Story
Hi…I’m Kyn Kyn, (really McKynlee, but the people here all call me Kyn Kyn) and I just have to get something off of my chest. I’m a 4 year old, 40 lb, female lab mix. I feel a little guilty for complaining because I live with a wonderful foster family in a wonderful home with wonderful dogs. But, I can’t help myself…because as much as I love it here, I know that I can’t be here forever and all I want is to be in a home that I know I can settle into forever. I absolutely ADORE my people and even like to show them this regularly. My foster mom works at the table a lot and I know she just melts with love for me when I come over and rest my head on her leg and look into her eyes…(I’ve overheard her talking about me). This is not a relationship that can last though…she needs the space to be able to foster more dogs so they don’t get killed and I need to be able to feel settled. I’m a love bug to my favorite people, gentle and sweet they say. I’m a real snuggle bunny and like to mold myself into my people to cuddle or lay against a leg or on a foot; it really gives me such a sense of contentment. I’m gonna be honest though…I’m not one of these girls who will instantly love everyone I meet, but I will sniff and check out visitors; it just takes me some time before I am ready for strangers to pet me. You’ll need to be a little patient with me because this change to an adoptive family is not going to be easy for me. In fact, it’s kind of scary even as it is also exciting. I do know that once I’ve spent a little time with an adopter, I will give them all of the same love and melt their hearts as I do everyone who meets me, (especially because I love treats). I hear my foster parents say that it's hard to find a dog who loves as hard as I do.😊 I’m fearful of new people and situations but once settled will romp with other dogs in the yard because it’s real fun. I think one of the problems is that people want me to seamlessly move to a new family and life and it’s just not me, so I don’t “show well.” I need someone who understands who I am and has the patience to let me grow into them as I have my foster family. Since I love attention and treats, it’s not too hard to get me to feel loved…and then I wake up full of joy in the morning and make happy noises for everyone and do prancing zoomies in the yard. I’m gonna give it to you straight…I might just want to be a homebody; and not go out and about too much because I feel scared when I do that. Maybe this will change for me but I’m not sure. Since new things make me nervous, maybe I shouldn’t be with young children and would do better with 12 year olds and up…they’re not as unpredictable as those little human children can be. (I hope this doesn’t insult any of you humans). I’ve heard them call me an “angel” which makes me feel happy inside. I try to do the right thing so I’m crate, house, and leash trained and know basic commands. They’ve told me what a fast learner I am too. Well, I gotta run now….I hear my foster mom coming and she prefers when I don’t use her computer. Please remember to put in an adoption application for me asap…😘 McKynlee is available for adoption but is also in need of a foster home. Meet Penny is precious! VIDEO! 32 lbs of snuggles! Hey everyone! Exciting news... this week Rock N' Rescue have rescued an incredible 2 yr old Lab mixed with Rat Terrier/Boxer/Cur named Penny who we are sooo excited to present to our great adopters! Please make sure to read ALL info below BEFORE applying. NO applications accepted by anyone under the age of 25 please (parent or guardian must apply) and you MUST have dog experience. To apply go to https://rnrpets.org/form-dog-application/ - and make sure to give us as much info as possible. DO NOT CALL RESCUE but if you have questions u can TEXT NO CALLS to 9146885499 - please do an application BEFORE texting MORE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS UPON REQUEST WITH APPROVED APPLICATION Meet Penny! Oh this is a furrball filled with love and cuddles! Her family reports, "Penny is fully house trained, leash trained, sleeps in a crate overnight, and does well in an electric fenced yard. She is an active dog when outside and a relative couch potato indoors and enjoys the company of another canine. She loves to play with her foster brother (dog) and cuddle up on the couch with us and our daughter. She enjoys antlers and bones to chew on, but doesn't seem that interested in our rope or kongs (we can't use squeakers because of our other dog). She is a great hiking or trail running companion and once she was acclimated, does well with recall off-leash in the woods. She can be shy and will bark around other people or dogs on or off leash. She would do best in a quiet home with few men around - with newcomers, especially a man entering the home, can make her territorial as she fast bonds with her family and wants to protect those she loves. She has done well with our four year old, but can also be territorial around other children as well. We would keep her, but unfortunately we live in a VERY busy neighborhood and that is way too overwhelming for her. She needs a quieter suburban/rural home so she does not stress out by constant people knocking on doors etc..." Penny was rescued in Kentucky and then moved to a home who trained her but as we mentioned, the home environment (especially the neighborhood itself) is far too busy a place and she gets tense with too much stimulation. She is spayed and vetted and hw negative and just is a perfect example of her breed in all the good ways. So darn pretty and teeny too. She loves to play in the yard and is GREAT on a leash and loves being by your side. She is even seems great with cats - what a plus! Penny is 32 lbs and 2yrs old and prob won't gain too much more weight - she is perfect weight right now too. She has had her vaccines and microchip and has been dewormed/defleaed too. Donation is $350. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in Bedford Hills NY OR at her Massachusetts's foster family if that is closer.

