Story
Meet Bumper, aka Boomer, aka Mr. B! Mr. B is a lovable, high energy, 2.5 year old chocolate lab looking for his forever home. Mr. B came to the ARL in November with a broken hind leg. He is now fully healed, and ready for someone who can take the time to work with him and train him so that his true gentleman nature can shine. He loves to go for long walks, and walks very well using a gentle lead. He also loves to play catch, enjoys treats, and belly rubs. He knows some commands like sit, and is crate and house trained. Mr. B is currently with a foster family that has a seven-year-old female chocolate lab, and three elementary aged children. Despite having lots of energy, he has done very well with kids, although he does love to steal socks, toys of all kinds, and TV remotes. Mr. B will want and demand all of your attention, and because of this it is recommended he be in a home where he can be your one and only. Available at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Birdsboro Pa 19508, KL#1257

Story
Just a few minutes with Ripley and your heart melts. That’s all it takes for him to open your mind and for you to fall in love with him. There is something so beautiful about his soul and the way he loves life just brings a smile to your face. He’s such a good boy and really deserves to have his own home. Ripley has lived in his foster home since he was just six months old and semi-feral. He was originally rescued when he and his three littermates were found wandering through the woods down south. His littermates have since been adopted. Ripley is one of three of our dogs to be available for adoption the longest. His foster mom worked diligently with Ripley to gain his trust and help him feel comfortable in new and different situations.  He would soon, no longer be considered semi feral. At the end of 2019, Ripley was just starting to attend adoption events to find his furever family when Covid hit, forcing adoption events to come to a halt.  Just as public adoption events began again, Ripley became a frequent flyer at vet appointments instead - in search of an answer to what was causing sudden weight loss, impaired vision and changes to his skin. We spared no expense and Ripley went to see multiple specialists at top veterinary hospitals in order to find an answer. The good news: x-rays and ultrasound proved Ripley to be entirely healthy. As for his vision, we learned that Ripley had indeed become completely blind.  After much testing, they discovered that Ripley had damage to the optic nerves in both eyes (either from an infection or from a temporary auto-immune condition).  He is not on any medicine as he is completely healthy. While Ripley is now blind, it doesn’t define who he is at all. Ripley is a well behaved gentleman, does well on a leash, gets around very well despite his blindness, loves to explore and smell, loves attention and is a total sweetheart. He simply LOVES the ladies (preferring both female humans and canines over males). We would love for him to land a fenced in yard (for his safety and his love of being outside) Another canine companion (male or female) Adult only home for a more predictable environment (to live his best life) Some patience & understanding (he’ll bring the thank you kisses) Ripley is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz One of the best parts of our rescue, is that we want our adoptions to be successful. Don’t let his special needs scare you away. If you’re willing to take a chance on a dog as special as Ripley, we can help guide you if you find you need help with his transition. ♥ #mostlymuttzrescue #TeamRipley #specialneedsdog #adoptabledogs #takeachance #lovedoesamazingthings PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 ##411128##

