Story
When you picture puppies, you imagine round bellies, wagging tails, and carefree playtime. That’s exactly who these six beautiful Lab mix puppies are — happy, sweet, and full of life. Born at the end of October, this litter includes three boys and three girls in lovely shades of yellow and gold, along with one striking red-chocolate beauty who truly stands out. Their mama is a golden-colored Lab mix who was taken in while pregnant by a kind family that made a safe nest for her to deliver and care for her babies.   These puppies are growing quickly and are expected to be 60 pounds or more as adults, but right now they are still very young and vulnerable. As January’s extreme cold approaches, they need more warmth and comfort than an outdoor kennel and dog house can provide, even though they are currently safe. A temporary foster home would give them the chance to stay warm, grow stronger, and receive the care and socialization that every puppy needs during these early weeks. We are urgently seeking foster homes willing to take two puppies together or a trio for just three weeks. During that time, they will continue their deworming and receive their important parvo and distemper vaccinations. Critter Cavalry Rescue provides all food, supplies, and full support, and our team is hands-on and very experienced with young puppy care and health needs, so fosters are never on their own. If you can offer a warm place in your home and a little time, you can truly make a life-saving difference for these babies. Puppy names are listed on the photos, so please let us know which ones you might be able to help. If you can’t foster, sharing their story could help us reach the right person in time. For more information, please contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com or text 615-661-5333.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 3, 2026, 12:49 pm

Story
Chunky Monkey Sunkiss is a tender-hearted puppy with a soft soul and a future full of promise. Born October 23 to a Lab mix mom and Heeler dad, Sunkiss began life surrounded by her siblings in a quiet country setting where her mom was safely cared for while raising her litter. Now, at 8 weeks old, she’s ready to take her next step — finding a family of her own. Sunkiss is a gentle snuggle girl at heart. While she enjoys playful moments with her siblings and does wonderfully with children, her favorite place is close to her people, soaking up love and reassurance. She has a calm, sweet nature that simply asks for patience, kindness, and guidance as she grows. She’s expected to be around 70 pounds when grown and will be a stunning adult with her pale yellow coat, white socks, and freckled face. Beneath her beauty is a sensitive, intelligent puppy who will thrive with positive training, routine, and trust-building — the kind of dog who bonds deeply and becomes a true family companion. Critter Cavalry Rescue is looking for adopters who understand the commitment of raising a puppy and are excited to invest in her future through walks, play, social experiences, and loving structure. Sunkiss will be ready to go home on January 17. If you feel called to help shape this sweet girl’s life forever, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:04 pm

Story
Meet Beauregard (Beau ) &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Some dogs are born with a purpose, but they never get the chance to discover it until someone believes in them. Beauregard is one of those dogs.   This Lab/Hound mix boy was found abandoned on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Middle Tennessee—hungry, covered in fleas and ticks, scarred from hardship, and too terrified to accept a gentle human touch. He had all but given up on life, surviving only on scraps of food and little more. Beau's story didn’t end there. Caring rescuers saw beyond his broken, skinny body and haunting eyes. With Critter Cavalry Rescue’s help, Beau was trapped, treated by a vet and given the first real chance of a good and loving future in his young life. Less than a year old and painfully thin,  Beau has since grown into a healthy, strong 75-pound boy with a heart that’s slowly learning how to trust and love again.   His foster mom, Cissy, describes his journey best:  “When Beau first arrived, he wouldn’t come out of his doghouse or look at me. But little by little, food, fresh water, and the happy barks of my other dogs began to chip away at his fear. The first time he took a treat from my hand, I knew he was beginning to understand love. Now Beau is part of our pack—he follows me around the farm, plays with the other dogs, and even helps encourage new rescues to run and play, just as others once taught him. He still has moments of fear with new people or the leash, but his confidence grows every single day. Watching him blossom has been nothing short of amazing.”    Beauregard’s scars—both inside and out—are healing, and his purpose is becoming clear that he is going to be a loyal, loving companion. He’s looking for a home with a kind, but confident leader who can continue guiding him on this journey of love and trust.. With patience, consistency, and love, Beau will give back tenfold—his big heart and beautiful soul are simply waiting for the right family to share them with.&#226&#156&#168 Beau is more than a survivor—he’s a testament to resilience, hope, and the healing power of love. Could you be the one to give him the forever home he’s been waiting for?  please email asking for more information or an adoption form to ccrnewengland@gmail.com       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 2, 2025, 1:51 pm