Story
Hi there! I’m Dougie, a 7 month old 41-pound Lab/Border Collie mix with a heart full of love. I came to the rescue with my sister, Daffodil, and we’ve been keeping each other company while we wait for our forever homes. I’m very sweet and love giving kisses—there’s nothing better than showing my humans how much they mean to me! I also really enjoy being around other dogs. Whether we’re playing together or just hanging out, I’m always up for some canine companionship. I’m still working on my leash walking skills, but with a little patience and practice, I know I’ll get the hang of it in no time. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who will greet you with kisses and bring joy to your life, I might just be your perfect match! Story
Lucy is the loveliest 3-year-old 42-pound Lab/Hound mix. She is just about as close to the perfect dog as you will find. Her red coat and cleopatra eyes give her quite a stunning appearance. But what makes her truly special is her gentle, sweet, loving demeanor. All Lucy wants is to be with her people and shower them all her love and a few licks too. Her story is a little sad. She had a wonderful life with a person who cared deeply about her, but unfortunately, that person got sick and died and left her alone. She is still healing from the loss but wants to be loved and find a strong relationship again. Since Lucy has already lived in a home, she is housetrained and knows her basic commands. She walks well on leash, is great with other dogs and is gentle with children. She is the most loyal dog you will ever meet. Lucy would be great settling in with a family but could be just as happy in an adult home. She only asks that you fill her life with love and maybe let her cuddle up on the couch with you too. Lucy is a uniquely wonderful dog. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. Meet Randall is RIDICULOUSLY SWEET!! This CHONKA CHONK is amazing! MORE PICS VIDEO COMING READY THIS SATURDAY! To apply go to https://rnrpets.org/dog-application/ - and make sure to give us as much info as possible. DO NOT CALL RESCUE but if you have questions u can TEXT NO CALLS to 9146885499 - please do an application BEFORE texting Meet our 3 bros Rico Randall Rufus AND 2 sisters Reba and Rosey - 8-10 wk old Lab Retriever (maybe Pyrenees) mixes who are going to WOW you with their cuteness and charm. These tiny tots come from our Kentucky rescue after being left at a shelter for no reason - just another oops litter that no one wanted to deal with. Happily they are healthy and adorable (of course) and having a blast in foster. Great with kids cats and dogs - just super sweet adorable and think they are lab dogs already. They are learning to be crate and house trained and to have good manners. Lab mixes are SUPER smart and SUPER gentle so great breed for a wide range of applicants - they also require brushing etc... as adults so these are def not lo shed breeds. Make sure to research all the fun (and training) they will need to be the perfect BFF! Love dogs cats kids! - Started house and crate training - Gentle goofballs - Super cuddly and friendly - Playful and raised together but now in separate fosters for training - Fine with dogs cats kids - had first rounds of vaccines plus dewormers and flea/tick preventatives - Neutered and spayed - Microchipped - Adoption in BEDFORD HILLS NY Video and more pics upon request! These cuties are ready so make sure to apply now before others jump ahead. They will likely grow to be med-large dogs guessing about 65-75lbs. WE DO NOT DNA TEST for breeds so you adopt and love what you get no matter what tests tell you or do not apply... We are guesstimating that their parents are Lab and Retriever mixes (as we were told that by owners and mom seems to be golden mix but could have Pyrenees too) but have not seen the father. Also expect to hire a pro trainer - as all puppies of this age and breed need proper pro training to be perfect companions. As we said above, they have had their first vaccines so adopters will have to complete final rounds and have been microchipped dewormed and had all preventatives per age. Minimum donation required. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in Bedford Hills NY - no exceptions.