Story
Meet Aniken: A Shy but Sweet Soul Aniken, a handsome lab mix, is looking for the kind of love that transforms lives—both his and yours. After spending months in a shelter as a puppy with little socialization, Aniken is understandably shy, especially around new people. In fact, he’s the shyest of his four siblings. But don’t let that fool you—this boy has a heart of gold just waiting to shine with the right person by his side. Aniken has made wonderful progress learning to walk on a leash, but he would still thrive best in a home with a fenced yard where he can feel safe and secure. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, and their company brings out his playful side. What Aniken needs most is someone with patience, love, and the understanding that building trust takes time. Once he feels safe, he’ll show you that love truly is all you need. https://facebook.com/mostlymuttzwww.mostlymuttz.org Aniken is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). Story
Meet Annie and Abilene! This inseparable duo shares an unbreakable bond that’s as heartwarming as it is inspiring. Growing up in the shelter without the socialization they needed, both girls are a bit on the shy side—Annie being the shyer of the two. But don’t let that fool you! Together, they bring out the best in each other, with Abilene’s playful energy encouraging Annie to open up and explore the world. Abilene, with her fabulous ears and gentle charm, is a bundle of playful energy once she feels comfortable. She absolutely loves romping with other dogs and is eager to wiggle her way into your heart as the fun-loving companion she’s meant to be. Annie, on the other hand, leans heavily on her sister for guidance. With Abilene by her side, Annie learns to trust, play, and embrace her curiosity. These two are perfectly matched, balancing each other in the sweetest way possible. Annie and Abilene must be adopted together—they’re a package deal of love, loyalty, and joy. If you’re ready to welcome double the companionship into your life, these sisters are waiting for their forever family to show them what love is all about. Abilene is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). Abilene & Annie have a partially sponsored adoption fee - please inquire. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz If you are interested in ABILENE and would like to give her the loving home she deserves, please contact Mostly Muttz! You can apply to adopt ABILENE at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. Story
Meet Yuki: Your Snowy Ray of Happiness! Yuki means “snow” and “happiness,” and I truly live up to my name! I’m an 11-year-old retired breeder who is ready to spend my golden years showering someone with love and loyalty. Don’t let my age fool you—I still have energy for playtime and lots of love to give. My favorite thing in the world? Snuggling up with you! I’ll even flop right in front of you for pets and belly rubs. I’m living in a busy foster home right now, and I get along with everyone—except the cat. My foster mom says it’s best for me to find a cat-free forever home. I adore people of all ages and thrive on attention, so I’d love a family who enjoys spending time with me. I’m also crate-trained and nearly housebroken. I had a couple of accidents early on. While I’m a good girl, I still have a youthful streak and sometimes chew on blankets—but I listen well when corrected. I need to be on a leash or a tie-out in the yard because I’m an adventurer at heart and might look for an escape route. My foster mom always supervises me outdoors to keep me safe. Recently, I was spayed and had a mammary mass removed. Thankfully, it was benign! However, there is a spot on my knee that needs monitoring. At my age, surgery could be tough on my body, so keeping an eye on it is the best course of action. Right now, it doesn’t bother me one bit! I’m a happy-go-lucky girl who loves toys, attention, and just being by your side. I settled into my foster home like I’ve always belonged, and I can’t wait to find my forever family to spoil me for the rest of my days. Will you take a chance on me? I promise to fill your life with unconditional love and joy! Yuki is spayed, up to date on shots, and monthly preventatives. Any potential adopter will be required to travel to Harrisburg to meet Yuki with all family members including other dogs. Story
Meet Moose!
 🐾 Breed: Golden Retriever
 🐾 Age: 1 year old
🐾 Size: 82 lbs (currently)
🐾 Energy Level: Active & Playful
🐾 Good with Kids: Older kids, may be too much for young children
🐾 Good with Other Dogs: Yes, but can be a little too "in your face" for some dogs
🐾 Location: York Haven, PA About Moose:
Meet Moose, the lovable goofball with a heart full of joy! At just one year old, Moose is already full of personality and affection. This active boy loves going on walks, lounging on the couch, playing with his toys (especially balls and chew bones), and sitting on laps. He’s truly a snuggle buddy at heart. While Moose has been through a lot, he’s ready to find a forever home where he can live his best life. Moose was surrendered due to bilateral hip dysplasia, and while his left hip has already been repaired, he will eventually need surgery for his right hip within the next 1-2 years. His weight needs to be carefully managed to help with his hip health, but he’s still an energetic pup who loves to play and explore. What makes Moose special? Moose is a “ladies’ man” who thrives on human companionship and loves being around people and other dogs. He's a little too enthusiastic for small children but would do best in a home with older kids or adults who can keep up with his playful nature. He has a sensitive stomach and skin, so he’s on a special diet and takes a daily probiotic. Moose enjoys toys, and while he takes good care of most, he also has a playful side and may tear up a toy or two—especially when there’s a squeaker involved! He’s very much a "lap dog" and loves being near his humans, whether it's lounging on the couch or going for a walk. Moose is learning leash manners, and while he can be a bit of a puller, he responds well to guidance from his foster family. He’s also a car companion, as long as he’s close to someone he trusts. Moose needs a home where he can get plenty of love, attention, and the care he deserves. He’s looking for a family that understands his medical needs, can help him maintain a healthy weight, and provide lots of fun and affection. If you're looking for a playful, snuggly companion and are willing to work with him on his needs, Moose might be the perfect fit for you! Will you give this big goofball the loving home he’s waiting for? 🐾💛

Story
Meet Daisy!
Breed: Golden Retriever / Irish Setter Mix
Age: 10 Months
Surrendered Due to Allergies Daisy is a playful, energetic young dog looking for a home that can keep up with her lively spirit! At just 10 months old, she’s already packed with personality and has a love for outdoor adventures. She absolutely adores spending time in the yard, and her favorite pastime? Picking up large rocks and carrying them around like precious treasures! Daisy is especially fond of the snow – she’ll put her nose right in it and sniff around. Daisy is already familiar with basic commands like "sit," "paw," and "leave it," but like most puppies, she’s still working on her manners. She can be a little mouthy and tends to jump up, so she’ll need an owner who is committed to consistent training and redirection. Daisy will do better with all adults and children over 14 because of her puppy ways. She's also working on staying calm and not jumping, but she's a quick learner and eager to please! Though she’s still getting to know her foster brothers, Daisy is very social and seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. Since she’s just been spayed, her interactions with other dogs have been limited, but she's slowly being introduced to her foster siblings. She’s still learning leash manners, so she tends to pull, but with consistent training, she will improve. Daisy has a high energy level and a working drive, making her an excellent candidate for agility or other active pursuits. Daisy would thrive in a home where she can get lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, or engaging in agility training, she’s up for any activity that keeps her moving and learning. If you’re looking for a fun, enthusiastic companion who will keep you on your toes and make your heart melt, Daisy might just be the perfect fit for you! Daisy is UTD on vaccines, monthly preventatives, spayed and microchipped. She is fostered in York Haven, PA. Any perspective home will need to travel with all family members and dogs.
