Meet Lady! She is 6 1/2 and would love to spend her golden years in a home! She is very easygoing and friendly but does take a while to warm up to new people. She is affectionate and intelligent and knows some commands. She is pretty quiet and reserved at the shelter and a loving home would work wonders for her. Lady would do just fine in a home with kids! She gets along with some dogs and not others, but needs a home without cats!Age: 6 1/2Housebroken: UnknownActivity Level: MediumKids: YesDogs: PickyCats: NoTraining Needs: LowLeash Trained: YesIdeal Home: Kids to look after, relatively active, adopter who is home a lotPersonality: Friendly, playful, affectionate, quietMore information? Story
Meet Lizzy - our longest term resident! Lizzy is a beautiful dog. She does a cute little happy dance when you walk by her kennel. She wiggles and toes taps and puts on a big smile. Lizzy is around eight years old. She came to us as a stray and we don’t have any background info on her, but she seems perfectly happy and easygoing and is SO ready to find a home. Lizzy is getting overwhelmed with kennel life and living with so many other dogs, and will need a meet and greet with any dogs in the home. She gets fixated on cats and will need a home without them. Lizzy seems to enjoy kids and we think she would do just fine in a home with children. Lizzy has lost out on a year of her life and deserves a future.

Story
Say hi to Nick! Nick is one of our “longterm residents”, meaning he has been waiting for a home for six months or longer. Nick would make an outstanding companion for somebody willing to work with him a little bit. Nick is obsessed with moving vehicles, and will chase after them. We wouldn’t be surprised if somebody dumped him out of a moving vehicle, or if he took off after one and never found his way back home, as he was picked up as a stray. We think Nick is 1 1/2 - 2 years old. He is a perfect medium size, and although he weighs 50 lbs, he’s compact and fits in our small dog kennels. Nick loves attention and crawling into your lap and getting as close to you as possible. He seems genuine and kindhearted, and it’s difficult to see such a nice dog waste his life in a kennel. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Nick, please let us know! Any kids or dogs in the home will need to come meet him. We can cat test if needed.

Story
Meet Tripp! Tripp is available for adoption! He was caught in a live trap and his owners never came to retrieve him. Tripp has been friendly and comfortable around everyone he has met at the pound. He is a large dog and needs an adopter who is comfortable with his size. Tripp is two years old and we are thinking he is a lab mixed with something larger due to his size - he weighs 88 pounds. If you’re interested in meeting Tripp, let us know! Any kids or dogs in the home must come in to meet him. He seems to like cats!

Story
Sunny is a black lab mix puppy, estimated around six months old. He was found as a stray, and has found a lovely foster home to hang out in until he gets adopted! Sunny is in a home with a small child, cats, and other dogs and does very well with all three! The kids in the home have been calling him Romeo, and he responds! His foster family says: “He doesn’t bother my cat at all. Doesn’t chase him or anything. He’s such a good boy. He does chew stuff but he’s been doing good with redirecting. He now has no accidents in the house after a full day of letting him outside every 20 mins.”
