Story
Tom was born on a farm in an accidental litter. He is 6, goofy, excitable, and thinks he is a lap dog. He has vet anxiety and has medication for it. Hes lived in a rural/suburb most of his life, going on trails or running around a large yard. Im moving to a city now and I dont think the transition would be good for him. Especially since he gets nervous around strangers, unfamiliar noises, and doesnt like to be contained to small spaces. Hes good with some dogs but not with others so a home without other dogs would be best unless you can do a slow introduction. He was raised with cats and is good with them. He loves playing fetch but will turn it into keep away to stay outside longer and moves all his toys to the room he is currently in. He loves being on trails and he is trained to pull, we were working on canicross training. He knows those commands as well as sit, wait, and leave it. He also absolutely loves car rides and will jump in if the door is open.

Story
Benton is 19 months old and is a sweet, calm, happy boy who is great with people and other dogs. He has never been around cats but would probably be fine with them as well. He is house trained and knows basic commands. We acquired him when he was 4 months old, from someone who was unable to keep him due to apartment rules. The ONLY reason we are rehoming him is because our 7 yr old dog is aggressive toward him and needs to be the only dog in the home. Benton would probably do best in a home with other dogs to play with or frequent trips to a dog park.

Story
t toLilly is a sweet gentle dog. She is about 1 year old. She has separation anxiety and tends to chew when left alone so she needs to be in her kennel when you leave until she is trained. She has a large welded dog kennel, so she can't get out when you're not home. She is a shy pup and is very gentle with kids and when taking snacks and treats.

Story
Destin is a 3 year-old big boi who enjoys snuggles, going for walks, and PLAYTIME! This over-sized puppy is nearly 90 lbs of muscle and love. He's described by some of his favorite volunteers as a huge dog who is simply excited about life. He loves to run zoomies in the play yards, and will never turn down a game of fetch. He's a great leash walker, as he's been training with our behavior team, especially when using a transitional lead (we can show you how to use it, too!). Staff and volunteers who work with Destin say he is such a good boy, and when he's not begging to go on walks, he really just wants to cuddle. He's young and energetic, and would be perfect for an active person who enjoys hiking or running, and can give Destin lots of mental and physical stimulation. Destin is reactive toward other dogs, and would be best in a single-dog home. He needs an adopter who is experienced with large breed dogs, and can handle his size and strength. It's hard not to love him though, when he shows you his soft side - his squishy face and big ol' paws are simply irresistible! Destin and leash walking. Neighborhood walks Destin can be gentle or full of energy. An extremely stout walker that requires restraint based on seeing squirrels, etc. All in all, Destin is starting to learn about neighborhood life as a dog. This loving dog has so much potential. He loves to cuddle and receive belly rubs after going on walks. He appears to be a gentle dog with young kids in our neighborhood. He has occasional energy burst playing with his toys then tends to settle down. Destin is reactive to thunderstorms and tends to seek cover under a table. Overall, he is a friendly dog that likes attention and enjoys being near when watching tv and or reading.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Kong has many fine qualities! He is a playgroup allstar and is very adept at reading the other dogs' varied personalities. We use him as a helper dog when new dogs come in, to gauge their friendliness with other canines. He loves people and is friendly with all, never meeting a stranger. He's a pretty good walker, who loves going for strolls and does not pull very much. He is not overly "needy" but he does love a good snuggle session! Probably due to his love of people and other dogs, Kong feels less than comfortable when left alone. His ideal home would have another dog and/or a person who is retired or works remotely. Kong is an absolute treasure and will make some lucky person a wonderful companion!

Story
Gage is a cute fellow who does a splendid Husky vocal impression while in his kennel. He warms up to people quickly, especially if given a butt scratch - this makes him turn in circles and lean in with delight. He's pretty good on leash and does not jump on people, which is always a desirable trait!
