Labrador Retriever Mix 1 year old Male 42 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No Toby or Not Toby, that is the question—and the answer is Toby, of course! I mean, look at me! This smile can light up a room. My heart is as soft and shiny as this stunning coat of fur I wear upon my back. I’ll share my love with other dogs, but no cats, please. I will even enjoy the company of respectful older children 10+ who understand how to be very patient and understanding. Truth is, I’ll take all the love and affection I can get, but I want to feel safe! I’m still a pup and although I have had lots of training, like crate training and housetraining basic commands I want to find a family who will give me the time, guidance and structure I need to blossom into the best boy I can be. So, there you have it, all the answers you could need. It’s Toby of course! My adoption fee is $240 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Story
Hello! My name is Rimo, or at least that is what they are calling me. They say I am mellow yet fun loving, love to play with other dogs but also like my alone time. The vet says I am about one year old. I have been living with my foster parents (I found them in Guerrero Negro in Baja Mexico!) in their van and we go on beach walks and walks in the desert. I like running free, but I do not mind being on a leash. I sit for them to put on the leash, I try not to pull but I still have a bit to learn still. I stay really close to them when I am free and even when I wander off a bit, I know exactly where they are at all times and never go far. I am working on my immediate recall. I like being in the van and I do not mind when we go for long drives or move camp. I do like sitting somewhere in the car where I can see out the window and always end up falling asleep. I love spending my days outside moving from the sun to the shade and back to the sun. There are a lot of different dogs that come by to say hi and I let them come into the van and even steal my bones. Sometimes my foster parents give them treats. I am fine with that too as long as I get one. We are in a house now. I think this is the first time I have been in a house. Hmmmm, I kind of like it! Now I have 5 comfortable chairs and couches to choose from to sleep and rest on. This house has a very old dog and a cat in it. I find them interesting but I know not to play with them and respect their space. Did I tell you I am totally potty trained? I surprised my foster parents the other day and barked while playing with another dog on the beach. That is really the only time I bark, when I get really excited having fun with other dogs. I think I would do well in a home with or without other dogs. Maybe an older dog will teach me what I need to know. I would love to go to dog parks or have play time with other dogs. I would do really well with a fenced in yard or in a place without too much traffic so I could run loose. As I said, I will need some training but, I will give a lot of love and I am very handsome, or so I'm told.

Story
**Fostered in Tacoma, WA, and ready for meet & greets!** 🐾 Meet Kawasaki! 🐾 Meet Kawasaki, a handsome boy who will fill your life with joy and excitement! Making his way to you, this cute Lab mix pup is on track to be a large companion, potentially reaching over 80 lbs as he grows into his paws—though, as with all things in rescue, that's just an educated guess! Kawasaki is doing wonderfully in his current foster home, where he's made friends with a pack of three dogs. He's crate-trained and house trained. He's even started to communicate when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door and whining, showing just how smart he is by also mastering bell training. Playful, sweet, and endlessly curious, Kawasaki is sure to bring you lots of joy. His treat motivation makes continued training a breeze. He's currently living with two teenage boys and fits right in, acting like just one of the guys. Plus, he's excellent in the car, making him the ideal companion for errand runs and road trips. Since Kawasaki is still a young pup, he needs a family ready to commit to his training and socialization. Adoptive families should be ready to help him perfect his leash skills, making him a fantastic partner for neighborhood walks and scenic hikes. Get ready for a life filled with affection, as Kawasaki will repay your love and dedication with lots of kisses and loyal companionship. Kawasaki might be your perfect match if you're looking for a big hunk of love to add to your family! 