Story
Stormy is a 43 pound Lab/Boxer mix whose name hints at a past she’s bravely weathered—but her happy-go-lucky spirit shines through every day. She gets along wonderfully with her new four-legged friends at Saving Grace and moves gracefully through the crowd, walking with ease and confidence. This sweet girl has a calm, gentle demeanor and happily leans into people for pets and soothing ear rubs. Stormy’s sleek tan coat is beautifully complemented by her adorable white, frosted toes. She rests quietly in her crate and keeps her space neat and tidy, showing just how polite and well-mannered she is. Stormy is hoping her stormy days are behind her and dreams of a forever family where she can finally settle in—and return all the love she’s been saving.

Story
Are you looking for an adorable, floppy-eared sweetheart bursting with silly puppy energy? Meet Ayaka! This black-and-white retriever/lab mix puppy is about 10 pounds of pure joy with plenty of growing to do. Ayaka is playful, curious, and oh-so-charming, bouncing through life with the enthusiasm only a puppy can bring. She’s ready to learn all the things, soak up all the affection, and brighten every day with her goofy grin. If you’re searching for a lovable little companion to grow up with, Ayaka is your girl! *Sleepover feedback: "Hi there, we had a blast with Ayaka. She is a very curious, sweet puppy that loves to cuddle or sleep on top of you. Got along great with an older dog that took a while to warm up to her. She does great in the car, usually sleeping". *Additional feedback: "Ayaka was an absolute joy to have in our home. She is the biggest cuddlebug, full of spunk, and learns quickly. She played very well with our two other dogs and picked up social cues from them such as sitting for treats. She had a blast on several adventures to the park, walking well on a leash, and meeting all kinds of people including children". Recent Weekend Host feedback: "We had a great time with Ayaka this weekend! She is a great little puppy with the sweetest disposition. She loves snuggling on the couch under a blanket way better than going outside! We took her to the farmers market and a pet supply store and she was calm and very polite. Riding in the car is no problem. She walks pretty well on a leash and is a smart girl that already knows how to sit. She is very food motivated so training will be a breeze. She absolutely loves the puzzle ball and figured it out quickly. Potty training is a work in progress- she had a couple of accidents but does well on a schedule. She was great with the cats- she respects their space and doesn’t have any interest in chasing them. She loved the kids and would make a great puppy for a family!"

Story
Meet Josiah, a handsome tan tripawd Lab mix with a big heart to match his big, goofy personality. This sweet boy is an excellent houseguest—he sleeps through the night, has excellent potty manners when kept on a routine, and does great in his crate. Josiah does fairly well on a leash, but is still working on learning not to pull, as he doesn’t know his own strength. With some practice and guidance, he’ll only improve. A fenced yard has been his main playground, where he happily enjoys his time outdoors. Josiah gets along well with both dogs and cats. When excitement takes over, he sometimes forgets just how big he is, especially around smaller animals—but it’s all part of his lovable, floppy goofball charm. Josiah doesn’t appear to know any formal commands yet, but he’s eager and ready to learn. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, good-natured companion who already has great house manners and plenty of personality, Josiah may be your perfect match. *Sleepover feedback: "Josiah is house broken as I anticipated. He had 0 accidents and was good at letting me know when he needed to go potty. Yayy!! Josiah was still recovering from his surgery so I made sure he did not bump into things and aggravate the site. Josiah was so sweet and he always aimed to please the whole time, He was gentle and full of love/affection. I made sure he got lots of snuggles and treats. Josiah loves people and other dogs as well. I did introduce him to my neighbor's dog and other dogs in the neighborhood but I made sure he didn't play too hard and he did great". *Additional feedback: "Josiah is a well behaved incredibly sweet boy who just wants to be loved. He's very good at getting around - he hardly misses his front left leg at all! He loves sleeping in your lap or running around outside and will make a good companion for someone. We had a great weekend".

Story
(DOB 11/20/2024) Butter Bean (BB) is heartworm positive, but please don't let that stop you from adopting him.  He is a loving boy that deserves a loving home and the rescue will cover his treatment.  For this reason, he is available for adoption within a 1 hour radius of Wake Forest, NC so he can receive the treatent at our partner veterinarian.  We will guide you through the process. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, go-go-go kind of companion, Butter Bean might just be your perfect match. Butter Bean is a young, energetic, and very athletic boy who thrives on activity and connection. He would do best in an active home with a family who enjoys long walks, hikes, or backyard play sessions. Fetch (or chase!) in a securely fenced yard is one of his favorite pastimes, and he’s happiest when he gets both physical exercise and quality time with his people. He’s dog-friendly and would be thrilled to have another playful canine friend in the home. That said, Butter Bean could also shine as an only dog in a work-from-home or stay-at-home setup, as long as he isn’t left alone for long stretches. If he’s your one and only, doggy daycare would be a fantastic outlet for his energy and social side. Butter Bean isn’t a big fan of being crated, but he does tolerate it when needed. He appears to be house-trained as long as he’s shown where to go and kept on a consistent routine. He’s also super food-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved. His leash skills are decent now, and he’s eager to keep learning right alongside you. Butter Bean is the kind of dog who will keep you moving, make you laugh, and fill your days with joy. If you’re ready for an active, affectionate companion who just wants to be part of your world, Butter Bean is ready to meet you. As part of Butter Bean’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Butter Bean, you can fill out an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2611059##

Story
(DOB 10/31/2022) Jazzy (aka JJ for short or Jazzy-Jazz when you’re feelin’ fun!) a stunning blue-gray beauty with soulful, show-stopping eyes and a personality to match. Weimaraner's are often referred to as the “Gray Ghost,” and you will see why; this gorgeous girl turns heads everywhere she goes and is ready to steal hearts just as easily. Jazzy is a wonderfully flexible, easy-to-love pup who would thrive in a variety of homes. While she’s past her puppy stage, don’t be fooled, she still has bursts of joyful puppy energy complete with zoomies that will make you laugh. She balances playtime and downtime beautifully, loving to romp with her humans and doggy friends in a fenced in yard (yes, Jazzy is looking for a home w/a great fenced in yard so no apartments, condos or townhomes), then happily chill on her own when it’s time to relax. A true people dog, Jazzy does great with other dogs and kiddos and would especially enjoy a home that includes fun, active children. She hasn’t met cats yet. She’s house-trained and crate-trained, though her favorite place to snooze is either on her foster’s bed or in her own cozy bed nearby. One of her cutest quirks? She has a beloved personal blankie she likes to gently suck on completely adorable. Jazzy is already working on her leash manners and is eager to keep learning. She also loves car rides and adventures, making her an excellent road-trip companion. A securely fenced yard is a must for this girl so she can run, play, and stretch her long legs. Another playful dog would be amazing, but it’s not required as long as her family is committed to daily walks/jogs, and interactive play. One important note: Jazzy prefers to enjoy her food and treats solo, so separate feeding is required to keep everyone happy and drama-free. Also, this girl is not shy about using her beautiful voice. She is definitely a bit of a talker. If you’re looking for a beautiful, unique, joyful companion who’s equal parts playful, affectionate, and adventurous, Jazzy-Jazz may be your perfect match. She’s ready to make her forever family very, very happy. As part of Jazzy’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Jazzy, you can complete an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2605850##
