dog bone.Betty gets along well with cats and most larger dogs, but she would thrive best in a home with older children. Story
Meet Sam! He is delightful with me and my three kids ages 7, 10 and 13. Loves to give kisses, very tolerant, sweet and loving. Very playful. It took him about 3 months to not bark and growl at my husband every time he walked in the room. He has mostly stopped doing that but will still not allow my husband to put a leash on him or give him commands (he will bark and growl). He barks and growls at most strangers, especially when they come to the door and it takes him weeks to warm up to people. He has only warmed up to two other people outside of our family, both women. He is very fearful of men. He will also bark and growl at kids (other than mine) when they look him in the eye or come toward him.He loves to play, loves the dog park, gets along great with other dogs. He goes to doggie day care 2x a week. He is also a great hiking buddy.Sam is house trained. He still needs to learn to not pull on a leash. We have had a trainer to work with him on his anxiety with strangers. He is ok walking past people but becomes stressed and growls if anyone stops and tries to address him.Ideal home would be with mostly women (if possible) and at least one other playful dog. He would love it if there were more dogs, he loves to play! He would do best with a family who is active. No cats as he chases them. He would also do best if he goes to a family who has the time to manage and supervise him when people visit the house or come to the door. He does best if he is behind a baby gate so he can see the stranger but doesn’t get close. I usually give him treats as well when new people visit.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry
