Story
Ellie (short for Eleven) is the silliest goofball with the sweetest smile. Ellie is literally the perfect family dog but has sadly been overlooked due to her size and color. Ellie has been waiting to be adopted since September 2023. She has been a fantastic, easy houseguest in each of her foster homes and everyone quickly falls in love with her fun personality. She is fully house trained and nondestructive in home. She is VERY dog friendly and currently lives with 3 other dogs. She lived with kids and was so gentle and loving. As a low-medium energy dog, she is an awesome exercise buddy and loves to go on walks or runs, but she also loves to chill with you on the couch watching a movie. She is often seen snuggling her favorite stuffed animal toys. Ellie deserves to finally find the forever family of her dreams! Ellie is currently fostered in Austin TX but transportation is available to adopters anywhere in the USA.

Story
Banana was saved from a life of neglect in South Texas. Because of her past, she is still a little shy at first but that’s nothing some treats can’t help! She loves belly rubs, loves to be held and snuggled. She’s a low energy dog who likes to nap and sunbathe outside. She does not require a lot of exercise. Banana is spayed, fully house-trained and crate trained. Banana is friendly and loves to play with her 3 foster dog sisters.

Story
Logan is the sweetest and most loving boy. He has an adorable silly side! He is about 45 lbs and 2 years old. He is fully house trained. Logan is dog-friendly with other dogs, he especially loves dogs that are similar size to him (medium & large). Dogs help Logan feel safer and more confident, so we are looking for a home that has another dog to help provide him support. Because of Logan's past life, he can be a little shy when meeting new people. But he adjusts quickly with a little love and patience.

OBS requires an age minimum of 21, and vet history is essential. Application is required. Copy and Paste https://forms.gle/9679D5fdLiJB7fU79 Located in Corsicana TX Transport will be arranged once the adoption is finalized. Meet Denver, a striking yellow Labrador with captivating copper-colored eyes that seem to have a little "eyeliner" around them, giving him a unique and charming look. Denver is a social, friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs and is great with older children. His love for companionship makes him the perfect addition to a family with the time and patience to help him learn some manners. While Denver has an incredibly sweet nature, he does have a few bad habits that need attention. He’s known to jump up for attention, counter surf in search of tasty treats, and dig through the trash when he thinks no one’s looking. But with consistent training, a little guidance, and some redirection, Denver’s potential is limitless. He's eager to please and just needs a little help along the way to become the well-mannered companion you’ve been looking for. Could you be the one to give him the home he deserves? As an adoption fee-based rescue, we do not operate on monthly support. Our adoption fee of $350 covers transport, which is arranged post-adoption, and is tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Should you wish to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee remains the same. Thank you for your valuable support.

Story
Looking for a classic, goofy husky who's non-destructive and quiet when left alone? Neo might be your perfect match! This big, lovable guy needs a home that understands the husky breed and can meet his needs around energy, anxiety, and boundaries. As a true working dog, Neo needs daily exercise-he'd love to be walked at least twice a day to burn off all that husky energy, and he absolutely *loves* fetch! Like many huskies, Neo can be a bit mouthy when he's excited or playing, so he'll need someone to help him channel that into a toy, especially during playtime. With enough exercise, Neo will happily snooze the day away. His ideal home would be low-traffic, with limited visitors and possibly a well-matched dog friend to keep him company. Neo's recent sleepover experience showed what a great apartment dog he can be. His sitter, who works full-time, left him alone for about four hours in the morning and afternoon with a midday break. Neo surprised her by being the perfect guest: he slept most of the day, quietly entertained himself, and even watched cartoons like *Bluey!* Although he isn't crate-trained, he's non-destructive and calm, so you can leave him worry-free (just walk him before you go). Though he's a little wary of new people and may feel anxious around strangers in his space, a slow approach and a quiet spot to retreat to help him relax. With a bit of time, Neo is sure to settle right in and feel comfortable enough to sleep nearby. Neo's goofiness and sweet nature are bound to win you over! After over a year in the shelter, he's ready to cuddle up with someone who can offer him the safe, loving home he deserves. A secure yard for fetch would be his dream come true! Neo will keep you laughing and fill your home with his charming, gentle personality.

Luke is really our dream dog. He is super friendly and kind. Trustworthy with all of my kiddos. My youngest is 2 and oldest 16. He is super sweet, lovable and loves to cuddle. He is 9 months old. He is full of energy and enjoys walks. The only issue we have is I recently started a new job and he is home alone for extended hours 10+ hours a day. We also are in an apartment and we feel he needs a home with a yard, some space and someone that has more time to take him out, walk him and also play and show him lots of love throughout the day. He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is a great family dog.

Story
Carti is a 22lb 4 month old Black Lab Retriever. She is very playful and energetic and would require someone who could dedicate time to training her. She is very stubborn and loves to bite, as all puppies do. She is kennel trained, potty trained to go outside, and knows a few tricks for some treats. She can be cuddly at times or just want her own space at other times. She is good with car rides, she doesn’t squeal, cry or bark, she just sleeps. She has not gotten her last parvo shot so she hasn’t been around other dogs. However, she does play around with the my next door neighbors dog through a small hole in the ground underneath the fence. She win’t pee or poo unless I am outside with her. And she cries if I put her to bed in the kennel, and then leave the room. However, she eventually falls asleep. She’s just a little baby that needs a lot of love and patience🥹💖💖

What a cutie! Nello is so adorable! He's the perfect size and he looks like a puppy forever with his big brown eyes! Nello is a very sweet and sensitive guy. He loves to be by your side. He loves walks but he's also content just to lounge in the house and yard. Nello is nervous with strangers, therefore he would do well in a very calm adult (no children) household with yard access. Story
Kriss Kross is a remarkable lab rescue mix who found his way to Friends of Dogs in July 2023. When he was found as a stray, he was in dire need of care. He had a thin scar around his neck from being tied up, a sore back ankle, and infected ears. Additionally, his eyes are slightly crossed, possibly due to past trauma. Friends of Dogs rescued Kriss Kross not out of pity, but because of his sweet and happy disposition. He has a kind heart, and it was clear to the rescuers that he deserved a chance at a good life. His foster mom took Kriss Kross to the vet for a thorough assessment. He is approximately three years old, weighs 43 pounds, and is heartworm negative. The vet suspects that Kriss Kross may have experienced head trauma, affecting his brain and causing his eyes to cross. His sore ankle is likely the result of a previous injury, which may have caused it to grow incorrectly. Despite this, he doesn't appear to be in pain and has a distinctive, endearing hop when he walks. Kriss Kross has been thriving in a safe and nurturing environment, something he has never experienced before. He has been neutered and is now ready for the next step in his journey. Kriss Kross needs a special home where he can continue to receive the love and care he deserves. Kriss Kross's greatest joy is to be with people. He longs for human connection and eagerly soaks up pets and cuddles. While he is friendly and polite with other dogs, he always prefers to be close to his people. Due to his past trauma, he can be a little anxious and needy, but he has so much love to offer in return. To see more pictures and videos of Kriss Kross copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Thor by clicking the "Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-220 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.
