Story
Updated 04NOV24 **Meet Lucas - The Handsome Furry Energizer Bunny! ** Name: Lucas Gender: Male Weight: 52 lbs Neutered: Yup, he's all set to focus on having fun! Heartworm Status: Negative (he's ready to roll without any worries!) **Personality** Lucas is like a furry tornado of energy! If you're looking for a couch potato, keep scrolling-this guy thinks "nap time is a myth. He's convinced he's part kangaroo, and you'll often find him bouncing around like he's had one too many cups of coffee. Fetch? More like "Let's play until I drop! He's the kind of dog that could power a small city with his enthusiasm-and did we mention he's handsome too? **Origin Story** Lucas's journey hasn't always been easy. He was given away by someone who didn't fully commit to him, but now he's ready to find a forever home with a family that will cherish him for life. He's all about loyalty and love, and he's eager to share his boundless energy with the right people! **Compatibility** Lucas is a social butterfly at adoption events, charming everyone with his goofy antics and irresistible charm. He's great with kids and loves to engage with them. However, he can be a bit sensitive around male strangers who startle him, so a gentle introduction is key. He's always ready to make new friends, both human and furry. And cats? Oh, he's cool with them-he won't chase unless they decide to play hide and seek. Just a heads up: if your cat runs, he might think it's game on! **Lifestyle Needs** Lucas requires an active family that can match his energy levels. If you enjoy running, hiking, or just having fun outdoors, he's your perfect match! He also loves car rides, so whether it's a trip to the park or a scenic drive, he'll be your co-pilot with his nose out the window, soaking in all the sights! **Training and Skills:** Worried about messes? Fear not! Lucas is house trained and crate trained. He understands that his human's shoes are not chew toys (most of the time), but he does have a bit of separation anxiety. With stability and a consistent routine, his anxiety can be reduced, helping him feel more secure in his new home. He's been known to chew up beds and pillows when left alone, so a home where someone is around for most of the day or where he has a furry sibling to keep him company would be ideal! **Adoption Info** If you're ready to add some laughter, love, and a little bit of chaos to your life, Lucas is your guy! Our adoption fee includes all current vaccinations, his microchip, and neuter. Get ready for some tail-wagging adventures, joy-filled car rides, and a lifetime of fun (and maybe a few new pillows) with the handsome Lucas by your side!

Updated: 08NOV24 ** Meet Brewster!** Gender: Male Age: Approximately 5 years old (which is like 35 in dog years-basically a wise old sage!) Breed: Retriever, Black Labrador / Mixed Breed Neutered: Yes Vaccinations: Up to date (because Brewster believes in staying healthy for all the snuggles!) House and Fraternity Trained: Yes (he's ready for all the house parties and snuggle sessions!) Cat Friendly: Absolutely! Kids: He loves the kids in his foster home and he wants to protect them against all threats (real or perceived) - for this reason, we're holding out for a kid-free home for Brewster. **The Snuggler Extraordinaire!** This stunning love bug isn't just your adventure partner; he's also your dedicated couch potato. When you're ready to take a nap, Brewster is already plotting the perfect snuggle position! **Background** Brewster's journey is one of resilience and hope. He was probably on his own for a while, and it shows-he was rescued off the streets, very underweight and injured, with long nails and a body covered in pine needles. It's like he was trying to start a new fashion trend in the wild! After his rescue, he underwent orthopedic surgery in November 2022 to repair his leg, which was broken in two places. But like the champ he is, he bounced back faster than you can say "treat time! Now he's ready to take on life with a joyful spirit and a few extra cuddles. **Stealing Hearts* * After living in boarding and waiting for a foster or forever home, Brewster caught the attention of a client who saw him snuggling with another dog at doggie daycare. A few days later, he hit the jackpot with a fabulous foster home where he's become the ultimate BFF-Best Furry Friend! He's now thriving with three kids and two cats, and rumor has it he's been caught smooching the cats like they're his furry celebrities! **Personality** Brewster can be a little shy at first, but don't worry; he warms up faster than a microwave burrito! Once he's comfortable, his charming personality shines through, and you'll wonder how you ever lived without a dog who can snuggle like a pro. **Skills** Brewster is house and fraternity trained, meaning he knows how to behave like a gentleman and still rock the party! He's also kid-friendly and cat-friendly, making him the perfect addition to any family. If you're looking for a furry friend who's equal parts adventure seeker and master of the art of napping, Brewster is your guy! Just be prepared for some serious cuddle competition from your couch!

