Story
Meet Piper Jo! Piper is a beautiful girl looking for her forever home. She came to us as a stray who was never claimed, and stole our hearts on day one. Piper has an estimated birthday of 10/1/2019, and she weighs roughly 50lbs. Piper is silly, bubbly, and hard not to love! She will melt your heart with her never-ending kisses and constant happy attitude. Although Piper has had some tough times, this girl never lets it get her down. She is sunshine on four paws and will never fair to brighten your day. She does very well with other dogs, though we always require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. She does great with kids, but is best in a cat-free home. Piper Jo is a smart lady, too, walking better on a leash every day, responding to basic commands such as "sit". Piper Jo is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. In late summer of 2024, Piper Jo underwent an FHO surgery on her rear right leg to repair an injury. Due to this, she may occasionally have some stiffness in that leg. A home without many stairs is reccomended by her vet.  Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387.  ##1835185##

Story
Meet Bobo! If snuggles, playtime, and kisses are what you're looking for, than look no further than Bobo. He is the complete package! We believe he is a labrador retriever mix, with an estimated birthday of 8/1/23, and weighing in around 50lbs. Bobo is bubbly, outgoing, and here for a good time. He loves to go on walks and play with all of his friends, and is always happy to see people! Bobo sports a fluffy and eye-catching black coat, and with the proper mainteinance is so soft and silky. Bo has spent many sunny days running around our play yards and socializing in playgroups, and will even go for a dip in our doggy pools when the mood strikes him! Bobo does great with other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any others in the family. He also does very well with kids, but is suited to a home without cats. Bobo is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $175. Interested? Contact us at 615-446-7387 ##2132945##

Story
Meet Tank Carter! Tank Carter  is looking for a calm home to help him recover and heal. Tank is a very lovable labrador mix who was unfortunately diagnosed with Heartworms. He is currently undergoing treatments, and will be so until into the late winter or early spring. Since he is undergoing treatments, he is not available for adoption, however he is searching for a dedicated foster to give him a comfy place to undergo treatment. Tank weighs roughly 45lbs. He is great with other dogs. If you already have any other dogs in the home, a meet and greet would be required prior to taking Tank home.  His foster would be responsible for giving Tank his oral medications as directed, and bringing him to the shelter for check-ins and injections. Tank needs a home that is able to give him love, security, and a calm place for him to rest. All medications and treatments are covered by the Humane Society. If you are interested, please call 615-446-7387.  ##2131914##

Story
Meet Harvest! Harvest, who goes by Harvey, is ready to find a permanent place to call home. Harvey is a handsome labrador retriever mix, with an estimated birthday of 10/31/2020. He weighs in at a hefty 60lbs or so, although he is shorter in stature than your average lab. Harvey sports a silky smooth butter-colored coat, and this guy will never hesitate to show you his big happy smile. If you were to ask our staff their favorite things about Harvey, you'd get one of many answers. A popular one is how when he's excited, Harvey turns into a four-legged tap dancer an will stomp his paws in excitement. He can also be a great conversationalist, and will respond to your talks to him when he's in the mood. Harvey also has an endless love of playtime and toys, he loves to run around and exercize in our play yard. Although Harvey does well with other dogs, he much prefers to be the star of the show so he can have all the attention to himself. If you are thinking about adding Harvey to a home with other pups already, a meet and greet is required. Harvey is best suited to a home with no kids under 10 years, due to his rough and tumble playstyle. He is also suited to a cat free home.  Harvey is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $125 Interested? Call 615-446-7387 ##1877455##

