Story
Webster is a mellow, medium-sized dog with a heart as big as his love for naps. Originally found as a stray, he is currently 45 pounds and estimated to be between 5 and 8 years of age. Webster is the kind of dog who is happiest lounging on the couch, soaking up belly rubs, and enjoying the simple things in life. His calm nature makes him an ideal companion for anyone looking for a chill, gentle friend. Webster is not one for excessive exercise or wild adventures, but he’s always up for a stroll around the neighborhood or at the park. In December 2024, Webster had surgery to remove a small tumor on his side. Biopsy results indicated the tumor was cancer but low grade with just a 5-10% chance of return. Webster’s recovery was a breeze, and he hasn’t skipped a beat since surgery. Webster is housebroken and demonstrates no need to be crated when home alone (he has never been destructive). He is great with kids, adults, and other dogs, making him the perfect fit for nearly any home! As of January, Webster is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and is handling treatment well. He will need to continue to refrain from heavy exercise in the next couple of weeks - which he doesn’t seem to mind based on his relaxed demeanor! --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
Meet Blondie! This spunky 11-pound, 8-10 week-old Lab mix is bursting with personality and puppy energy! She’s the ultimate playtime queen—whether she’s stealing toys, wrestling with her siblings (especially by sitting on them), or zooming around without a care in the world. Blondie has zero concept of personal space and believes every moment is the perfect moment for fun! While she’s not much for sitting still, when she finally wears herself out, she turns into the sweetest cuddle buddy. She’s making great strides in potty training and is already sleeping through the night in her crate. If you’re looking for a feisty, affectionate pup who will keep you on your toes and shower you with kisses, Blondie is your girl! --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
Silas was born here on 5-7-24 and is another baby that hasn't had a visit or a chance at a "furever" family up to this point. This guy is very lovable and totally enjoys playing fetch and only weighs in at around 35 pounds so, he will not be a large boy. He is great with other dogs but does have high play energy and another dog in the home would need to match. However, he is submissive with other dogs if it comes to that. Silas is a puppy and will need all the training that comes along with a puppy such as leash training and house training. This boy has a gentle temperament. So, any active family with room for him to run should work for this guy. He is up to date medically for his age and current on flea/heartworm prevention and neutered. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 5, 2025, 12:18 pm
