Story
Buddy came to us as an owner surrender. He was originally purchased from a breeder. We believe he is a purebred red Labrador retriever. He is fully vetted and six months old. Typical of the breed Buddy does have a lot of energy. He will need an active household to keep up with him and continue his training. Buddy is mostly potty trained and really good in his crate! He has been great with all of the dogs in his foster home.

Story
Gimpy is an incredibly sweet and spirited 11-week-old Lab mix who is ready to bring tons of love and joy into your home! Despite missing his front right leg, this little guy does not let anything slow him down. He is full of energy, loves to play, and is always up for an adventure and he has plenty of heart to make up for what he is missing. Gimpy adores kids, other dogs and even cats, making him the perfect addition to a busy, loving family. His spunky personality shines through and he is always ready to make new friends, no matter how many legs they have! Our veterinary team has given him a clean bill of health and assures us that he will live a long, happy and healthy life. His left leg will be reassessed as he grows, but for now, he is thriving and showing everyone that a little difference doesn’t make a difference when it comes to love and happiness. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate puppy who is ready to fill your home with fun and joy, Gimpy is the perfect match for you!

Carlow is both potty and crate trained, making him an easy companion. While he can be a bit nervous at first, once he warms up, he shows off his playful puppy energy. Carlow is still adjusting to living inside and learning to be a dog. He is also working on learning how to walk on a leash. An understanding and patient adopter is a must. If you’re looking for a laid-back dog without all the work of raising a puppy, Carlow is the perfect fit for you!

Story
Meet one of the most gentle, sweetest souls we’ve ever met...Duke! Duke actually found himself dumped and fending for himself in Rock Hill, SC. Being scared and confused, he avoided people and no one seemed to care. Luckily for Duke, his guardian angel spotted him and made it her goal to befriend him, catch him and get him to safety. Lauren befriended him by regularly showing up where he was hanging out to feed him. Over time she earned his trust and was able to catch him. What a selfless act of dedication and love by Lauren! He found his way to us and has been doing great, learning that he is safe and loved and can actually trust all humans He is a very smart, funny, goofy boy and truly has the sweetest disposition. Duke is a 1 year old, lab/hound mix, about 65 pounds, fully vetted, crate trained, housebroken, walks great on a leash and loves other dogs! He is gentle and loving and would do great in a family with older kids. He is still a bit shy but comes around quickly. We are requiring a fenced yard for him as he loves to run and play. Another dog also required in the home as he is learning so much from his dog buddies. If interested in possibly meeting him, please go to the below link to fill out an application. We just like to know a little about you prior to a meet and greet. https://www.freedomfarmrescue.com/adoption-process-and-application

Story
My name is Charlie... My life began at Randolph county animal shelter. You see Tails of the Unwanted pulled me after being dumped there by my previous owner. I was scared of all things especially the human touch. My foster mom says I've come a long long way in a year. I'll need to have someone that's patient with me and will give me room. You must have another dog... I love them so much and I get confidence and comfort from them. I'm neutered and microchipped. I have all vaccines including my rabies vaccine. I have been heartworm tested and tested negative. I must have a fenced in yard. No electronic fence. I walk great on the leash. If you think I could be the one for you or if you're up for a challenge please apply at www.tailsoftheunwanted.org Love Charlie&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143November 6, 2024, 9:04 am

Story
Meet Deacon, he is a lab mix with a great personality… uh, dog-anality.  He is house trained, crate trained and leash trained.  Deacon can be a jumper and loves to run in his yard, so a 5 ft fenced in yard is a must for this boy.  If you want to see pure joy, watch him when he is playing with toys or gets the zoomies. It goes to a whole new level if the toy has a squeaker, those are his absolute favorite.  He does not like taking a bath, having someone hold his feet, or getting his nails cut.  He's your typical guys guy - not metrosexual at all.  Who needs all that floofy stuff anyway? Deacon is going to do best if he is the only animal or in a home with a non bossy or non grouchy female dog that is spayed.   He is not a fan of all small dogs that are bossy, he likes female non bossy small dogs and some kids, he may chase cats, but he likes them and just wants to play. Deacon may be too high energy for larger dogs.  Deacon was bounced around a bit before he went to his foster home, due to that he can be slow to warm up, but once you are his person - he desires nothing more than to be by your side… and have squeaky toys.  Did I mention he loves squeaky toys? Deacon is still figuring out the world and will need someone who will be patient with him… he can't just be thrown into new situations and expect to thrive.  A good example, is those spooky moving doors at PetSmart.  He doesn't understand them and we'll be honest, they freak him out a little, he is getting better- but he's learning.  Deacon has recently completed 2 weeks of board and train.  Note: The training he received comes with lifetime training touch ups. Once he has settled in, the trainer will provide you with training sessions to help acclimate him to his new home , they also provide group training sessions most Saturdays at local parks.  Deacon weighs approximately 45 lbs and has been neutered and microchiped.  If you think Deacon would make a good addition to your family, fill out an application at lastdaydogs.comNovember 6, 2024, 9:04 am

Story
This handsome bobtailed boy is called Stevie, short for Steve Cropper.  He was found on a very hot and dry August day the first of August and honestly he was near death from lack of food and water.  The asphalt was treacherously hot and his body was not holding up in all the 100+ degree heat.   A kind soul who is in the music industry took him home but honestly could not house him for more than a few days due to heavy travel and being on the road with his music obligations.  Some people told him to do just take him to a shelter (they are full) and lie about him trying to bite a child.  That way they would take him and put him to sleep for safety of the community.  This could not have been the fartherest thing from the truth.  A wonderful foster for Critter Cavalry was contacted and she absolutely jumped at the chance to help Stevie.   No regrets for one minute that she did either.  He is a wonderful  1 year, 50 pound boy that is  Lab/Aussie/Pit mix and possesses the most caring heart and kindest spirit.  He plays with everyone at the doggie daycare and wags that nub of a tail as fast as he can wag it when greeting people.  He is a dog that didn’t deserve to be euthanized when all the options were not exhausted.  We know that this smart and playful boy will be some family’s prized possession and love.  He is housetrained it seems and he is crate trained as well.  He is respectful of other dogs and their space and not once ounce of bad traits exist in this boy.  Step right up and let’s consider Stevie for your family or just you if you are single.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story

Story
Benny- 60 lb, 12  months old, black with white paws, lab/shepard mix    Handsome Benny may look full grown but he's still just a playful, energetic puppy! This boy loves to play and wrestle with other dogs, he requires a fenced in yard where the fence is at least 5 ft high so he can run and explore. He needs a doggie playmate.  He's agile enough to jump a fence should he want to, even though he has not tried at his foster home. He knows commands like come, sit and paw. Benny is a quiet, very friendly pup and great with people. He looks forward to cuddling up on the couch with his family. We think he would do very well in a two dog household as he does get lonely and bored when left alone. Exercise is a must for this boy so an active family would be great for him. He is fully potty trained.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm
