CocoFemaleAge: 11 monthsWeight: 35 lbsBreed: Lab Mix Hi! I’m Coco! I am an active and smart girl who gets along with other dogs as well as kids. I have not been around cats yet to know how I would do with them. I am house trained, crate trained and walk well on a leash too. My favorite snacks are meat flavored ones and I enjoy playing tug with other dogs, visits to the pet store and playing chase with other my foster fur siblings. At the end of the day when I am all tuckered out, I enjoy a good cuddle session as well. I already know commands like: “sit”, “crate” and “leave it”. I would love another dog to play with or an active family who will help me get all my young energy out. I am so excited to find my own family who will provide me all the love and attention and activity that I deserve and who will help along the way as I learn and grow! If you are interested in meeting this smart and cuddly girl, apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $395. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5+ ##2132598##

Story
HeroMaleAge: 3 yearsWeight: 65 lbsBreed: Bulldog/Lab Mix Hi there! I’m Hero! I am a fun and friendly 3-year-old pup who loves to run, play, and spend time with my people. I do not know how I would do around kids yet since I haven’t really spent much time with them. And while I’m a sweet and lovable pup, It seems as though I need a little extra help working on sharing my space and belongings with other dogs, but with some patience, training, and understanding, I know I can learn to feel more comfortable and relaxed in those situations. I am house trained, crate trained and I am great on a leash too. Right now, I’m undergoing temporary treatment for heartworm, so I can't run and play as much as I’d like to. But don’t worry, I’m still a happy, upbeat guy, and I’m really good at adjusting to a slower pace! I love cuddling on the sofa, chewing on my favorite bones, and just hanging out with you. I still enjoy walks (though I’m taking it easy), and I’m always ready for some attention or belly rubs. I love to eat dried liver treats and peanut butter and my favorite toy is Davey the Dragon and I like things that squeak as well. I’m super friendly and love being around people, so I’d be more than happy to keep you company and brighten your day! I may not be as active as I would like to be just yet, but I’m still ready to enjoy life with you—at a slightly slower pace! If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate young guy who can’t wait to be your cuddle buddy, Apply to adopt Hero at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5+ ##2188352##

Story
Finn is 2 years old and the biggest snuggler! He will absolutely invade your space to get a good cuddle session in. He walks wonderful on the leash, comes when called, and is crate and house trained. His favorite snack is peanut butter and his favorite toy is anything giraffe shaped. He is perfect for a home with cats, but does not do well with other dogs in the house. Outside of the home, he absolutely loves to play with all dogs and has done superb in day care with play time! He loves to watch what you’re doing around the house. He is goofy, silly, and would give his whole life just to play fetch.

Meet Serena! Gender: Female Age: 1 year Current Weight: 40lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Lab mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Serena lives with another dog and they get along swimmingly, however slow intros are required. Not your thing? No worries!  Serena is happy to be the solo pup.  Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: Currently lives in an apartment but would do better in a house Physical Fence Requirement: Fence with visual privacy, any height Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Serena is looking for a forever home with a stable cast of characters, just like from her favorite TV show, Parks and Rec.  She's dog-reactive but currently cohabiting with another dog, showing that she can adapt with the right guidance. Serena is a bit nervous around new people, so a home with familiar faces is ideal to help her feel secure and comfortable. Adopt Serena, and you'll have your very own "Lil' Sebastian" to brighten your days!  And we mean lil', she is a tiny 40 pounds.  If you work from home, Serena is the perfect companion. She'll happily nap under your desk, waiting for playtime and fun breaks. Serena is a quick learner, treat-motivated, and loves to show off her skills whether it is performing tricks or solving puzzles.  Likes: Serena loves to play fetch. Much like her namesake (the OG Serena), she supports women's sports, whether she is playing them or watching them with you on the couch.  She is just happy to have you as her teammate.  Dislikes: Cats are terrible in her expert opinion. Just let us know if you want to see her credentials and full details of her scientific study.  What makes this dog special: Serena is such a loving and funny girl. From awkward sleeping positions to her array of hilarious vocals, this delightful girl knows how to communicate love and joy. Scoop her up before the competition! Serena's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Serena, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved.   Thanks to Emma Mortellaro, (614) Media Group, for providing some of the photos.  ##1720305##

Dog's Name: WillowGender: FemaleCurrent Age: 7 monthsCurrent Age Range: Young Adult (6 months to 1 year)Current Weight: 65 lbsExpected Adult Size: Large (50-100 lbs)Breed: Lab Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: Unknown Kids: Yes, to kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: Yes Fence Requirements: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained: No, and cannot be in a crate Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home: A single person or family that has experience and loves the Lab personality. Loves giving attention and cuddles. Willow is VERY smart and would love to learn new things. Likes: Nylabones, soft toys, snuggles, sleeping, protecting with her barks, PB kongs, walks, car rides, tug-o-war, stealing toys, food/treats, learning new things, eating acorns, running in the snow and eating it! Dislikes:  Curious about the TV and ceiling fans. She has been doing well being alone but does best with another dog with her that she can take the lead from. Willow is a stunning baby moose of a black Lab mix with all the heart & personality to go with her healthy 60 pounds (and counting!). At 7-8 months old, she is potty trained and sleeps through the night, and her desire to learn & please humans is as strong as her legs are long. Her fosters adore her, and believe she is roughly 80% Lab and 20% other large breed... perhaps Newfie. Willow loves to play fetch, chase her foster sis (a trained, mature GSD), hang with other doggos, and cuddles like a pro. She is also pretty independent when it comes to entertaining herself—she can spend hours gnawing at Nylabones or nuzzling plushies.  As a curious pup, she can of course get into things she probably shouldn't, but is easily corrected and redirected. She has medium energy, is kid-friendly, does well on a leash or in a car, and also gets her regular R&R. Loving to a fault, Willow is still working on coping with periodic separation from her humans and politely greeting 4-legged visitors... up until recently, the only social life she knew was on a chain outside with her momma and siblings.  Her fosters think she'd do well with an active, loving family as a solo companion or with another dog or two in the home; ideally with a fenced in yard and owners who are familiar with the Labrador breed. Apply today or reach out to your coordinator to request a meet & greet with this amazing, intelligent, growing girl.  ##2276272##

Story
Jeffrey is a failed service dog. He is almost two years old. He does great with people including kids. He gets along with cats as well. He is very obedient and eager to please. He loves to play fetch, tug and to be outside whenever possible. He walks decently on leash and is extremely food motivated. He is fully housebroken and does great in his crate overnight. Jeffrey is dog selective and DOES NOT like other over excited dogs. He will sometimes resource guard food, toys, bones or other high value items from other dogs. He has never had issues with people. He would do best in a home with no other dogs and is not a dog that would be successful at the dog park.
