Story
Lilis is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet who just wants to cuddle on the couch or go for a long walk. She is a 7-year-old mixed rescue from Mexico in need of rehoming. All she really wants is a space to run around and someone to cuddle up to. She is active and loves a good hike in nature, but she has no problem simply lounging around while you’re at work. She has never displayed destructive or aggressive behaviour, but since she is extremely food driven, her family will have to firmly teach her about boundaries and impulse control when it comes to food. She currently lives with a cat and can live with children over a certain age that understand dog body language and boundaries. She has lived with a young child and it didn’t work out as the child was very young and Lilis seems to do better with calmer energy. She should ideally be the only dog in the household, but with proper introduction and positive reinforcement, she could be a great addition to your pack. Lilis is quiet and entirely housebroken, so apartment life would not be a problem for her, provided she gets enough exercise! Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things! All of our rescue dogs are vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped and de-wormed.
