Story
Meet Bumper, aka Boomer, aka Mr. B! Mr. B is a lovable, high energy, 2.5 year old chocolate lab looking for his forever home. Mr. B came to the ARL in November with a broken hind leg. He is now fully healed, and ready for someone who can take the time to work with him and train him so that his true gentleman nature can shine. He loves to go for long walks, and walks very well using a gentle lead. He also loves to play catch, enjoys treats, and belly rubs. He knows some commands like sit, and is crate and house trained. Mr. B is currently with a foster family that has a seven-year-old female chocolate lab, and three elementary aged children. Despite having lots of energy, he has done very well with kids, although he does love to steal socks, toys of all kinds, and TV remotes. Mr. B will want and demand all of your attention, and because of this it is recommended he be in a home where he can be your one and only. Available at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Birdsboro Pa 19508, KL#1257

Story
Just a few minutes with Ripley and your heart melts. That’s all it takes for him to open your mind and for you to fall in love with him. There is something so beautiful about his soul and the way he loves life just brings a smile to your face. He’s such a good boy and really deserves to have his own home. Ripley has lived in his foster home since he was just six months old and semi-feral. He was originally rescued when he and his three littermates were found wandering through the woods down south. His littermates have since been adopted. Ripley is one of three of our dogs to be available for adoption the longest. His foster mom worked diligently with Ripley to gain his trust and help him feel comfortable in new and different situations.  He would soon, no longer be considered semi feral. At the end of 2019, Ripley was just starting to attend adoption events to find his furever family when Covid hit, forcing adoption events to come to a halt.  Just as public adoption events began again, Ripley became a frequent flyer at vet appointments instead - in search of an answer to what was causing sudden weight loss, impaired vision and changes to his skin. We spared no expense and Ripley went to see multiple specialists at top veterinary hospitals in order to find an answer. The good news: x-rays and ultrasound proved Ripley to be entirely healthy. As for his vision, we learned that Ripley had indeed become completely blind.  After much testing, they discovered that Ripley had damage to the optic nerves in both eyes (either from an infection or from a temporary auto-immune condition).  He is not on any medicine as he is completely healthy. While Ripley is now blind, it doesn’t define who he is at all. Ripley is a well behaved gentleman, does well on a leash, gets around very well despite his blindness, loves to explore and smell, loves attention and is a total sweetheart. He simply LOVES the ladies (preferring both female humans and canines over males). We would love for him to land a fenced in yard (for his safety and his love of being outside) Another canine companion (male or female) Adult only home for a more predictable environment (to live his best life) Some patience & understanding (he’ll bring the thank you kisses) Ripley is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz One of the best parts of our rescue, is that we want our adoptions to be successful. Don’t let his special needs scare you away. If you’re willing to take a chance on a dog as special as Ripley, we can help guide you if you find you need help with his transition. ♥ #mostlymuttzrescue #TeamRipley #specialneedsdog #adoptabledogs #takeachance #lovedoesamazingthings PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 ##411128##

Story
Meet Aniken: A Shy but Sweet Soul Aniken, a handsome lab mix, is looking for the kind of love that transforms lives—both his and yours. After spending months in a shelter as a puppy with little socialization, Aniken is understandably shy, especially around new people. In fact, he’s the shyest of his four siblings. But don’t let that fool you—this boy has a heart of gold just waiting to shine with the right person by his side. Aniken has made wonderful progress learning to walk on a leash, but he would still thrive best in a home with a fenced yard where he can feel safe and secure. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, and their company brings out his playful side. What Aniken needs most is someone with patience, love, and the understanding that building trust takes time. Once he feels safe, he’ll show you that love truly is all you need. https://facebook.com/mostlymuttzwww.mostlymuttz.org Aniken is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). Do you think you can give ANIKEN the love and patience he deserves? Please contact Mostly Muttz Rescue. You can apply to adopt ANIKEN at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. Story
Meet Annie and Abilene! This inseparable duo shares an unbreakable bond that’s as heartwarming as it is inspiring. Growing up in the shelter without the socialization they needed, both girls are a bit on the shy side—Annie being the shyer of the two. But don’t let that fool you! Together, they bring out the best in each other, with Abilene’s playful energy encouraging Annie to open up and explore the world. Abilene, with her fabulous ears and gentle charm, is a bundle of playful energy once she feels comfortable. She absolutely loves romping with other dogs and is eager to wiggle her way into your heart as the fun-loving companion she’s meant to be. Annie, on the other hand, leans heavily on her sister for guidance. With Abilene by her side, Annie learns to trust, play, and embrace her curiosity. These two are perfectly matched, balancing each other in the sweetest way possible. Annie and Abilene must be adopted together—they’re a package deal of love, loyalty, and joy. If you’re ready to welcome double the companionship into your life, these sisters are waiting for their forever family to show them what love is all about. Abilene is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). Abilene & Annie have a partially sponsored adoption fee - please inquire. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz If you are interested in ABILENE and would like to give her the loving home she deserves, please contact Mostly Muttz! You can apply to adopt ABILENE at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/. Story
Tillie is a stunningly beautiful girl with a heart full of love and an insatiable zest for life. Always happy and eager for attention, she’s a playful spirit who thrives on human interaction. Her enthusiasm for affection is the best part of her loving nature. This social butterfly loves other dogs and would be the perfect playmate for a canine companion. While we haven’t tested her with cats indoors, she’s shown no interest in chasing the stray cats in her foster neighborhood down south. Tillie hasn’t had the chance to live with children, so we’re looking for a home without toddlers to ensure everyone’s comfort.  If you're ready to add a lively, affectionate, and beautiful dog to your family, Tillie is waiting to meet you! We’d love to see this girl finally make her way north. As fosters, we will supply everything you need. In order for Tillie to get one step closer to finding her furever family, she will need a foster commitment in PA for a minimum of at least two weeks or a foster to adopt scenario. Should you be interested in Tillie, contact us at: Email: mostlymuttz@gmail.comWebsite: www.mostlymuttz.org #fosteringsaveslives #fostertoadopt #fostertoforever #mostlymuttzrescue #loveshard #seekingpafoster #GorgeousBeauty Note: Tillie is being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is curable and cannot be transferred to other pets or humans. ##1838155##