Updated; 08NOV24 **Meet Hank** Breed: Chocolate Labrador Retriever Age: 1.5 years (still young enough to believe he can outsmart anyone!) Weight: 60 lbs (of pure chocolatey goodness and joy) Gender: Male (neutered) Health: Up to date on vaccinations (so he's ready for all the fun!) **Background** Hank is a beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever who was found starving in a bad area of town. He was living the "ruff life on the streets, but thanks to some kind-hearted rescuers, he's now ready to trade in his wild ways for a cozy couch and a loving family. He's the quintessential lab-smart, energetic, and convinced he's destined for the role of "Water Master! **Temperament** Hank is a big, lovable goofball who has lived with other dogs and children. However, due to his size and energy level, we recommend a home with kids aged 13 and up. He's like a gentle giant who sometimes forgets he's not a lap dog-watch out, or you might find yourself buried under 60 lbs of chocolate fur! **Favorite Activities** If there's water in sight, Hank is ready to make a splash! He loves water so much that if you leave the bathroom door open while taking a shower or bath, he's likely to make a grand entrance, ready to join the fun. Who needs a rubber duck when you have Hank? **Training** Currently in a foster home, Hank is getting regular walks and exercise. His foster mom is training him to be a pro on-leash, and he's doing fantastic-especially when food is involved! He's like a doggy detective on a mission to sniff out treats. Socializing with another foster dog has been a bit of a snooze-fest for him so far; he's more of a "lone wolf type, but he's perfectly fine with sharing his space. **House Manners** Hank is house, crate, and leash-trained, so he's ready to be the most well-behaved member of your family. Just don't be surprised if he tries to convince you that "couch potato is an official sport! **Notes** If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves water, food, and a good laugh, Hank is your guy! He's excited to find a forever family that appreciates his goofy nature and shares his love for adventures (especially if they involve a splash zone)!

With his gorgeous shiny black coat and striking two different eye colors-one a captivating blue and the other a warm brown-he's ready to steal not just your heart but also the spotlight! Returned to the rescue in November 2023 after spending over a year in a home that clearly didn't understand the meaning of "fur-ever, he's now back with Team Memphis Rescue & Support, living the dream in a spectacular foster home where he's learning all the good doggy manners-because even heartthrobs need a little training! **Picture this** Odin is dog-friendly, people-friendly, and absolutely loves to visit the dog park! His motto? "Why walk when you can prance? He adores long walks where he can explore all the sights and smells-just don't ask him to share his favorite spots! **But wait, there's more!** This charming guy loves kids and is ready to be the perfect companion for any family. Plus, he's cat-friendly-because who doesn't want a buddy who plays well with everyone. **And here's a fun twist** Odin shares his foster home with Buster Brown, a 9-month-old playful love bug who thinks everyone is his new best friend. Together, they're the ultimate comedy duo, bringing joy and laughter wherever they go. Think of them as the canine version of a buddy cop movie-minus the donuts but full of tail wags! **Cuddle Time Champion** Odin is not only affectionate but also a bit of a jokester! He loves to sit in your work chair, demanding cuddles and insisting that his foster mom take a break from the computer. It's hard to resist his charm when he's trying to win your attention! **Movie Night Enthusiast** Odin also enjoys cozying up for movie nights. Whether it's an action flick or a heartwarming drama, he'll be right there with you, soaking up the cinematic experience and providing the perfect furry company. **Kennel Trained and Perfectly Polite** Odin is kennel trained but honestly doesn't need one. He's absolutely perfect and adapts well to any environment, making him an ideal companion for any family. **So, if you're searching for** A loyal companion who will make you laugh and fill your days with love, come meet Odin! This heartthrob is ready to bring joy to your life and fill your home with wagging tails and playful antics. Please consider adopting him through Team Memphis Rescue & Support.
