Story
my brothers and I were dumped out in the neighborhood when we were four months old. We ran together as a pack for several months until I broke my leg. That slowed us down. We saw a lady in her driveway and walked towards her. She got out a big bag of treats and fed us until they were gone. Then she laid out a trail of cheese, which I eagerly followed into a crate. I found myself trapped! My brothers and I were a bit relieved to finally be cared for once again. I am the biggest of the three at 75 pounds and I have thick soft fur. I am a very laid-back, easy-going guy. I will chase the ball a couple times, but then I prefer to roll around in the dirt and lay on my raised dog bed with my little brother. Our leader brother was already adopted. Foster mom says I need a home that has a fence, I am too smart, and how to dodge people when I don’t want to get caught. I would be fine as an only dog, and would also enjoy another young, playful dog to buddy around with. I love to play with shoelaces when they are on feet, hold onto pants legs with my front teeth as FosterMom walks around, and I love to carry stuff animals around the house and take them outside with me. I am looking for an easy-going home that isn’t too chaotic, and will give me lots of love and attention. I am about as easy as they come and my house. manners are great! I rarely bark, but I love to howl when the sirens go by. My best friend here at the foster home is Phoebe who is also posted on this site. We have a good time together and understand each other well. If you’re looking for a dog that won’t drag you all over the place or expect you to walk them miles each day, I am your guy!

Story
Meet Kimber. He was taken in with his brother and buddy Ruger. He is a 3 1/2-4 yr old, 70-75 lb sweetheart lab mix. Kimber is just a big love bug. Tends to be lower energy. He’s a bit on the shy/timid side compared to his brother. He enjoys plenty of affection, chasing and talking to birds, sunbathing, chewing bones, playing with doggy siblings, taking walks, or lounging on the couch. Kimber would enjoy a nice yard or land with doggy friends, plenty of affection, and maybe a couch or comfy bed to call it a day on. In his foster home he has become accustomed to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Kimber is vetted, neutered, microchipped, house trained, kennel trained, walks on a leash, and knows basic commands. Kimber would make a great loving companion. If you would like to meet this sweet guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ . He is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. Story
Apollo is very smart and eager to please and is praise and treat motivated. He learns very quickly. He deals with serious separation anxiety, but the flip side of that is that he’s incredibly loyal and loving. He has a massive amount of energy and needs room to run and play. He is a very vocal dog as well. He knows commands such as sit and lay, go to the bathroom, etc. He is not the best leash walker, but that is probably more due to owner error than anything. He is a RUNNER! He does not come back when called. Think husky-ish level runner and talker. He needs an EXPERIENCED owner. I cannot stress how severe his separation anxiety is. He needs an owner who can be devoted to him most of the time. Apollo can be a great dog with the right owner. He’s absolutely beautiful as well! I went from being a stay at home mom to being a working single mom, and I unfortunately do not have the time Apollo deserves from his owner.

We are planning on starting a family soon and want her to be able to get all of the love and attention she needs she loves people and the little times she has been around kids she has done great! Please let me know if you have any questions we just want to find a loving home for her.

Scout knows commands: sit, come, down, leave it, no, and with me. He has always lived indoors. Scout will pace when he needs to go outside. This boy has not lived with other animals. Scout enjoys car rides. Even though he is friendly with children, he doesn't know his own size, which may be too much for small children. He loves to go for walks, camping, swimming, and dog parks.
