Story
was cage kept and kept tightly on a chain the first 2 years of his life due to being the bigger dog in my grandmothers home. my grandmother has recently passed away and i am moving into my own apartment that doesn’t allow dogs bigger then 40lbs. otis is a sweet lovable dog with a lot of puppy energy he wasn’t able to get out due to his past living conditions. he is a really good dog, he has never caused me any issues, he isn’t the biggest fan of cats but he doesn’t have an issue with them as long as they don’t have an issue with him. he is 3 years old and was born on thanksgiving of 2021 from a lab and a pittbull that my aunt had bread. he is nutered, i’m not sure what shots he has if any, he is crate trained, leash trained( may tug a bit) house trained and potty trained( if he has to go he will go to the door). overall he is an amazing dog, it hurts me to have to post him on here but i don’t have another option. i just want him to go to a home where he is loved and gets attention!

Story
Hi I am Shadow, formerly known as Fizz........... and I am sad and confused currently, but am sure it will pass, right?  You see I was adopted by my best friend about a year ago.  This guy, he really "got me", he was patient while I settled in, it takes me a few days to get comfy.  Don't get me wrong I will love you right off the bat, as I love all people and other doggos so much, but in a I will pace around a bit and try to find the perfect rest spot in the house for me kinda way.  New digs are a bit scary and I want to make sure I fully check the place out.  He understood that I love toys, I won't destroy them (or anything else) I will just play and play with my toys.  I am crate trained and house broken, however I will tinkle a little if you grab at me too fast (I don't have a mean bone in my body so when I am scared I just leak a bit)..... someone must not have been too nice to me along the way...............once I new my best friend wasn't going to hurt me that stopped.  Man, I sure do miss that dude.   A little more about me, the call me a lab mix, I am super smart like I hear that labs are.  I am proud to show you all of my tricks, sit lay down, spin in circles (that makes me dizzy, but I don't mind), I come when I am called and I walk decently on the leash.  I will get better if I went for more walkies, but right now I am just excited to go.  I am about three (or maybe four) years old, not sure since I was originally a stray.  I am definately a mix though because you see I am a small guy, only 25lbs.  So I have the best of both worlds big old brain, small little body!  What else can I tell you--- oh, you are probably wondering what happened to the BFF, well I am not exactly sure.  He returned me back to the rescue and said he was too busy for little ol' me.  The rescue people made room and even reunited me with my original foster, as they didn't want me to be any more sad or confused.  I recognized my old foster pup brothers and sisters right away and we got to get all caught up and they help me get over missing my friend.  I would do absolutely fine in a house with or without other pups, but would like humans who want to hang out and are around more than not-- as you can guess I don't like that "busy" word.  I am not sure, if I ever met a cat, but if you have one and want to adopt me, my foster would get me cat tested.   I am available for adoption today at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt.  Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh- PA 15144 KL#16182.  ##1982188##

Meet Bailey! The Sweetest Lab Mix Looking for Her Forever Home! Bailey is a 6-month-old, 48lb lab mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This sweet girl has spent her entire young life in an overcrowded, noisy shelter before Paws Across Pittsburgh stepped in to give her a second chance. Bailey’s Best Qualities: Super smart & eager to please House-trained (with an occasional puppy accident) Crate-trained (though she’s not thrilled about going in at first) Gets along great with dogs, loves people, & enjoys playing with cats! Loves toys, playtime, and snuggles! Bailey can be a little timid when meeting new people, sometimes letting out a few nervous barks, but once she realizes you’re a friend, she warms up quickly! She’s still learning not to nibble when giving kisses, but she’s improving every day. Bailey would be best in a home without little kids because of her size and energy.  Bailey is: Spayed Microchipped Up to date on all vaccines Bailey will be available for adoption on or after February 2nd through Paws Across Pittsburgh! If you think this lovable pup could be the perfect addition to your family, apply online today at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com. Let’s find Bailey the loving home she deserves!  Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA 15144 KL#16182 ##2290320##

Story
Meet Snoop!Snoop is a fun-loving, energetic 60lb, 2-year-old Lab mix who's always up for adventure and snuggles. Just like his famous namesake, Snoop is universally liked and gets along with everyone! He’s great with kids and takes treats gently. While he’s still working on his greeting manners (he loves to jump up to say hello), he’s already mastered not jumping on children. Snoop is fully housetrained—he rings the bell on the door when he needs to go out or waits patiently for you to take him every few hours. He’s never had an accident in the house! He’s also crate trained and happily goes into his crate when it’s time, but he’s equally well-behaved outside of it and shows no signs of destructive behavior. While Snoop could use some improvement on his leash manners, he’s incredibly sweet and knows how to relax as a couch potato after some exercise. He would be in heaven with a home where he gets endless pets, attention and gets to hang out with his people! Snoop would thrive in an active family or with someone who has time to engage with him, whether through play or training. He’s looking for a forever home where he can share his love and energy. He would be happy to live with another dog or cat or would even content to just live with his human besties.  ##2291348##

Story
Tooty is a super friendly and affectionate dog to adults and kids and other dogs. She is about 2 1/2 years old and 60 pounds. She is energetic, excitable, and runs a lot! She still jumps a lot and, because she is 60 pounds, may not be suitable for households with children. From my experience, Tooty gets along with all dogs. However, she cannot cohabitate with cats. I have a large fenced in backyard and she loves to run and 'hunt' for small animals like shrews, moles, and chipmunks. She has a strong prey drive. She loves to chew on strong, hard Benebones. She likes to chew on small items around the house but doesn't chew on furniture. She is fully house-trained. There have been no incidents of peeing or pooping in the house.

Story
Rex is a loyal dog to his owner. He has been largely friendly to my fiancee and our four children. He did bite one of the kids on the arm, it was a surface wound and didn't penetrate the skin. He gets jealous and can 'snap at' others and our other dog. Rex is affectionate and loves to run. He needs a lot of time outside but he would be most happy snuggled up with his owner. As a rescue dog, it's apparent that he has had prior issues with either people and/or other dogs. He would need to go through more training to be better around other dogs. He should not cohabitate with cats. Because of his size and apprehensive temperament, he would be better in a home without small children. He loves to bark at deer and howl along with ambulance sirens! He will make someone very happy... I know it!
