Story
Name: Harper Lee Estimated Birthday: 02/06/2017 Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix Adoption Fee: $265 Meet Harper Lee, your new bestie. She’s a sweet, people-loving girl. At 10-years-young, she’s ready to write the next great chapter of her life with you. When her previous owner's health declined, Harper Lee was welcomed back into rescue where she's been patiently waiting for the right home to find this rare gem. Harper is a true companion who will be right by your side as you tackle getting dinner on the table. Need a sous chef? She’s ready. This people lover is also an experienced traveler who enjoys car rides and is excited to explore new places and meet new faces. Traveling is a breeze on foot as she’s a skilled leash walker, and she’s also the kind of dog that doesn’t need a fenced yard. Never one to walk away from an opportunity to socialize, Harper Lee loves befriending both dogs and cats. This lab extraordinaire would make a wonderful fit for a variety of families especially with kids. If you are patient and willing to allow her the time and support as she adjusts to crate training, she will thrive. Although she does have a bit of separation anxiety, we believe this can be surmounted with love and consistency. Her mild allergies are easy to manage. Harper Lee has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to give it to. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will follow you everywhere —especially to the kitchen for her sous chef duties-she just might be your perfect match."

Story
Meet Fancy Nancy, lovingly called Fancy! Fancy is a one year old Lab who came to us from a large scale breeding/hoarding case. Over 120 labs were removed from this property, and we were lucky enough to step in for this sweet girl who needed a safe landing place and a real chance at life. Fancy is heartworm negative and fully vetted. She is about 45 pounds fully grown, with a low to the ground, slightly stout build that only adds to her charm! Because of her past, Fancy craves human affection. While she is friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, she would choose her person every single time. She truly just wants to be close to you! Her foster family is working on crate training and helping her through some separation anxiety. Fancy is fully potty trained and non destructive in the home, but she does not enjoy confinement and would thrive with a patient family who is home more often than not and willing to continue her training with kindness and consistency. Fancy has already come so far! Now she just needs someone willing to give her the stability and love she never had!

Story
Opal isn’t just a pretty face—she’s the kind of dog that quietly steals your heart and then makes herself at home in it forever. This young white Lab mix girl, less than a year old, looks like she was painted from a soft morning cloud and built entirely out of love. Everything about her feels easy. Easy to be around, easy to love, easy to imagine as part of a family’s everyday life. She doesn’t demand attention—she naturally becomes the center of it because her joy is so steady, so genuine, and so contagious you can’t help but smile when she’s near. Her world is already wonderfully full, and she fits into all of it like she was made for harmony. In her foster home she shares space effortlessly with cats, dogs of every size, donkeys, horses, and even a potbelly pig. Add in young grandchildren running around, and Opal remains the same steady, happy presence—curious, kind, and completely unbothered by the chaos of life. She’s playful without being overwhelming, affectionate without being demanding, and smart enough to keep growing into whatever her people want to teach her. At around 30 pounds now and likely topping out near 40, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion for just about any home. Opal isn’t complicated. She’s a gift of simplicity, sweetness, and connection. If you’re looking for a dog who will slide right into your life and make everything feel a little softer and brighter, reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. She is fostered in Nashville, TN, with transport available to northeastern states every weekend.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 24, 2026, 1:06 pm

Story
Want to look at this sweet face every day and just melt when he comes to love on you?  Our Sky Boy was born around Christmastime and at almost 4 months he is 25 pounds and headed to become a gentle giant of a boy.  Expected to grow to be 75 pounds this handsome pup with the most beautiful eyeliner that emphasizes his soft eyes, is ready for a family to love and to be loved by in return.  He was recently in a small town Shelter in Tennessee with his mom and sister, Sage.  No one comes to that little shelter very often and after a month or two of living there the staff reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue for help to take them in to some of our foster homes and help them find their place in life.  Easily we found Sky Boy to be humble, gentle, a little shy at first and wonderful with a busy family lifestyle.  He is great with cats, dogs, young children and only a tad shy when first meeting tall adults!  HA!  His tan coat of short fur is soft and so nice to pet.  He has lots of yummy hugs that he wants to give you and all he needs is a little encouragement and confidence building in these puppy months ahead.  He is crate trained and getting the housebreaking rules and system down pat right now.  A fenced yard would be a necessity and definitely a bonus for him to run and play safely to his heart's content.  He is very receptive to training.  Joy and laughter with a lot of extra helpings of love is what Sky Boy promises any lucky family in the future.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in receiving an adoption application or want to ask questions.

Story
Meet Zuri! Our beautiful 4 year old  girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include Husky mix  (55%) and a touch of Lab and Pit mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in the past and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri is still looking for the right and confident owner.  She is in foster care and is totally crate trained and housebroken. She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own . She needs to be an only dog.  This girl is a mature and settled 4years old, 58 pound spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 8 years and above. She has good leash manners and doing well with housebreaking.  Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 24, 2026, 1:06 pm
