Story
Angus is a big gorgeous Lab mix.  He has grown up here at ARF and can be leary of new people and places.  He needs a calm family with dog experience that can work on getting him out to see the wonders that he has missed growing up in a shelter atmosphere.  He has never shown agression to people.  He is very submissive around other dogs and this can cause dogs to attack him and he will fight back if attacked.  He is sweet at heart and just needs some adventure in his life. Some of our dogs are adopted very quickly.  If you are truly interested in a dog fill out an application ASAP.  If you take the time to email a question someone will already be ahead of you with a completed application.  You can find all the information we have about a particular cat/dog at the link below as well.  Then click the adopt button to fill out an application. Fill out an application at the link below.  Find the dog/cat you are interested in and click the adopt button.  That will take you to an application.  Once approved you will be called for an appointment to meet your possible new family member, or at that time you can meet the other animals as well.  You must include 3 references with phone numbers for you application to be processed.  https://petstablished.com/public/search/shelter/301551 Adoption fee is $150 for all dogs over 6 months old, $200 for large breed puppies under 6 months, $250 for small breed puppies.  All adoptions include, spay/neuter, vaccines, a heartworm test, and a free 1 year membership to our 5 acre ARF Park.  For other dog questions please email ARFdogs74006@gmail.com We do adopt out of state, but the adopter must travel to ARF to meet the dog they are looking to adopt.  They must have an approved application before traveling to meet the dog.  We do allow small dogs that are eligible to fly in the cabin of a plane.  We DO NOT allow dogs to travel in the cargo area of the plane under any circumstances.  Any dog that is adopted can of course go by personal vehicle.  We do not allow dogs to be transported "pony express style" where they are passed from driver to driver.   ##1591350##

Story
Hello there! My name is Poptart and I'm a sweet little girl looking for a family. My story is a sad one. A nice lady saw a man driving me and my siblings around in the back of his pick-up truck...and then, he dumped us all in the wilderness to fend for ourselves! My siblings and I were terrified. The woods were dark and scary. Luckily, the nice lady who saw us get dumped called Beagle Freedom Project right away. Staff at Freedom Fields rushed to find me, and after lots of time and patience, they rescued me and my family! When we first arrived to Freedom Fields, I was shaking in fear. After some loving and lots of treats, my tail has started wagging. I love being pet, and I love other dogs. I'm still pretty scared and getting used to being loved. Freedom Fields staff doesn't think anyone has ever pet or cuddled me before. I can't believe how much I've been missing! I'm looking for a patient family full of love to show me that not all humans will abandon me. Will you take me home? My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. Story
Woof woof! My name is Meadow, and I'm a sweet girl who's so ready for her forever home! I was rescued by the nice folks at Beagle Freedom Project after being dumped as a stray... can you imagine that someone decided abandon a darling girl like me? Despite what I've been through, I'm learning to trust the people around me and adjust to all the love coming my way-something I've never really experienced before. BFP staff believes no one ever cuddled or cared for me in the past, and now I realize just how much I've been missing out on! I get so excited whenever someone approaches me and wants to pet me. I just can't get enough attention. I'm a silly, playful, friendly, and cute girl! I'm looking for a patient, loving family to show me that not all humans will let me down. Could you be the one to take me home? My ideal home has: An active adopter, lots of love! Story
Hi! My name is Memphis and I'm sniffing around for my forever family! I've had a difficult past...the man who was supposed to be taking care of me and my siblings dumped us all alone in the woods to fend for ourselves. We were terrified and had no idea how we were going to survive. Luckily, a nice lady called BFP, who then came to save us. I'm safe now, and I'm starting to learn that humans are my friends. These nice people bring me treats and gentle touches instead of starving me and abandoning me. They tell me that soon, someone will fall in love with me and take me home to join their family. That would make me SO happy! If you are gentle and patient, please consider adopting me. All I need is a kind touch and lots of love. Story
Woof! I'm Iggy, and I'm new here at Freedom Fields. My siblings and I were abandoned in the woods after our previous "owner" left us to fend for ourselves. It was scary, and we had to survive on scraps. Thankfully, a nice lady saw what happened and got BFP involved, and the team at Freedom Fields came to our rescue! I'm still getting used to all the love and care I've never had before, but I'm remarkably sweet despite what I've been through. Since being rescued, my tail has not stopped wagging! I even let the staff hold me. I'm hoping to find a patient, loving family to show me that not all humans are bad. Could that be you? Story
Branson is a wonderful old soul. He would do best in an adult only household. He is house trained. He knows sit, lay down, beddy for his bed, and can stay for prolonged periods with food on his nose. He gets along well with our female dog as long as there are no toys. He is toy possessive and not very good at sharing. He is a couch potato and would love nothing more than to have someone to cuddle with on the couch for the remaining years of his life. He was rescued but thought to be around 10 years old. He is a very loved dog, and it is very hard to give him up but we have a newborn at home and he does not do well sharing his toys. He would love to join you for all the cuddles and pets for his remaining years.
