Story
Patch came to our care as an owner surrender when his family moved West. He's a protective boy over his family and will bark at new people, but give him just a couple of mins and he's a friend for LIFE! He's an active boy who settles in very well, he is both crate trained and house trained. He may knock young children over given his size but he's a GENTLE and KIND "giant" Patch had extremely bad ears upon his arrival, he's been to the vet for his neuter and cleaned at that time. He has just a couple more days of antibiotics and ear drops. We had an allergy test done and it appears the cause of his ears being full of guck and infection was the food, He now eats a diet of grain free kibble and he's healing up very well! He's a handsome fellow with a wonderful temperament.

Story
Bella is truly a one-of-a-kind companion, and her name suits her perfectly. This affectionate girl thrives on human connection, gladly following you from room to room and always eager for a cozy cuddle whenever the opportunity arises. Her days are a delightful mix of leisurely naps, playful toy chewing, and curious explorations in the yard, where every new scent offers her a world to discover. However, nothing brings her more joy than the warmth of your affection and the excitement of outdoor walks. Independently spirited, Bella has seamlessly adapted to the comforts of home. She is house-trained, understands basic commands, and her intelligence shines through in her ability to entertain herself with toys. Quiet and observant, she knows when to alert you if something seems amiss, making her not just a pet but a true partner. Walking with Bella is a charm; she’s well-behaved, enjoys the freedom of off-leash excursions, and always stays attuned to your call. When meeting new people and dogs, Bella takes her time, assessing each situation with care. Once she feels comfortable, her confidence grows, allowing her to make fast friends with both two- and four-legged companions in the neighborhood. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to welcome Bella into your life. She is not just a beautiful soul on the outside but will undoubtedly enrich your life in ways you never imagined. Whether you seek an adventurous playmate or a loyal companion for quiet moments outdoors, Bella is the perfect addition to your family. Open your heart to her, and you won’t regret it! Bella is being fostered in East Gwillimbury. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Hello, I`m Jarvis. I may be a senior, but I`m young at heart. My bark is my way of saying hello, but don`t worry, I`m quite mellow. I can be a bit timid, but once I warm up to you, you`ll see just how friendly and sweet I am. I`m a loyal companion, always ready to lend a paw or a comforting presence. I love nothing more than a good cuddle, and I promise to be the most gentle of companions. I`m looking for a forever home where I can share my love and loyalty. If you`re looking for a sweet, gentle, and loyal friend, I could be the one for you.

Story
Meet Tucker, an eleven-year-old black Labrador Retriever mix who loves treats. This is one very sweet guy who will make a loyal companion. He knows a few basic commands but would benefit from reinforcing them with training. Luckily, he is a willing dog, especially when motivated by food rewards. Do not place with cats or dogs.Tucker has a history of ear infections, which are responding well to treatment. To help alleviate this condition, we have him on a special hypoallergenic food, which he will need to be on for the rest of his life.He is slated for some dental work, which will be completed before he heads to his new home. As a senior dog (6+), Tucker is eligible for our Seniors for Seniors program, which waives the adoption fee to qualified adopters 60+.All dogs and cats adoptied at HSHPE have been vaccinated, microchipped and spay/neutered, and have been treated for internal and external parasites, when needed. Adopters will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ren’s Pets and a pet care booklet from Pet Valu with coupons worth up to $300. Adopters who bring the paperwork from their HSHPE adoption to PetSmart Belleville or Kingston will receive a booklet with coupons worth up to $300.

Story
Meet Zire, a dog with a heart as big as his personality. His sweet and friendly nature makes him an instant favorite among staff and visitors alike. Despite his gentle demeanor, Zire has a streak of independence that shines through in his daily activities. He prefers to explore on his own, making him an ideal companion for those who appreciate a pet with a bit of autonomy. Zire, however, is not a fan of other dogs and would thrive best in a home where he can be the sole canine. He has not been cat-tested, this can be arranged with an approved application. His unique blend of friendliness, gentleness, and independence makes him a truly special pet. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who will offer unconditional love while respecting your space, Zire could be the perfect addition to your home. All animals available for adoption at HSPHE have been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered, and have been treated for internal/external parasites.Adopters will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ren`s Pets and a pet care booklet from Pet Valu with coupons worth up to $300.
