Willow is an active, loving girl. She absolutely loves to chase a ball! Willow gets nervous, so she would do best in a calm home where she is the only fur baby. She loves people who are kind to her, and would make a wonderful walking buddy.  Willow is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and tested for parasites. She is available for adoption in a home where she will be allowed inside as part of the family.  Willow has recently graduated from PetSmart's Beginner obedience class. There is no adoption fee for Willow. This fee has been underwritten by a couple of her favorite volunteers. Small active children can make Willow nervous and reactive. She needs a home with adults or older children. ##842558##

Story
Nellie is a super sweet dog who has had lots of obedience training and knows lots of commands! She knows sit, down, shake, place ("break" to leave her place), heel, and drop it. She is housetrained. She loves to run, swim, hike, and play but also loves her snuggles. She is an awesome dog who happens to have some anxiety around other dogs that can show up as aggression, so she needs to be an only pet in the household (she's been fine with us walking her near other dogs on a leash - we just don't let her actually approach them as a precaution). She's never shown any human aggression but since she is nervous around new people/situations, we recommend no young kids/toddlers in her new home. She does take a daily anxiety medication that we just started for her to help her adjust to being in boarding and to a new home. She may be able to transition off this medication once she is used to her new home. It is not expensive, so don't let the meds be a reason to not consider this adorable and very smart girl as part of your family! Meet Snowball and Smores! These two are a bonded pair so must be adopted together! They are very sweet but also very calm. The adoption fee includes their cage as well as a play pen. To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. Story
Meet Penny, a one-year-old sweetheart with a snowy white coat adorned with charming grey spots, including one that playfully wraps around her eye, giving her an irresistible look. Penny is a gentle soul who's still learning to come out of her shell, but her love for people is simply unmatched. When Penny first arrived at the shelter, she was a bit unsure of her new surroundings. During her initial time outside, she stuck closely by our sides, seeking comfort and reassurance. But as the days have passed, Penny has started to show her curious, sweet personality-especially around gentle, calm dogs. She's begun offering friendly sniffs, a sign she's growing braver and more comfortable in her environment. With each interaction, we've seen more of Penny's warm heart as she's slowly learning how fun it can be to socialize. While Penny may need a little extra time to feel fully confident, there's no doubt she'll blossom in a loving home that offers patience, kindness, and lots of snuggles. Her ideal family would be one that understands her quieter nature and gives her the space to grow at her own pace. Penny absolutely adores people, and once she knows you're a friend, she'll be your loyal companion for life-always there with those sweet eyes and gentle affection.Though she's still learning how to interact with other dogs, Penny has shown that she enjoys the company of calm, well-mannered canine pals. With continued socialization and positive reinforcement, she's sure to grow into a more outgoing pup who enjoys making new furry friends. Will you be the caring family who helps Penny grow into the confident dog she's meant to be?Come meet her at Anderson County Paws M,T, Th, F, Sat between 12-5