🐶❤️ Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/656e15bedf9fe6a8b503a29f Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Jayce is ready for a life of porch-sitting and sweet, lazy morning snuggles in bed. Jayce is a dog people fall in love with, and fall in love hard. He has the personality of an old friend- funny, familiar and easy to spend hours with. Jayce has a very expressive face that makes him easy to connect with, he’s one of those dogs that just immediately feels like a member of the family. His foster mom says one of his best qualities is how devoted to his people, and we say one of his best qualities is how devoted his people become to him. He’s so incredibly engaged and present with his humans, so lovable and full of personality. Jayce embodies love and loyalty, if you’re looking for a best friend, he’s your guy. Jayce is the ultimate companion dog, he’s affectionate with his family, communicative and expressive, funny and silly, an avid fetch player and such a smart boy. We believe Jayce is a Labrador, American Pit Bull Terrier mix, but he is a rescue, so his exact age and breed cannot be guaranteed. He currently tips the scales at a soft and snuggly 80 pounds, fully grown at an estimated 3 years old. Despite how loving he is with his people, Jayce promises to never pull your arm off looking for love from a stranger. He’s very “human” about his interpersonal relationships, he knows how weird it would be for a human to kiss their neighbor on the mouth, so he acts accordingly. Jayce will take a moment to get to know you before professing his love, but… psst- don’t tell him we told you this- Jayce’s heart is easily won with Pupperoni, and gentle soft voices. He bonds with his people through training and leash walking as well, making further training not only enjoyable and practically rewarding, but incredibly emotionally rewarding too. With other dogs, Jayce is similarly “human” in his interactions. He prefers to get to know them a bit before becoming his silliest and most playful self. In his foster home, he enjoys the company of two larger male dogs, he gets along well with them and even snuggles with them on the couch. Jayce is also an incredibly intelligent dog. He knows how to auto-sit for treats, he knows how to “puppy-dog-eye” his way into all night snuggles. He responds so well to positive reinforcement, and we believe you could do just about anything with this dog because of it. Want a “hobby dog” to teach off-leash skills, agility or party tricks? Jayce would love to learn, and he’ll love you all the more for it. Unlike most highly-trainable dogs, Jayce’s intellect does not come with high energy. He has a wonderfully balanced energy that allows him to be content just calmly hanging out. Jayce can be very lively and playful at times but also a calm cuddle bug that just wants to lay on the couch with you watching movies all day. He loves being near his people and his foster parents occasionally let him sleep in bed with them. On the nights that he does get to sleep with them, he likes to snuggle right up with you, rest his head on your pillow and look up at you until he falls asleep. Jayce loves to be outdoors as well. If you find yourself in the garage tinkering often, Jayce would love to watch you work. Jayce is still working on his leash manners, but with polishing and practice, he would make an excellent hiking or walking companion. He has the confidence for the most treacherous hikes, a vital skill for a hiking companion, and he never tires of being outdoors. A testament to Jayce’s confidence: fireworks don’t faze him! His foster dad was so impressed with us that he let us know after their Fourth of July together. He loves water too, he gets so excited for the doggy pool. We could see this handsome fella enjoying lake house life, or long weekend campouts on the river. Jayce is an easy to love dog. He has great house manners, his foster reports that he’s potty trained, and he’s very respectful of furniture. He is a bit more introverted than most, and would love to live in a quiet home. Jayce’s ideal pawrents are child-free, and lead a quiet and simple life, with gratitude for the small moments of joy, like belly-rub-time and slow walks around the neighborhood. We believe Jayce would prefer a home in a suburban or rural area, a house over an apartment. Jayce would be happiest in a home with no kitties, and no pushy, persistently playful dogs. Jayce could live with mellow dogs that understand his balanced energy level. We recommend slow introductions and lots of decompression time for Jayce, but he comes well-equipped with excellent crate skills to support these needs. Jayce is ready to come home to you. He’s worth every bit of slowness, mindfulness and attention he will require in your first weeks together, he will surely repay you with lifelong loyalty and friendship. We are willing to test Jayce with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you. We can make most anything happen, just let us know. His adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below, would be more than happy to answer any specific questions you may have about Jayce. Alayna, a director at 3LP, has kindly placed her phone number at the below as well, if you would like to chat over the phone! Story
This infectiously happy guy is named Mack! Mack is the life of the party- a friend to all, and a force of positivity and hilarity. He’s a great adventure dog, a