Story
Meet Benny! Hey guys, my name is Benny! Although, my friends call me Benny Boy or Stinky Boy. I am a labrador retriever mix, and I weigh in at about 65lbs. I don't remember my exact birthday, but my friends at the shelter helped me pick a new one, 03/31/2021. I've been here at the shelter for a while now, since the begining of 2022, but I just haven't found the right home yet. You see, when I came to the shelter, I had lots of scars on my legs that my new friends wanted to know about. Let's just say my life before this wasn't very nice, so it was really hard for me to trust these new people. They were very patient with me, they gave me lots of treats and reassurance, and I realized that not all people would treat me like I used to be. In fact, I actually really like making friends now! One of my favorite things to do is to run around and play in our play yards, chasing toys and enjoying the sunshine with all kinds of people to keep me company. Some of my absolute favorite things are yummy treats, and a nice rubber ball (bonus points if it squeaks). I love having my ball so much, sometimes I carry it around all day long. I enjoy spending time with other dogs, but I'd be just as happy to have my people all to myself. Of course, if you do already have any dogs at home, I would definitely need to meet them before I agreed to live with them. I'm not a fan of cats, so a home without is best. Even though my shelter friends have shown me how great people can be to me, I can still sometimes be a little bit shy when I meet brand-new people, so be a little patient with me. I would really love your help finding a forever home that will give me all the love I could ever need.  Benny is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered, with an adoption fee of $125.  Interested in this loving guy? Call us at 615-446-7387 to set an appointment to meet him.  ##1379384##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.About Daniel Daniel is a big, sweet puppy who loves to lay around and would like to be in a home where he is the only dog. He would thrive with someone who will be patient and kind, showing him how they want him to behave and respond, as he is a little unsure of his place in the world.  He is a big puppy, so he will be a pretty big adult, too. Interactions with Other Animals He is an absolute sweetheart, though he finds strange dogs to be scary and may bark and growl at them if they get too close. With proper socialization, over time, we feel this is probably something he can overcome. Origin Story This puppy and his five siblings were the product of a surprise litter. The owners are housing them as we try to find their forever homes, but it is hard on them to have this many large babies at once. His mother looks to be a boxer mix and dad appears to be a lab mix - this is just our best guess! Story
WOW, is Bailey a special girl! Smart as a whip! Bailey loves to play and loves to cuddle. Baily is looking for an active family that she can play with. She says she's not hyper because her favorite thing is sitting with her human and watching TV. Bailey is great with other dogs and would do really well with a playmate but it is not necessary that there be one already in the home. Bailey has not been cat tested but her fosters believe that she would want to chase after them if she saw one so best be sure to have a meet and greet first. Also, our adoption agency will have to put into effect a no children under the age of 13 rule. Bailey can sometimes growl if someone is doing something to her that she doesn't like. There has been no bitting and her fosters are working on this behavior.

Gilda Radner observed: “I think dogs are the most amazing creatures. The give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive.” This reminds us of Butter. Why we love him: He is such a sweetheart! Butter is one year old and weighs 28 pounds. Butter loves his outings in the fenced yard, where he bounds about in total joy and has so much fun! His favorite companion is his friend, Toast, and they have the best time together. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility. Butter is an enthusiastic companion on daily walks and has great potential to be a fine hiking or running buddy, too. We love sitting with Butter to pet him. He is so affectionate and good natured. Butter wants to please and should master any commands you wish to teach him. He is already close to mastering the sit command. This sweet dog is truly sunshine on a rainy day - or any day! Butter will be such a loving and loyal companion! E-mail ccacangels@yahoo.com for more information! Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Story
We acquired Doogie from our son who bred AKC Labradors for hunting/family dogs. He has been our farm/pet for many years, and we love him dearly, but as our age has advanced and health declined we aren't able to give him the exercise and attention he needs to thrive. Doogie is a sweetheart who is accustomed to a primarily outdoor lifestyle. While has has lived most of his life with other labs and small dogs on the farm, he was always housed separately. The other dogs have all moved away with our children, and he is alone now. He has never had an issue with our other dogs, but given that he was always housed separately I would want a new prospective family to be aware of this. He has always played and had fun with other big dogs, and mostly ignored or played with smaller dogs. He is 9 years old, but still in great health and energy. His mother lived to nearly 12 and his father is still living and healthy at 12 years old. AKC can be provided if desired. He is not fixed.
