Story
We adopted Belle thinking she was 8 weeks old which is what the animal shelter told us but when we took her to the vet for her shots they said she was only 4 weeks old . She is short but stocky with a sweet and gentle heart with people. She does not get along with new animals and she was getting grouchy with our Boston Terrier who is 11. She will love her owner to the ends of the earth. She will be better in a single dog household and absolutely loves women. She is very laid back and loves to snuggle. Let me know if you have any questions thank you for reading.

Story
Gaara has been in our care since 2023 and time is running out!Approximately 1 year and 3 months ago, Gaara`s human mom passed away, his human dad lost everything, and he could no longer provide for Gaara. So, Gaara lost everything he loved, too... Since then, Gaara has waited patiently and with the best manners to be chosen as an addition to a family. Sadly, time and time again, he has been overlooked and passed by. Gaara`s ideal home would be one where he could be the only pet. He does not want to share the love and attention and we do not blame him! Imagine spending a little over a year without a loving family. HE TRULY DESERVES TO BE THE ONLY PET AND TO BE SHOWERED WITH LOVE AND ATTENTION!! PLEASE HELP US FIND HIM A LOVING HOME!Gaara A065549, 4-years, neutered male, Lab mix, 46lbs.

Story
Our Mission: Woof Pack Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to improve the health, welfare, and safety of Houston's dogs. Our organization was started by one dog mom on a mission to help those animals in need. Our goal is to find loving homes for abandoned, lost, forgotten or mistreated dogs from the streets of Houston and surrounding areas. Currently being fostered in Houston, Tx with transport available out of state. The DNA results are in and Luke is part labrador retriever, part american pitbull terrier, and part german shepard, which explains Luke's pointy ears! He is approximately 15 months old. Luke is a very handsome fellow with a very shiny jet black coat , with white on his chest. He has the whitest teeth I've ever seen and very pointy ears, kind of like "Spock" ears. His story: Luke and his sibling sister, Leia were found roaming a neighborhood, searching for shelter, food and water for 3 weeks before I saw them. Unfortunately, as so many strays in Houston go, neither one was fixed and she was in heat. Every male dog from the area found poor Leia, much to Luke's upset. We left out food and water where we got notification of sightings and finally found them, exhausted and hungry. After we managed to catch them, all of the other dogs disappeared and both of them just ate and slept for days. He had war wounds and bites healing and she was exhausted. I had her vetted and scheduled for spay immediately, but Luke was not having his sister be gone from his sight and tried to escape over, under or thru the fence. Sooooo, it turned into a double day, all without a plan. Anyone in rescue knows, you have to have a place to go, but the universe had other plans. We had to board them at first and that gave us a chance to assess their temperments as well. They relied heavily on each other at first and were anxious when separated, but the trainer recommended we work on separating them so they can flourish as individuals. They do well with the other dogs, and are getting more used to being independent of each other. He is: • hw negative • neutered • UTD on all vaccinations • Microchipped • He is good with all the other dogs, small and large, and is gentle around the small dogs. • potty trained, (even is learning about the bells on the door) • crate trained for naps and night night. (all of the dogs are used to crating after they eat to digest) He still has puppy in him, so he likes to dig, chew on things, play hard, and then lay out in the sun. Luke has the pointiest ears, but only one stands up most of the time. He is a sweetheart and just wants pets and belly rubs and rolling around. He loves his walks too! Since Luke and his sibling grew up together, it would be ideal for him to have a fur buddy at his new home. I would love for him to have a yard to play in and a home with a cool bed to lay on his back and dream of chasing butterflies with a full belly. He has a very sweet disposition, is not food aggressive at all, learns very quickly and has gotten used to being separated from his sibling. He is good around dogs of all sizes and does respond to our "dog whistle" if he or any others are playing too ruff. **Man’s Best Friend partners with us for training and boarding and can give additional information on Luke’s personality. Once we have an initial chat the rescue will put you in contact with them. Please email us if you are interested in giving our handsome boy a loving home and we will notify MBF to give out info. **Luke is available to transport to Austin, TX. or out of state, preferably northern states.

Currently being fostered in Houston, Tx with transport available out of state. The DNA results are in and Leia is part labrador retriever, part american pitbull terrier, and part german shepard, She has a beautiful, sleek coat with a little white on her chest. She is approximately 15 months old. Unlike her brother, she has floppy ears and the sweetest amber eyes. Her story: Leia and her sibling brother, Luke, were found roaming a neighborhood, searching for shelter, food and water for 3 weeks before I saw them. She was exhausted and greatly relieved to have a safe place. I had her vetted and scheduled her spay immediately, but because they had only had each other to rely on, it was a double, all without a plan, but time was of the essence due to the probability of her being pregnant . Anyone in rescue knows, you have to have a place to go, but the universe had other plans. We had to board them at first and that gave us a chance to assess their temperments as well. They relied heavily on each other at first and were anxious when separated, but the trainer recommended we work on separating them so they could flourish as individuals. They do very well with the other dogs, and are getting more used to being independent of each other. Sometimes she is a little timid, unless there is another dog getting pets too. She gets very motion sick in the car but I'm still looking for the right combination of things to help her with that. She is: • hw negative • spayed • UTD on all vaccinations • Microchipped • She is good with all the other dogs, small and large, and is gentle around the small dogs. • potty trained, sometimes will ring the bells on the door. • crate trained for naps and night night. (all of the dogs are used to crating after they eat to digest) She is definitely not timid when it comes to play or walks! She still has puppy in her, so she likes to dig, chew on things, play hard, and then lay out in the sun. She is a sweetheart and just wants pets and belly rubs and rolling around. She actually rolled over on her back for the first time recently and presented her belly. Since Leia and her sibling were on the streets together and had only each other to rely on, it would be ideal for her to have a fur buddy at her new home. I would love for her to have a yard to play in and a home with a cool bed to lay on her back, and can dream of chasing butterflies with a full belly and know she is safe and loved. When she looks at you with those eyes, your heart will melt! She has a very sweet disposition, is not food aggressive at all, learns very quickly(learned sit quicker than her brother!) and has gotten used to being separated from her sibling. She is good around dogs of all sizes and does respond to our "dog whistle" if she or any others are playing too ruff. **Man’s Best Friend partners with us for training and boarding and can give additional information on Leia's personality. Bruno's birthday is Aug 4, 2022. He is an outdoor dog and lives with another dog and cat. He is a very active and athletic dog. He has always been timid, affectionate and goofy. I plan to start school full time soon and would like him to be in a home where he can continue his active lifestyle and be with other friends. He knows basic commands and has a great recall.