&#226&#156&#168Meet Blair: From Brave Beginnings to Bright Futures” Introducing Blair, a spirited and affectionate pup whose journey is as special as her Fourth of July birthday. Born into hardship but rescued just in time, Blair now has a fresh new start and is ready to leap into a future filled with love, comfort, and joyful adventures. Blair’s mama is a gorgeous Chocolate Lab, and her dad is an Australian Shepherd—but Blair herself is very much her mama’s daughter, with classic Lab looks: sleek black fur, expressive eyes, and a tiny touch of white on her chest. She is fully vetted, spayed, and thriving in her experienced foster home where she’s receiving all the care and nourishment she once lacked. This sweet girl has a big personality—she’s the vocal one of the litter, always eager to announce new discoveries, say hello to visitors, or let you know when something exciting is happening in the yard. Once she understands her surroundings, she settles into quiet observation mode, taking everything in like the smart little lady she is. Blair came from a place where food was scarce and attention even scarcer, so now she treasures every meal, every cuddle, and every moment she’s included. She’s learning the ropes of puppy manners: • Leash training is a work in progress and her crate training is going but she prefers bedtime snuggles over crates.  Housebreaking is doing well with a doggie door to encourage impromptu excursions outside when nature calls.  What Blair needs most is a family who will guide her gently, love her deeply, and help her become the confident, well-mannered companion she’s meant to be. A fenced yard, patient humans, and maybe some children to adore would make her holiday dreams come true. If Blair sounds like your perfect new family member, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. This girl has a heart full of love—and she’s ready to share it with YOU.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 16, 2025, 1:32 pm

Story
This amazing puppy that has the beautiful golden smile and coat of a golden color as well, is called Gabriel.  Living his first 4 months of life in a 10X 10 outdoor kennel with his other 6 siblings, this boy never has had a chance to run and play and be loved on until August 15th.  The day his life changed and that of his 6 siblings, will be a special one for Critter Cavalry Rescue.   Their hard and cruel past is behind them and now a bright and shiny future is promised them as CCR starts posting all the wonderful girls and boys that are from that litter.  They are loving, some shyer than others, but all are hungry to be cuddled, played with and offered the chance to love their humans deeply and forever.   Having a yard to run and play in has been a first ever since 8/15.  Can you imagine the freedom and exhilaration that our boy Gabriel has been feeling?  He has a little foster girl to kiss and play with and other dogs and even some chickens in the backyard.  He has been neutered and shots started and dewormings under way.  The road ahead will be a breeze compared to his first 4 months.  Currently he weighs 25 pounds and is destined to be a 55 pound adult lovebug.  If you love his smile then you will love his heart even more.  Friendly and learning all the new things about this wonderful world of good food, a dog bed, chew toys and above all, humans who care about him.  What more could make a puppy happier?  Well all that is left to top these great changes is to have a family adopt him!!!!   Could that be you!?  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  We adopt locally in Nashville, TN area where he is fostered and we also offer transportation to the northeast to families and homes that want to give our dogs and cats a better life.  Just let us know where you live!  We can get our boy there and close! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 28, 2025, 12:33 pm

Story
Margo is the kind of dog who stops people in their tracks—beautiful, soft, soulful, and radiating that unmistakable Golden Retriever sweetness. She came from a backyard breeder as an 8-week-old puppy, advertised as a Goldendoodle, but as she grew, it became clear that her heart and her heritage lean almost entirely Golden. Born on 2/7/23 and now weighing about 50 pounds, she has matured into a graceful, gentle young girl who wants nothing more than to be loved. Her original family adored her and provided her with a safe, caring home, but unexpected personal challenges arose—difficult ones that prevented them from giving her the consistency, time, and attention she truly deserved. They made the painful, selfless decision to ask for help in finding her a new family, wanting Margo to live her best possible life. And what a gift this girl will be to her new home. Margo is sweetness personified. She is friendly with every dog she meets, respectful and calm around cats, and gentle enough to be trusted with young children. She needs to be in a home of no small dogs - she thinks they are playthings. Her temperament is exactly what people love about Golden Retrievers—steady, affectionate, intuitive, and endlessly kind. She greets new people with a soft smile and happy tail as if welcoming them into her world. Margo is still young and doesn’t have many commands under her belt, but she is a blank slate in the best possible way. She watches her people carefully, eager to understand what’s expected of her, and she responds beautifully to gentle guidance. With patience and routine, she will blossom into a perfectly mannered companion. A fenced yard would be ideal for her—she loves the freedom to run, sniff, and stretch those young, energetic legs. She hasn’t had nearly enough opportunities for outdoor play or structured exercise, so a family who values activity and time outside will help her thrive. After playtime, she’ll settle in beside you with that soft Golden warmth that makes every house feel more like home. Margo is the whole package: beauty, personality, intelligence, and a heart full of love. She is ready for the stability of a forever home where she won’t have to transition again—a place where she can grow up, bond deeply, and be cherished every day. If you’ve been dreaming of a young Golden mix with all the emotional intelligence and gentle spirit the breed is famous for, Margo could truly be your once-in-a-lifetime dog. She is hoping to find her new family just in time for the holiday season. To apply for this beautiful girl, emailccrnewengladn@gmail.com. Margo is ready for her fresh start. &#226&#156&#168PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 6, 2026, 4:28 pm
