Story
Can we just stop for a second and talk about the undeniable cuteness of this little girl!!!!!! She's approx 8 weeks old and full or personality. She's in a foster home in Memphis Tn with Michele and many other dogs and lots of comings and goings so she's very well socialized and confident . She is kennel trained and enjoys the company of her siblings, learning to house train with the help of pee pads and she's also learning all about the doggy door. Wonderful with children, a very gentle and puppy like personality! We use a transport company called Rescue Vet Transport to get our pets from Memphis to the northeast! They travel each and every weekend delivering our adopted pets to the northeast . Transport fee is an additional $185. If you would like to make Greta a part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Meet Serena! Gender: Female Age: 1 year Current Weight: 40lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Lab mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Serena lives with another dog and they get along swimmingly, however slow intros are required. Not your thing? No worries!  Serena is happy to be the solo pup.  Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: Currently lives in an apartment but would do better in a house Physical Fence Requirement: Fence with visual privacy, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Serena is looking for a forever home with a stable cast of characters, just like from her favorite TV show, Parks and Rec.  She's dog-reactive but currently cohabiting with another dog, showing that she can adapt with the right guidance. Serena is a bit nervous around new people, so a home with familiar faces is ideal to help her feel secure and comfortable. Adopt Serena, and you'll have your very own "Lil' Sebastian" to brighten your days!  And we mean lil', she is a tiny 40 pounds.  If you work from home, Serena is the perfect companion. She'll happily nap under your desk, waiting for playtime and fun breaks. Serena is a quick learner, treat-motivated, and loves to show off her skills whether it is performing tricks or solving puzzles.  Likes: Serena loves to play fetch. Much like her namesake (the OG Serena), she supports women's sports, whether she is playing them or watching them with you on the couch.  She is just happy to have you as her teammate.  Dislikes: Cats are terrible in her expert opinion. Just let us know if you want to see her credentials and full details of her scientific study.  What makes this dog special: Serena is such a loving and funny girl. From awkward sleeping positions to her array of hilarious vocals, this delightful girl knows how to communicate love and joy. Scoop her up before the competition! Serena's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Serena, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved.   Thanks to Emma Mortellaro, (614) Media Group, for providing some of the photos.  ##1720305##

Story
Name: Max Gender: Male Age: 3 years Current Weight: 80lbs Expected Adult Size: Large (50-100 lbs) Breed: Lab Mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog Cat Friendly: Selective Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 12 years old or older Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: A home with another large playful dog.  Someone who wants a lap dog (despite his size).  He does well on a leash and loves to go for walks, but he is strong so someone sturdy. Likes: Loves toys- fluffy and bones! Loves to cuddle with you/be pet, loves to be outside, play with other dogs Dislikes: Doesn’t love getting in his crate so he needs encouragement in the form of treats of a push What makes this dog special: He plays hard, loves hard, sleeps hard, repeat. Max's previous owner was evicted and he was left behind and ended up at a shelter where he had the opportunity to donate life saving blood to a dog suspected to be poisoned. Max saved her life and now that dog is adopted! Despite his heroism, he sat in an outdoor kennel at the shelter being overlooked, so he came to RO. He was Lyme positive and is finishing up meds for that. He has spent the last several weeks decompressing and re-learning how to be a dog. He passed daycare and wanted to make friends with everybody!  Max's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##2128811##

Story
Gucci is a lab/boxer mix, he is approx 6 months old and 22 lbs, he will probably be in the 40 to 50 lb range when fully grown. He is one of a litter of puppies rescued from a known dumping ground in Houston TX. Gucci is a typical puppy, he loves to run and play in the yard. Gucci gets along with the other rescue dogs. He is not yet fully house or leash/harness trained, but he is very smart and learns very quickly. He is a little on the shy side with people but will always run up for a treat! Gucci is a very handsome boy with beautiful markings and he has a very nice disposition. He will be a great family dog and companion. He would be a great dog for hiking or the dog park. Gucci must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and he must have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Gucci is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Gucci's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Columbus, Akron, or Cinncinnati OH. Gucci is with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please email kathy@houstonshaggydogrescue.org if you are interested in adopting this good boy. Story
Peanut PeteMaleAge: 2-3 yearsWeight: 52lbsBreed: Terrier/Lab Mix Hey there, I'm Peanut Pete. I am a sassy and spunky boy who is house trained and crate trained. I get along great with kids, but I'm just not really interested in them. I am dog friendly with slow and proper introductions and time to decompress and I should be good around cats too. I am great on leash for walks with my foster mom. I love going on walks, car rides, and playing with my foster brother. He has taught me so much about how to be a dog. I think a fur sibling and a fenced in yard would be amazing but not necessary. I pretty much love nothing more than to give hugs and kisses. I'm just looking for someone to share my love with. If you are looking for a dog who is sweet and smart and an extra great cuddler, I am your guy and I cannot wait to find a family all my own who will provide me all the love I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Pete, apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5 years old or older.  ##1912007##

Story
CocoFemaleAge: 11 monthsWeight: 35 lbsBreed: Lab Mix Hi! I’m Coco! I am an active and smart girl who gets along with other dogs as well as kids. I have not been around cats yet to know how I would do with them. I am house trained, crate trained and walk well on a leash too. My favorite snacks are meat flavored ones and I enjoy playing tug with other dogs, visits to the pet store and playing chase with other my foster fur siblings. At the end of the day when I am all tuckered out, I enjoy a good cuddle session as well. I already know commands like: “sit”, “crate” and “leave it”. I would love another dog to play with or an active family who will help me get all my young energy out. I am so excited to find my own family who will provide me all the love and attention and activity that I deserve and who will help along the way as I learn and grow! If you are interested in meeting this smart and cuddly girl, apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $395. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5+ ##2132598##
