Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Clark GriswoldNamed after the iconic character from 'Christmas Vacation', this lovely 15-week-old labradoodle mix is ready to bring holiday cheer to his forever home!  Clark is the one brother in the bunch that has a smooth, retriever-style coat.  It's gorgeous, but probably won't need as much coat maintenance as your typical labradoodle coat.   Clark is full of puppy energy, charm, and a little bit of mischief—just like his namesake. Whether it’s chasing toys, learning new tricks, or snuggling by the fireplace, Clark is the perfect sidekick for all of life’s adventures (and vacations)!     This little guy is smart, playful, and ready to steal your heart. Clark is looking for a family who will give him all the love, training, and cuddles he deserves.   Interested in meeting Clark? Contact Haven to Home and let us know why you’d love to welcome this festive furball into your family.    Hurry, because just like Christmas magic, he won’t be available for long!   Let’s make Clark’s holiday wish come true!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.  We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.  Thank you!December 13, 2024, 8:23 pm

Story
Sam has been with the shelter since 2022. During this time Sam has really shown us his personality, and how much he loves his toys. He will happily spend his mornings showing the kennel staff all the toys he was giving the day before, and the stuffed animals seem to really be his favorites. His volunteer friends tell us that Sam is a little shy when he is first meeting new people, but once you take the chance to get to know him, he really shines. Besides his plushies, his favorite activities are playing fetch in the yard and going for long walks. If you are looking for a great playmate for yourself, Sam might fit well into your life! Behavioral Evaluation: Yellow/Blue—14+ Kids, Dog Selective (Multiple Meets), Flight RiskSam is very outgoing once he gets comfortable, he just doesn’t always introduce well to new people, so you may need to go slow to begin with. He likes toys, particularly tennis balls, and is an all-around fun guy. Sam is one that you will want to watch as he seems to be a bit of an escape artist. For more resources to help with at any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617

Story
Yellow—14+ Kid by Kid, Dog by DogYzma is a lovely girl but can be quite nervous during first encounters. It`s essential to slow down and take your time with her. Allow her to investigate you at her own pace until she feels safe and recognizes that you are not a threat. Once she establishes trust, she opens up and becomes playful. Yzma does exceptionally well on a leash; when she feels slight pressure, she relaxes the leash. At first, she may be nervous about handling, but once she realizes you`re petting her, she relaxes and becomes more engaged. Although she doesn`t seem to know how to play with toys, she prefers more interaction with her handler. After she recognizes you as trustworthy, she enjoys putting her paws on you and playfully running around with her little rear tucked in, almost as if she`s doing a playful run. She likes to chase you and enjoys being chased in return. Notably, she does not exhibit any resource-guarding tendencies.During stranger introductions, Yzma initially appears fearful and may try to hide behind her handler. However, when coaxed to sniff and say hello, she reluctantly approaches, sniffs, and then backs away. She seems less comfortable around male strangers. When introduced to another dog, Yzma behaves beautifully. Although she is cautious, she is also curious and approaches appropriately. She interacts in a more tolerant, investigative manner but eventually loosens up and even tries to engage in play.Yzma also knew a few behavior cues, such as Sit, Down, Shake, Stay, and Come! Yzma was nervous around all the objects that we tested her with. I believe she is under-socialized.For more resources to help with any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDTBureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617

Story
Beaker is a great middle aged gentlemen that came to us when his family could no longer care for him. At no fault of his own, Beaker found himself in need of a loving home to enjoy the rest of his years. Beaker previously lived with cats and young children, however when it comes to other dogs Beaker is very selective. Beaker seems to prefer female dogs of his size and energy level. A meet and greet at our shelter with any potential canine siblings would be required. Beaker is quite mild mannered, walks nicely on a leash and can be a bit shy at first. Once Beaker warms up to you he loves to play and get the zoomies! Beaker is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. If interested in adopting loveable Beaker please call 570 784- 3669 ext 1 or email vicki@nokillarc.org

Story
Drover is a beautiful neutered 2.5 year old lab/pit mix likely that originally came from San Antonio, Texas. He is housetrained. Current on vaccines! Chill most of the time! Or gets a little playful! He is trained for 'sit', 'down' and 'stay'! He walks well on leash. He is kid friendly and would probably be best with kids that are older because of his size! He is approximately 60 lbs. He was very good at his first adoption event in Tractor Supply Store! If you are interested in meeting or adopting Drover please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief (5 minutes) application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org. ##2177753##
