Story
Codie - Codie is a 2 year old super sweet lab mix that has been in foster care his whole life, patiently waiting for his forever family. His sister, Roxxie, was with us as well, but she was adopted this past year to a wonderful family. Codie loves to go on walks and loves the dog park & being around other pups. He is very shy at first with humans and other pups, but it just takes him a little time to warm up. He just has to make sure he can trust you. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He loves snacks and cheese. That's the way to his heart. He is fully crate trained and potty trained. If there was ever a dog that was autistic, I believe Codie to be. He is so smart and has really come out of his shelter but it really does take time. He would love to live in his kennel if I would let him, but I won't. It's going to take a special family who will take the time with him. He would thrive with another pup to lead the way. He follows Snoop around and steals all the toys and loves to grab things in the house to take to his kennel. 😂 If you are missing something, he usually has it. He is so sweet and so funny. ECHO IS IN A FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED.   This is Echo. As you can see, Echo is gigantic, but gentle. Echo and two siblings were found on a dark country road in February of 2023. She was badly abused, and is extremely shy. Echo has received lots of love and attention, but is still a very scared girl, who will need lots of love and gentle care. New situations and people can be terrifying for Echo, and her fear sometimes expresses itself through aggression. We are working with her to overcome this, but she will need training and love. If you can break through that shell, you will find a gigantic, thoughtful, couch potato. If you give Echo a chew bone and a comfy seat, she will be one of the happiest creatures you have ever met. She is extremely intelligent, emotive, and personable. If you annoy Echo, she will remember it, and steal your seat in revenge. The only way to get her to leave is by giving her a belly rub. Echo will shadow your every move. If you are going somewhere, she wants to come with you. She is at her happiest when she has a nice chewbone and the seat next to you. She is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Echo up north to her new family. WINNIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!   Hi! My name is Winnie!   I would love to meet you in person—that’s kind of my thing. But the internet is life these days, so I’ll give it a shot!   I think life is an adventure, and I am excited about everything! My sister and my foster think I have too much energy, but I’m pretty sure that’s impossible. I love to walk, but I’d rather run. And I will play until the sun goes down, and then snuggle until we can play again.   I have been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. I weigh around 50 pounds.   All I need is a forever home, and some love. And maybe some play time. Lots and lots of play time.   Winnie, along with her sister, were found in rural Mississippi on August 10, 2022. At the time of her rescue, the vet estimated her to be about 6 months old. We picked February 25th to celebrate as her birthday, and she and her sister had a fun time celebrating their first.   When we found Winnie, she had a broken leg. Her veterinarian says it has mended nicely, and seems to have left her without any ill effects. She also has a partially blue eye—we aren’t sure if it is congenital, or caused by the same injury that broke her leg.   Winnie tries very hard to be good. As far as housebreaking goes, she is mostly there, and very well crate trained. She is also trained to sit, shake, and stay, though excitement tends to overcome her determination to listen.    You can apply to adopt Winnie at www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   Her adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to PA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Winnie up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Winnie here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 9:57 am

Story
Affectionately called "Tiny Terra" by her foster pawrents, this gorgeous little pup is an adorable mixture of sassy and sweet. Terra is a medium sized mixed breed that we guess is part Lab and part who knows. She was pulled from a local shelter after being put on the euthanasia list. We saved her, got her healthy and this little pup is ready for her furever! And yes, her ears do naturally stand like that. We're in love with them too. Terra is a precious pup that loves to play but has also settled into an amazing pup that enjoys a good cuddle and movie on the couch. She loves to play in the yard and would adore having a 4 legged sibling that likes to play. She also enjoys going for runs or walks in the neighborhood. This girl handles car rides like a pro and immediately starts the sniffs when you crack the window. She is naturally curious though so an owner that can help establish boundaries would be better. She's managed to get her nose in our coffee cups more than once but isn't destructive. This playful pup will be an amazing addition to the right family. Terra would be great with older kids that are steady on 2 legs. She's incredibly smart, knows sit and working on place, house trained, crate trained, and knows her leash manners. Terra corrects easily and is very sensitive so gentle guidance will be all you need for her. She can get chatty when she's frustrated, like when her 4 legged siblings don't want to play. :D A simple "that's enough" and she settles. If you're interested in learning more about this gorgeous girl or would like to apply and have her join your family, please submit this form: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. We'll forward it to her foster mom who will reach out from there. ================================================ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Jak Daniels Hi I’m Jak, I started my life in a rural shelter so I’m still getting used to the finer things in life like a comfy bed and fun toys. I am a very sweet and loving boy who needs a family who will be patient as I grow in confidence. I am very shy at first but the right family will bring out my confidence and help me adjust. I LOVE chewing on bones and playing with toys. Although I am a little unsure of the great outdoors, I walk really well on a leash if we walk slow and get used to all the new noises and smells. I do great with kids and other dogs. I am still adjusting to this new life outside of the shelter but so far I’m loving all the attention from my humans and spending time sunbathing in the yard. Jak would make a great addition to any family who has the patience to bring him out of his shell and show him what being a dog really is!

Story
Being surrendered by a breeder at age 9, my best years are yet to come! Hello there, I’m Rosa, said to be an English Lab weighing approx. 45# and ready for the next chapter in my life! Did you know there are many benefits in adopting a senior dog? We seniors are more forgiving, happy with the little things, bond closely with our humans and cherish “the moments” with few expectations other than giving/taking love and sharing time with our person. I’m also a friendly girl with people once comfortable, but can be “snarky” with initial introductions.  Once comfortable, I do have a “Hysterical Smile” that displays my true personality. Still young at heart with spring in my step, some exercise is needed. Already house and crate trained, I do walk well on a leash and would love a companion to share nature and take in the local sights. For my protection, a 4 foot fence would be needed. A buddy dog in the home is just fine as I do romp and play with other dogs here at Molly’s Place, but a proper introduction is needed.   I’m a true girl, “What You See is What You Get” kind of situation. No surprises here and none of that “puppy stuff”. I live for the moment, have plenty of unconditional love to give and want nothing more than a person to call my own! I’m Rosa, a girl with a Hysterical Grin and a Heart of Gold just waiting for my future to unfold. To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org.
