Story
Little Binx was found at Oak Hill Dump site in Western Carolina and was transported to us after the devastating hurricane effects hit the area where she was found. She is an incredibly gentle little girl and only weighs 15 pounds. She has been around children, as well as dogs, cats, pigs and chickens and seems to be fine with all of them! We believe she is around 9 months old, so she is likely to stay small. She is very attached to her foster mom and can be quite timid and shy around strangers. Therefore, she will need lots of extra patience and love to help her come out of her shell and show her true playful and cuddly self! She would do best in a stable family with not a ton of people coming in and out. This cuddle bug would love a family of her own!

Story
Jack is a playful, loyal, intelligent companion. He is wonderful with our three young kids (1, 3, 5). He enjoys playing hide and seek, pull toys, walks in the woods, chasing squirrels. Is a 'ok' on a leash but often likes to barks at other dogs. We have two cats that he does well with. Our main issue is that he barks aggressively at non family members. Once the guest is in the home and he's said hello, there are zero issues whatsoever. That said, outside the home, he becomes very defensive and has barked at young children very close to their face which have scared us. Our neighbor took him to a dog park and says a kid ran up to him to pet him and he put his mouth on the kids hand but did not bite. We were not there to witness. He is a great dog, but with our life involving lots of kids, we are worried and hopeful he can find a peaceful home without similar risks.

Story
Hi there! My name is Guinness. I am a medium-sized, energetic and curious fella. I was surrendered to the shelter after my previous home was no longer a good fit for me. I would do best in a home without younger kids and with a family that can help me build my confidence as I can be nervous in new environments. Please make sure introductions to any new people and animals in the home are slow and monitored. I hope to meet you!INSIGHTS FROM MY DOG DAY OUT:`What a good boy!! I heard he was shy but as soon as he got outside he was so happy and friendly, and did a beautiful `sit` to get his first treat without even being asked. He jumped right in the car and loved sticking his nose out to smell. Really well behaved on the ride, too. We did a nice long hike at Blackwood Farm and passed a few men which he was totally fine with. There was a group of kids nearby and he perked up at their laughs. He had his nose to the ground and knew how to walk on trails and follow my lead. He didn`t seem to care about the squirrels at all. When we stopped on a grassy patch he rolled around and let me rub his belly. We went by the Target on Franklin Street to get a pup cupHe was chill with all the passersby. He absolutely loved the pup cup. This guy has great manners, is a love bug, and is really fun!`

Story
My adoption fee has been fully sponsored.Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!I am a beautiful girl with lots of energy and love to give. I enjoy taking walks and runs with my amazing long legs. I`m a good girl but I am young and will need some guidance and general training. I love the people who come to visit me and seem happy to see other dogs too. I will need careful introductions to people, pets, and children as I can get really excited and that can be a bit much for some humans and pets. But I am definitely a lovebug!Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive. OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you`ll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.INSIGHTS FROM MY DOG DAY OUT:`Parrot overnight stay was really good! She appears to be housetrained and knows the command `sit` and will come when I whistle. She has puppy energy still but will sit quietly under table when I eat. She gets easily excited and makes sqeaky barks. She walks when on leash until she sees another dog and gets excited. She calms down after a careful introduction. She is very food motivated and trainable. She likes to play with toys but not much interested in fetch yet. She loves people and and attention but needs to kearn not to jump up on people. She may get overexcited by small children so maybe better for family with older children. Very curious and investigates into everything. She doesn`t like being left alone, so crate training may be beneficial if she has any separation anxiety.` INSIGHTS FROM MY FOSTER VACATION:`Parrot is the sweetest most fun dog, she is so eager to love and please a family. She has a lot of energy that needs release through stimulating walks, play and training. I hung out with Parrot for 5 days and the amount of progress this girl made in such a short time was amazing to witness.Parrot is an awesome dog that just needs some patience, love and attention.

