Story
Bella is a beautiful girl that’s true to her name. This girl is an affectionate 26 lbs (we believe she will stay under 35lbs), 10 month old, loving companion. She's happy to be your shadow, going from room to room and not shy about spooning any chance she can get. Bella's days are filled with leisurely napping, playful toy chewing, and observing the world from the comfort of a window. Her true happiness lies in the warmth of human affection and her walks. She is independent and has adapted well to the comforts of her foster home. She is house-trained and understands commands such as sit and off, so there is no need to crate her. Her intelligence and eagerness to please make her an easy pet to care for and teach. Bella takes her time meeting new people and dogs but is very well mannered during these meetings. Like many new dogs, socialization classes would be beneficial to both her and her new family so she can become more confident. She likes to assess the situation first and is well-behaved with both two- and four-legged friends. She walks well on a leash, making sniffing stops along the way. Don't miss out on the chance for Bella and her adorable little underbite to be a part of your life Bella is being fostered in East Gwillimbury. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Hi, I am Airbud! I'm very shy with new people at first but when given lots of time to adjust I turn into a big ol' puppy! I would do best in a quiet home with not much going on as I do have anxiety. I am not a fan of kids as they run up to me really fast and try to hug me without my permission and that really scares me! A fenced in back yard would be top tier for a man like me. Someone experienced with shy, nervous dogs as well. In the beginning I do not like to be pet or touched. If you respect my space and allow me to come around on my own time I will eventually show you my super excited happy side. You just need to be patient, just ask my friends at the OSPCA who spent everyday slowly gaining my trust. If you feel I am the companion for you then please come see me! Can't wait! Story
He might not have electric boots or a mohair suit, but our Benny is one of a kind! Benny is an 8 month old neutered male Labrador Retriever mix who came into the shelter as a stray but was never claimed. Benny definitely likes to jet - he will need an active, experienced owner to tire him out and help him be the best Benny that he can be!This high energy boy will need someone with experience in basic training, especially working with him on his leash skills and his tendency to mouth at arms and clothing and to jump up excitedly on people. When working with staff during training sessions, Benny surprised everyone and did very well! Shelter staff think that at some point in his `puppyhood` Benny attended some basic obedience classes, but we unfortunately cannot confirm this! Benny is very food-motivated, and tends to have better focus on commands when there is a reward in it for him (if ever a dog needed a t-shirt with `will work for treats` emblazoned on the back, Benny is THAT dog). Unfortunately, once treats are taken out of the equation, Benny tends to lose focus and `forget` his manners. With additional training, we think that he will learn to be more consistent! Luckily, this boy will provide enough love and laughs in the meantime to make him worth the effort! If you think you can handle the loveable smiling Benny, contact the East Region shelter at 416-338-7539!

Story
Cocoa is a sweet chocolate brown lab mix. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Cocoa is 7 - 8 years old and is so sweet with everyone he meets. Cocoa's owner became ill so that is why he is available. He is a lower energy dog that does like to go for a walk, hang out watching movies, and go for car rides. Our preference is for an adult only home with a fenced in yard, quiet life style, and who wants to spoil this dear boy bewildered over what he could have done wrong. He is house broken and has no anxiety being left alone. We would love to have you meet him so if you live within a couple hours of Toronto and would like more information and an application, please email our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Lucas! A delightful 3-year-old Lab/Shepard mix with a big heart and a loving nature. Once you've earned his trust, he'll be your steadfast companion through thick and thin. Lucas is a sweet soul who is playful yet affectionate. He is neutered, up to date on shots, weighs about 60 pounds and is healthy. Lucas is well-behaved in the home, house-trained and sleeps through the night. He will be a loyal companion to any loving family. Lucas is seeking a home where he can feel safe and secure. He requires slow introductions to dogs and new people, and it is critical that his family help facilitate this for visitors, new people, and new dogs. While Lucas may be hesitant around new faces, he forms deep and lasting bonds with both humans and dogs. He is currently being fostered with two female dogs and doggie daycare has helped him learn to appreciate and socialize with other dogs and humans. He is great with children and has interacted lovingly with children beyond the age of 7. He is not cat tested. Lucas loves his routine and never tires of his favourite leash-free dog park and visiting his dog friends at the local park near his foster mom's home. Lucas has the run of his foster home. He has a dog bed but prefers to snooze and cuddle with his humans on the couch. Lucas is a smart boy who needs enrichment of both his mind and body. Daily time to run in a fenced area and long walks are musts for Lucas. He would do well with a companion dog of equal playfulness and energy as he loves to wrestle and play with his foster sisters. Puzzles, toys, and Nyla bones when at home help his mind busy and tire him out. Lucas walks well on lead and understands basic commands such as sit, wait, "let's go" and "touch". He is very food motivated and this will help with his continued training. If you' live in Canada within 3 hours of Toronto and are ready to open your heart and home to Lucas, please reach out by email at c4ptoronto@gmail.com. We will provide you with an application and information about about our foster to adopt program. Adopt Lucas today and be rewarded with a lifetime of unconditional love and companionship.

Story
Volga is a loving and caring adult female dog. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, weighs about 45 pounds, and is about 6 years old. She is friendly and very people-oriented. She is very loyal to those who care for her and very much enjoys cuddling up to them on the couch. Volga is a very curious dog who is adventurous and very smart. She is very sweet and has lots of love to give, however, due to some unfortunate family matters (not related to her) she finds herself without a home. She gets along with other dogs, children and people and in all likelihood cats too. She loves to go for walks and rides and just be with people. She is craving a furever home. We are determined to find that for her. She deserves all the love and spoiling she can get. If you live in Ontario within 3 hours of Toronto please contact us at c4ptoronto@gmail.com to learn more about her and our foster to adopt program. We would love for you to meet her!
