Sweet Ginger is being returned to us after being in a home about 5 months. They loved her and are heartbroken but Ginger has high prey drive for free roaming chickens. That being said she must have a secure fenced in yard, a privacy fence is preferred or at least one that is 5 ft high. She seems to be fine with other dogs after a proper introduction including small ones. Ginger could also flourish as an only dog as she loves her people. She has not been around cats so we are unsure but based on her prey drive a home without cats would be best. Children should be older and respectful. Ginger is about 8 years old and 50 lbs, a nice manageable size. She is fully vetted and had a dental last fall. Ginger is housetrained and loves to ride in the car. She can be left with the run of the house while you are gone without issue. Ginger has the most adorable smile, we think it is adorable. Say hello to Renegade! This distinguished gentleman is a silver fox, at least in his face! This sweet black lab mix is a friendly, goofy boy that would love nothing more than to be your trusting companion and rest his head on your lap from time to time. While we don't know his entire history, Renegade went through some trying times recently, and we've observed that many everyday activities in the outside world seem foreign and frightening to him. Walking on a leash is one of these activities, and because of his high risk for flight, it is preferred that his forever home have a fenced in yard to satisfy his activity needs. Renegade seems slightly wary of new people, but quickly warms up with a wagging tail, especially when you have a treat to offer, which he will take very gently. He is also house- and crate trained, so bringing him home and adjusting to your daily routine will be a breeze. Renegade is dog-friendly but doesn't seem interested in playing around much anymore. He would prefer to play and cuddle with his human friends. He could do well with another dog to follow their lead and gain more confidence but he'd be just fine on his own too. Katie is currently looking for a forever home for her golden years. Katie's owner passed and had nowhere to go. She is currently in a foster home, learning to live, love and trust again. She has done amazing in her foster home. Katie needs structure in her life as she sometimes can have accidents in the home if you don't catch her "outside" cue's. She loves to play! She's not much of a toy play dog but would rather play with her people and get loving! Katie sleeps through the night and does not have any existing medical needs. She would do best as an only dog but seems to do better with smaller, respectable dogs. She has not been cat tested but judging on her reaction to small wildlife, we think cats would be a no. Older kids would suit her best as well. She walks great on a leash and doesn't need a crate when left alone (as long as you don't leave food out as she will try to counter surf to the best of her abilities and usually succeeds!) Katie's hearing is not the best but her vision is still good! She may do well in an apartment but would definitely need to be a first floor apartment ONLY.June 29, 2024, 10:05 am
