Story
I came into the shelter a few months ago with some other dogs that were running around. I was severely emaciated. I had to be on medical hold until I could gain weight. I am now a very active, friendly and social puppy. I love other dogs and love giving kisses.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Chico: Your Loyal, Gentle Companion! Chico’s journey to our shelter may have been a bit of a mystery, but one thing is certain: he’s a one-of-a-kind pup who will capture your heart! While his previous owner thought he was part Pug and Chihuahua, our vet sees hints of Lab, Beagle, or maybe even Husky in him. Whatever his heritage, Chico’s unique look and gentle personality make him truly special. Chico strikes the perfect balance between playfulness and calm. He’s always up for a good play session but knows how to unwind and enjoy a quiet evening by your side. With a sweet, affectionate nature, Chico craves human companionship and would love to be your loyal friend. Since coming to the shelter, Chico was a little unsure, showing a shy and submissive side. But when he settled in, his true, loving personality shone through. Chico arrived with Lyme disease, which has been treated successfully, and he’s now in perfect health, fully vaccinated, and ready to start his new chapter with a forever family. One thing Chico can’t live without? His beloved fluorescent orange toy! This toy is his comfort and is rarely out of his mouth, not even for treats—it’s his little piece of security. Now all he needs is a loving family to make him feel safe and loved. Could you be the one to give Chico the home he’s been dreaming of? Come meet him, and see for yourself what a remarkable friend he could be! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Nova! Nova arrived at our shelter on April 4, 2024. She was adopted for five days but was returned when the farm environment – with its dogs, cats, horses, and chickens – proved too overwhelming.  On a leash, Nova is sweet and gentle, walking like a true professional with impeccable leash manners. Off-leash, however, her strong prey drive can lead to challenges, such as chasing cats up trees. Nova is bossy to other animals; but with us humans, she is an absolute Love Bug! Nova would thrive best in a home without other pets, as she tends to be irritated by dogs and cats. She is a very confident dog, and an owner who can provide fairness & clear guidance on what’s expected will build a strong and positive relationship with her. Nova absolutely loves belly rubs and is eager to please. She’s up to date on rabies, 4DX testing, DHLPP, and Bordetella. While she tested positive for Lyme disease, she has completed a 30-day course of Doxycycline and is ready for her next adventure. Nova weighs approximately 70 pounds.
