Story
Meet Ross! This boy wants all the rubs and pets you can give. He would do best with a family that does not have small children, because he does take his treats very eagerly. He loves his time outside, but is also the velcro dog. He is not generally interested in toys, but he may eventually, when he settles in. He would probably want a home with a more submissive companion dog, or being the only guy works for him too! Ross would love to have a lot of tender loving care, spa and hiking days too, if you are up to it. Could you be his forever family?

Story
Born April 1, 2021.Had them since they were 7 weeks old. Never been separated. Very good with children and cats. Same with dogs depending on how they’re introduced they get excited. They’re very well behaved and sleep in an couple crate at night together. Their appetite is very good. They can sit, shake, lay down. Thor is the light brindle. Loki is the dark brindle. Loki loves chew toys. They both love following whomever they think the master is around. Thor can get a little anxious at times especially around loud noises or when he’s separated from Loki. We lack the space and time to exercise them properly. They are both neutered. Crates, leashes, harness, food/water bowls, toys would be included with them.

Story
Honey is a year and a half old yellow lab mix. She is around 50lbs and is full grown. Her ears are almost like a sharpei type breed ears along with her curly half tail. Her golden eyes will mesmerize you. Honey was found as an abandoned stray with another puppy. She is housebroken, walks great on a leash, and loves to cuddle and give kisses. She loves everyone she meets. Honey knows how to sit and catch a treat. She is looking for a loving home to dote on her unique features and tell her how beautiful she is. Honey is learning how to explore her world around her and has taken an interest in sneaking to play with her toys when her foster family is not looking. Honey will sleep with her person all through the night and enjoys naps by the window. Story
WE MUST TALK ABOUT BRUNO! Bruno is a large lab/hound mixed breed around 75 lbs. He is 3 years old. Bruno was surrendered to a local shelter from a sad situation, but he is ready to put the past behind him and find his forever home. Poor Bruno was the only dog but lived with several cats and came from a hoarding case. He is housebroken, gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. He loves to explore his new surroundings and thinks everything is his toy. He is doing well leash training and loves to be outside walking or playing. Bruno is a strong guy. He needs a fenced in yard or someone who can handle his strength. He needs a family to allow him to continue training and exercises him regularly. Due to Bruno's past, you would think he would have some trust issues with humans, but he loves everyone he meets instead. He wants to show you how much he loves you by tackling you sometimes without meaning to. He's a big goofball and doesn't know his size. In Bruno's heart, soul, and mind, he identifies as a Shitzu. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. If you're interested in adopting Bruno, please visit our website at hsdavie.org/dogs and complete an adoption application.

Story
Meet Daisy: Your New Best Friend! Age: 6 Years Personality: Daisy is a happy girl who absolutely adores cuddling and being around her family. Her favorite activities include snuggling on the couch, going for long walks, and showing off her tricks. She knows how to sit, give paw, and lay down, putting her on the right track for additional training. Behavior: Daisy is leash trained and potty trained, so she’s ready to fit seamlessly into your home. While she is great on the leash, she can get a bit overexcited and reactive when she sees other dogs or small animals while out walking. She’s still learning to stay calm and focused, and we’re working on her training to help her manage her excitement better. While Daisy gets along with people, she would be happiest as the only pet in a household where she can be the center of attention.

Peppa is a happy black lab.Her vet estimated year of birth is 2020.  She has good manners and is a typical fun loving lab! Story
Meet George! George is also known as: - Gentleman George - Georgie Porgie, pudding & pie - Mr. Perfect Because, well, he's pretty perfect. George is a laid-back, quiet, friendly, distinguished gentleman. He's totally housetrained, loves all people (but is not jumpy or pushy about getting attention), and is basically polite in every way. He's easy to walk, gentle taking treats, good for the vet, and totally non-destructive when left home alone. You really couldn't ask for a better dog. Come meet our adoptable dogs on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in the backyard at AARF's new location- 302 Thurston St, W-S. Go to AARFWS.org to view and apply for our AARF dogs. Information about the process is available on our website. Remember that we do not adopt more than a 45-minute radius from our facility in Winston Salem. George is an absolutely perfect office companion. His foster mom works from home, and George keeps her company all day, quietly resting in his dog bed. He just needs love, booty scratches, good food, and a short daily walk to keep him happy. George lives harmoniously with other dogs who are calm and polite like him. He would not appreciate rambunctious roommates. George also lives with older kids, and he's wonderful with them. George would make a wonderful companion for seniors, less active families, or anyone who wants a quiet and loving friend.