Story
🐶 Quick Facts! • Name: Mamba • Age: 2 years old • Gender: Female • Neutered: Yes • Breed: Labrador mix • Colour: Black • Weight: 22kg 🌱All about me🐕 Hello guys. I’m Mamba. I am a 2 year old Labrador mix girl, looking for my forever home. I am covered in a sleek black coat, which really makes me stand out. I might seem a bit shy at first but give me some time. Once I get to know you, I will let you pet me and rub my belly. By the way, if you have some treats with you, that will make things little easier because I really like to eat! I have not had many adventures in the outside world and loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me. But no worries. I am currently getting my training, and I hope it gets better. With time and patience, I will learn to get less sensitive to noises. During walks, I may pull my leash a bit due to excitement, but I am generally responsive to my human’s guidance. After a good walk, I settle down nicely on a couch or in my crate. Speaking of which, I am a well-behaved girl even inside my crate. I usually get along with other furry friends whether they are about my size or smaller than me. The heart is what really matters! If I find them to be my friends, I will get along well. If someone tries to challenge me, I will step back and walk away. Although I usually get along with other friends, I get little overwhelmed when they become too energetic. Regarding my potty habits, I use both indoors and outdoors. Whether you live in a high-rise or low-rise, you will not need to worry about it as I have got it all covered. Cats? I do not mind them, but I focus on my humans instead. I do not guard my food against humans and other furry friends. Despite my young age, my energy level is not very high, but I still enjoy my outdoor adventures and activities. Visiting a dog park is also a great idea as I can run freely. I may seem to be a bit shy in the beginning. But once my initial shyness fades away, I am confident that I will be a perfect canine friend who will warm your heart with joy and happiness. For details, please reach out to my team and they will be more than happy to assist you! 💛 For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa4UUrmvSDs&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwHBnPF_KsehZgU-TysGeyW

Story
Meet Wraven, a loving, spirited sweetheart! Her favorite activities are playing fetch in a fenced yard and chewing on a peanut butter-filled Kong. If you can throw a tennis ball, you'll have a friend for life in Wraven! Wraven is an intelligent girl who loves to shake hands, and has also mastered Sit, Bed, and Drop It. She sleeps through the night without a peep, and often enjoys slow mornings in her crate. Wraven is always happy to spend time with her people, and she shows her affection with lots of kisses, cuddles, and requests for belly rubs! Wraven has interacted with young children very gently but she is a big girl who needs a family who will provide good supervision around little ones. Although Wraven has cohabitated with two cats, she loves them too much and likes to chase. Wraven is practicing walking calmly on a leash. She greatly wants to meet and play with other dogs she sees! Training and patience will help Wraven become the best walking companion. PHYSICAL Wraven has a silky black coat and warm brown eyes. HEALTH Wraven is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. HISTORY Wraven's previous owner brought her to a local shelter because of financial hardship.

Story
Hi, I'm Franklin! I'm a 5-month-old Lab/Pit mix, currently weighing around 30 pounds, and I can't wait to find my forever family! Since I was about 8 weeks old, I've been in a foster home, and I've made lots of friends-two dogs and two cats! I get along with everyone, and I love stealing toys (don't worry, I don't tear them up!). I'm crate trained and mostly potty trained as long as you take me outside regularly. I know how to sit, and I'm eager to learn even more tricks-I'm a fast learner and super smart! I adore kids and love to play, so I'd fit right in with a family who enjoys having fun. I'm up to date on all my vaccinations, dewormed, and currently on Heartgard and NexGard to keep me healthy. I've got a big heart and lots of energy, so if you're looking for a playful, loving companion, I might be your perfect match! Let's meet soon! Love, Franklin If you are interested in adopting this pet, please email dixied110@gmail.com. Story
Shadow is a playful and sweet boy who loves to run but needs a bit of discipline and training. We are looking to find him a healthy, happy, and an energetic parent. A family that will treat him like a part of their own family and keep him indoors and not chained outside. He loves to eat and hasn’t had too much human or dog interaction but will learn with a good parent. Only reason we are trying to place him in a new home is because we just had a baby and our home is small so it’s really difficult to give him time and proper space also we feel as if we can’t give him what he deserves. We love Shadow and he is a joy to have but ultimately want what’s best for him.

Story
Hello all! This is Doge and he came to us when his previous owners could no longer care for him. Doge is a large sized dog who is looking for a new forever family with an active lifestyle, as he has lots of big boy energy and is very adventurous! Having proper outlets for Doge`s energetic lifestyle is essential. Doge has had a hard time making new dog friends in the past and tends to resource guard his items. Due to this, Doge will need to have slow and monitored introductions with other dogs in the home over a period of time and we recommend feeding him in a crate or a safe space by himself, to lessen his need to guard the food, until proper training has been established. We do not know how Doge is with cats or children, and therefore we recommend slow and monitored introductions with them as well.
