"SUGAR" # 6659 is a 1year old, 55 lb female (will need to be spayed) Labrador Retriever Mix. She is a gentle genial lady that loves belly scratches. She can be a bit jumpy because she is so excited around her humans. Sugar also gets along with other dogs here in our shelter. Vet Exam was good, but her coat may need a little TLC due to slight dander, it appears that she may have over done fun time and sprained her right front leg. Story
I originally adopted Ace from the Cleveland APL due to leaving the job I had there and not wanting him to end up getting deemed unadoptable due to the kennel life not being what he needs. He is 3 years old, would do best with female dogs as he does have some dominance issues with other males, he does have some barrier reactivity with new people but gets better over time. Is good in his crate as long as he has something to chew on and entertain himself, he needs a slow feeder as he eats very fast. I am going to get him retested for heart worm march 30th as he tested positive when I first adopted him and he finished all his treatments. He needs a yard with a high fence as he is an escape artist and can jump decently high. He also needs someone with patience willing to work with him and continue training.

Meet Petunia, an easygoing, moderately energetic lab mix, aged between 3 and 5 years. With her sleek black coat and expressive “puppy dog” eyes, she’s sublimely sweet and supremely smart. Thriving on the constant companionship of her foster family, Petunia puts the “l” into loving and loyal, and loves nothing more than being by her people’s side. Famously fond of butt scratches and snuggles, she also loves walks, gets along well with her 3 doggy foster friends and does equally well with children. Clearly someone’s pet at one time, Petunia found herself abandoned in West Virginia and is now located in Michigan. Despite having a cleft lip, which only adds to her appeal, it neither limits her ability to eat dry dog food and drink perfectly well nor stifles her spirit for living life to the fullest. Preferring a home without cats, Petunia is fully housetrained, knows how to use a doggy door, and will bloom in a forever home that loves loving as much as she does. Great with kids. No cats. Can be with another dog if male.   No small dogs. Beyond lovable, loves to play with her toys and play fetch with the “chuck it”. Sophie loves car rides and pup cups from Starbucks.   Sophie would do best with a patient owner that would spend time and teach her some commands.  She is nervous at 1st with new people but after a few minutes she won't leave you alone without kisses.