snugglebug, kid-friendly, and dog-friendly! We think Mack is a Lab, Pittie mix, just under two years old. He is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses! Mack currently weighs in at a highly huggable 55 pounds. Fall in love with Mack here: https://youtu.be/58WAwcmbLjI?si=wG3cbqwU87-1g1u4 Mack is great with kids, and kids are great with Mack! Mack has a childlike wonder for the world, and it feels like kids see that in him. He’s best friends with a two year old and a four year old, and watching them interact is truly heartwarming. Mack was born to be a family dog, and he’s so ready to meet his forever family. Mack is a total socialite, he does great with humans in any environment. His foster family regularly takes him out and about, and he does really well in public! He’s easy in the car, great on leash, and friendly with everyone that he meets- a total “go anywhere dog.” Mack is currently fostered in a home with two other dogs, he gets along well with both! Mack is small dog friendly, too. Mack’s playstyle is very “life of the party,” so we think he would do best in a home with another rambunctious player, that won’t mind a game of chase, or romping around the yard together. Mack’s energy level generally can be described as medium to high energy, he has an exuberance for life and a natural optimism that will fill even your gloomiest days with laughter and excitement. Mack also enjoys his playtime with us humans, he loves to play with toys, and he’s a great fetch player! With all of that love for life, Mack also has a great ability to learn. He knows a handful of commands already, and he’s very food motivated. He will be an enjoyable and rewarding dog to train further! Mack’s foster family brags that this smart boy is already crate and potty trained, he picked it up quickly. He had great house manners too! He loves treats, and adores his Kong. Mack is a fun-loving guy, but he knows when to chill too. He absolutely loves a good couch snuggle, and he soaks up attention with so much gratitude. This sweet boy is ready to adore, and be adored by you. Mack’s ideal home has a backyard for him to zoom in, maybe another doggy sibling or two, and dog savvy kids, that will know how to play with his big, goofy pittie energy. Mack does request that we not force him to live with any kitties! We think Mack would make an excellent family dog, but we do recommend kids ten and up for him. We are willing to test Mack with anything you may need to ensure that he is a perfect fit for your family, home and life. We can make most anything happen. Just let us know! Story
Meet Mr. Social Butterfly, aka Radish. He is super curious, playful, very social, and friendly. He's good on walks and doesn't pull much except when he wants to say hi to other dogs and people. Radish was born around August 2021. He weighs about 98 lbs and has a gorgeous white coat with tan, yellow and fawn color markings. His canine DNA test results were Great Pyrenees, mix with Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd.  Radish is very loving, cuddly, and loves belly rubs. He enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes and gets along with cats. He's intelligent, attentive, eager to learn new tricks, and commands and picks them up very quickly. His favorite toy is a stuffed dinosaur, and he loves the water. He doesn't love the crate but does relatively well in it.  ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 64.3 Age: 12yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
MEET HOLT! Holt is an almost 2-year-old Black Lab mix (possibly part pit), in need of a foster or forever home. He is a good, happy boy who is full of life, and still a puppy at heart. He is dog friendly, people friendly and affectionate! He is loyal, gentle and smart! While he loves companionship, he also can be independent and dignified. Holt needs an active person or people as he's quite athletic and will benefit from regular exercise, like walks, hikes or runs. He pulls a bit on a leash but is easily corrected. He is a sweet boy, and weighs between 60 and 70 lbs approximately. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M CHARM! I'm a sweet and playful 1-year-old Lab-Boxer mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, and originally came from a hoarding case. I'm a happy girl who loves people and other dogs. I weigh only about 50 lbs and would make a great dog for an active single person, a couple or a family with older kids. I would do well with another dog in the home. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Bluey! She is currently 8 weeks old, and we think she may be a German Pointer/Pit Bull mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Bluey's video here: Bluey is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with all of her siblings and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Bluey is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67ab62061483de10a5079bcf Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
