Story
Rusty is a young, male dog with a fun-loving personality. This loyal and funny pup is smart, gentle, and full of love. Rusty is good with other dogs and would love to have a dog his size as a playmate. He loves to run and play with his current dog friend until he's tired. He has excellent house manners and is a well-behaved dog. He is also rewarded with his fav benebone when he goes into his crate quietly. He would prefer a cat-free home, and he would do best in a home without cats. He may be good with kids, but this is yet to be validated. If you're looking for a fun, smart, and affectionate dog, Rusty is the one for you! Please consider adopting him into your home, so you can see for yourself what a wonderful dog he is.

Story
Jovie is an affectionate pup with a heart full of potential and a story of perseverance. Taken into animal control at a very young age, Jovie had to endure extended isolation due to ringworm, which meant she missed out on the socialization that’s so important for puppies. Jovie adores people and is eager to learn, but she’s still figuring out how to trust and interact with other dogs. She would thrive in a calm and understanding home with an experienced adopter who can help her build confidence and navigate the world at her own pace. Jovie has so much love to give and is ready to start the next chapter of her life with someone who sees the wonderful dog she is meant to be.

Story
This is Lou, the six (ish) month old Black Labrador/Shepherd mix. He has had a rough start to his short life here on Earth. He was dumped on the side of a busy highway, along with a littermate a few months ago. The littermate was later hit and killed by a car, and he had been in the same spot since. We have been trying to catch him for three months now and he was finally caught on 4 February 2024. He is a very sweet boy and we have been calling him "Lou" and "Mr. Bubs". He has surprised me so much in the short time I have had him. Lou has not had any accidents in the house, loves cuddles and scritches, and is so gentle with treats. Lou loves kids and loves female dogs. He would do excellent as the only dog, or a buddy to a female dog. If I didn't already have four dogs myself, I would keep him in a heartbeat. He really deserves a loving and warm home, he has definitely earned it. Please reach out if you are interested in adopting Lou. I will transport him anywhere.

Story
Bear is a 4 year old Lab/Husky mix (among other things) he's great to go running with but also loves a good cuddle. He is extremely treat motivated! He knows basic commands (sit, shake, & down) and loves to cuddle with cats, he is selective of his canine companions. He hasn't been around small children in a while, but I have no doubt that he would be a fabulous family dog. Up to date on rabies vaccine & neutered.

Story
Well, I guess it is time for me to finally leave foster care. Although I love it here & am very, very comfortable, my foster mom told me she can not continue to save dogs if I stay & I know I have long lost cousins that still need saving! So I am ready for my forever couch... I mean home! My name is Charlie and I am the longest resident of It Takes A Village Rescue. I take that title very, very seriously but my foster mom says I shouldn't as forever is much better than foster! I am sweet, cuddly & am the perfect boy to start of cozy season with! I love humans... they are so cool! I mean, who doesn't! I need to tell you a couple things that my foster mom says are good boy things... I am house trained & crate trained! I am way better than a puppy who still pottys inside.. that is so last year. Looking for a loyal companion who loves long walks on the beach, netflix and cuddles?! Well, I am your boy! I would love a fenced yard & to be either the only dog in the house or with a submissive female dog... I just want all your attention! That really should not be too much to ask for a handsome boy like me! Right?! Please apply to adopt me, I would love a home for Christmas! Story
Carol's photos do not do her justice, she has the prettiest brindle coat. She was a stray at a shelter with her siblings who at just 4 months were set to be euthanized. We are so happy we took the chance on this shy girl because she has blossomed into a happy loving puppy. She is great with people and dogs. She is doing great on her potty and crate training as well. All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
Jaxx is a lovable lab mix, looking for a loving family. This 9-year-old boy may be getting up in age, but they are still full of personality and charm. Personality: While they may be considered "lazy couch potatoes," Jaxx is incredibly friendly and enjoys spending time with their human companions. They are great with both dogs and cats and have a medium energy level. Lifestyle: Jaxx is house-trained and crate-trained, making them easy to care for. They enjoy being exercised regularly and love playing with their chew bones. Health: Jaxx is neutered, up-to-date on all their shots and vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. They have been tested for heartworms within the last six months, but they are not currently microchipped. Recommendations: Experienced Owners: Due to their age, Jaxx would do best in a home with senior-experienced owners who can provide them with the care and attention they need. Active Lifestyle: While they enjoy lounging around, regular walks and playtime would help them stay healthy and happy. Patient and Loving Home: Jaxx is looking for a patient and loving family who will appreciate their companionship and provide them with a comfortable and secure home. Jaxx would make a great addition to any family. If you're looking for loyal and loving companions, please consider giving this boy a chance.
