Story
Bleu is 6 years old with a very vibrant personality! He loves to cuddle and being outside. My idea home for him would be someone with a fenced in yard so he can run and play until he just can’t anymore. He loves his chew toys and absolutely loves car rides! He will lay in bed with you until you are ready to get up as well! He is good with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats. He can be curious at times but is a great listener. I think anyone that decides to adopt him, will be satisfied with their decision.

Story
I’m Brett, a handsome Labrador Retriever/terrier mix who is looking for my forever fetch partner!I was surrendered to the Humane Society of York County when my previous owner could no longer care for me. My estimated birth date is July 2019, and I'm about 60 pounds.Did I mention that playing fetch is my favorite activity? I love to go on a good hike as well, especially if there’s some water to wade in along the way.I can be nervous meeting new people, but if you give me time to get comfortable and trust you, I bring the cuddles and am an affectionate boy.I’ve been at the shelter too long and need a stable forever home! I’ve had a rough journey and I need a family that will show me love and patience.I’ve enjoyed my field trips with HSYC staff and volunteers, for hikes or pet store shopping, and have shown what a great car rider I am. I love to play with toys, and one of my favorite moves is to back up to my humans and sit on their lap.I would do best in a dog-experienced home that can manage my energy, and I’d prefer to be the only pet.If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
I’m Butler, a spunky labrador retriever mix with a ton of personality. I’m sweet, funny and full of life! I came to the Humane Society of York County as an owner-surrender. I’m about 40 pounds and have typical young-guy exuberance – my estimated birth date is June 2023.I’m working on managing my energy, and because of that, I’m probably not a good fit for a home with small children. I’m good with other dogs that match my size and energy level.I’m growing up in the rescue and need to find my forever home and family! I’m smart and I learn quickly, and I’ve taken training classes at Zoom Room in Fort Mill.I love my playtime and my walks. It’s important for me to have an outlet for my energy, so an active forever home would be ideal. I would do wonderfully with a dog-savvy family that will continue my training! If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
I’m Quin, a handsome chocolate labrador retriever and all-around lovable hunk.I was adopted from the Humane Society of York County in 2021, but I was returned in 2024 when my family’s circumstances changed. I would dearly love a fresh start in a new furever home. I came back to HSYC toting some extra pounds that I’m dropping with the help of my daily walks!I’m a big fellow and my ideal weight will be around 80 pounds. My estimated birth date is December 2016.Getting some daily exercise with my new family will be important for me. I’m an excellent leash walker, but let’s be honest – I also would love couch time! I’m a super-sweet soul and love to lean in for petting from my humans. And a good chest rub is always welcome.I’ve been an only pet for some time, but I would probably do well in a home with other pets who share my laid-back temperament, with a proper introduction.I’m known at HSYC for being a total cuddle bug and I’d love to have a forever person or family to cozy up with!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.
