Story
Gauge was rescued from a home where he was going to be put down. He is great with children. He is house broken but can tend to have accidents once in a while. Gauge is terrified of loud bangs, fireworks, gunfire, etc. gauge does experience anxiety. He sleeps through the night. We took on another dog who is aggressive towards him. This was a recent issue since we received the other dog over a year ago. The decision was made to find gauge a new home where he can be loved and have plenty of time outside. He is desperate for more activity. I am worried one of my children will get in the middle of a scuffle and get hurt. He is a loyal dog and does not attempt to run away.

Story
Meet Cyrus! Cyrus is a 6 year old, male/neutered, Labrador Retriever! He is 83 pounds.Cyrus is participating in our Adopt From Home program, so if you would like to meet him, please reach out to Rose at (208) 984-0057.Here is what his owner has to say about him! `If you want a large cuddle bug, Cyrus is your guy! This 6 year old English Lab currently lives in a home with 4 adults, 2 children (10&7), along with 2 other labs, and 2 cats. Not going to lie, sometimes he likes to chase the cats ‘for fun’ (scare them for fun). In the ‘pack’ he’s the Beta. He will not fight the other dogs to save his life. That’s how much of a lover he is.He is leash trained and does best on a short leash. He will sometimes need gentle reminders to stay RIGHT next to you but, with a good handler, he’s great! He’s potty trained, and has only had one accident in our home from our negligence. He likes to go for walks, camp, swim, and just chill. He knows how to fetch, and frisbee, but doesn’t like to play for long periods of time. Several small intervals are good. Jogging is also a fun activity as well. He just likes company and be shown affection! He also loves to burry his head in between owners legs when he is extremely happy, and wants to be loved on.Okay okay okay, enough of the good stuff! What are his bad habits you ask?! Well, okay here goes. He has a pretty deep loud bark, and can constantly bark if he’s in an uncomfortable situation. He will need reassurance from owner that everything is ok, and then he will let it go. He sometimes can shy away from new dogs and coward. And also….. he’s full of ‘Magic Fairy Dust’. He loves to leave a trail of ‘Fairy Dust’ if he’s not brushed frequently. (I personally have a hard time keeping up with it sometimes!) He also eats out of a special food bowl so he doesn’t scarf the food down and chock! But, he’s a lab! What do you expect?!I would not recommend he be placed in a home with free range chickens as, he will chase and eat them. (That’s also his other dirty little secret!) Overall he’s an amazing dog, very mellow, and over all a sweet heart. Our family is extremely heartbroken to see him go, but other life obstacles have come our way.Thank you for reading Cyrus’s bio!`
