Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cole is a sweet boy who was surrendered to a shelter because the other dogs in his home were picking on him. But Cole has foster fur siblings smaller than him and would do well with similar dogs in his furever home. As always, meet and greets are required with any resident or frequently visiting dogs!&#226&#128&#168&#226&#128&#168He is still somewhat timid with new people and needs slow intros with people who come to visit. Once he knows you, he's perfect! No small children for this guy - Cole forgets he’s a big boy and may knock small children over with his big dog energy! He also forgets about personal space and loves to snuggle up to you, he may even try to sit on your lap! He loves toys (stuffies don’t stand a chance) and going for walks. He can pull in his initial excitement but settles quickly and is responsive to correction. His ears perk up when he hears tongue clicks and he comes trotting right to your side! He’s very good with his harness and leash, and has plenty of energy for medium distance walks. Cole is a very good boy and, while crate trained, is ok to be left uncrated. He does need a home with a fully fenced yard (physical fence, not invisible), as he loves exploring. He’s also very smart and eager to please, making him easy to train.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi guys! It's me, Milo! It’s been awhile since my last update but man, it’s been a busy year! I’m still a little shy, so I like slow intros but I’m getting better all the time! People can be scary so I like to watch for a little bit before I come over. All the big walks and car rides are helping me with something called socialization. I dunno what that means but I’m working hard on it according to my foster mom. I did a whole bunch of sleepovers at this place called boarding and I learned some new tricks! I walk really nice on a leash, I come almost all the time when called (unless I’m on the tail of a pesky squirrel - then I’m in the zone sniffing them out!). I’m working on place and wait. Foster mom also is trying to teach me “personal space” - she says I’m a chair and bed hog so I need to wait in my spot until it’s ok. It’s not my fault I love all the snuggles!!! And all the kisses!!! But I’ll try anything for some treats! I just learned how to give my paw. I think this is what humans call a handshake? Silly when I don’t have hands! Oh - if you haven’t heard, I love stuffies!!! This is my lab side coming out. Foster mom says I hold the record for the fastest de-stuffing she’s ever seen. I’m so proud of it! But that means I can’t be left unsupervised when she’s gone but I’m very good about going in my crate. I’m looking for a quiet home to give me all the belly rubs, snuggles, treats and stuffies I can handle. I’d love a fenced yard so I can chase the squirrels but I like a good long walk too if I can’t have that. And no kitties please. Not a fan of little animals. Are you intrigued? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, my name is Count Von but you can call me Von or Vonny for short! I am a 6 month old black lab/hound mix. I am a small/petite guy at only about 30 pounds. Unfortunately, I did not have the best start to life as I was just skin and bones when I came into rescue. But, things have definitely changed for me as my foster mom has made sure I have had plenty of food to eat and oh how I love those things they call treats, she gives me lots of those!! My foster mom says that my fur coat is soft and starting to shine and that my big, beautiful brown eyes are starting to show a smile. Let me tell you more about me,  I am a quiet guy, sometimes my foster mom even forgets I am in the room. I can entertain myself playing with a toy or chewing on a bone, but I also enjoy playing with my foster siblings. I love exploring outside but I feel safest when my human is with me so we can explore together. I am crate trained and I sleep in it at night without a peep as long as you give me one of those treats I told you about, but that is not to say I wouldn’t want to share a warm bed with you if you were interested. I am about 90% potty trained and as long as you keep me on a schedule and take me often we shouldn’t have a problem, but be patient with me as I am learning my new home. But, the most important things to know about me are that I love when my foster mom gives me pets and tells me I am a good boy. I also enjoy being cuddled and I give the best kisses!! As much as my foster mom doesn’t want to see me go, she knows it is time for me to find a family of my own so that she can go on to save another just like me. So, would you like to be my forever family, I am taking applications now! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, my name is Buffy! If you ask my foster mom, she’ll tell you I am the sweetest most lovable furbaby around!  She says I have the prettiest brown eyes! And just loves how I tilt my head when she talks to me! And I just LOVE everyone! From my canine foster brother, Pumba, to my Foster mom’s grand daughters, and everyone in between!  I love wrestling with Pumba and running through the snow! My foster mom says I run and leap like a gazelle! I have to, just keep up with Pumba who’s like a little Jack rabbit!!! We run around until we’re both exhausted and ready for a nap!  I go in my crate without a problem, for naps  and overnight and never make a sound! That’s something I’m really good about!  I am also learning to go potty outside and doing pretty well! And here’s another cool thing I can do, I can sit and stay (most times) when I’m waiting for my meals! I can’t tell you how hard that is because I’m a growing girl and always hungry!  If you find yourself in need of a beautiful, precious, loveable, adorable, sweet, darling, brown eyed furbaby, I just may be the perfect fit!  I can promise to give you all my love and affection for my whole life! Apply today @Buffalocares.org   Love, Buffy   Adoption Fee: $475.00  RR48      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.  If interested in learning more or adopting please fill out an application on our website at www.buffalocares.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Scooby!  I am an ALL American mixed breed pup with a lot of puppy energy. My foster mom says I’m a bit of a goof ball like the real Scooby Doo. That must be how I got my name. I love playing with all sorts of toys but really enjoy playing with his favorite rope ball. I am a social butterfly and love attention, whether it is from other dogs or humans.  I do have good social skills and respect other dogs. I know that my big personality is a lot to handle sometimes and that not everyone wants to be my friend, but I’ll keep trying from a safe distance. I am a bit goofy and want to be a tiny lap dog. When I am not playing, my next favorite thing to do is climb up in your lap for a little nap. I am working hard on my manners. They are teaching me that I must sit before I get the love and attention that I want. I’m getting better at it. I am housebroken and crate trained. I love going exploring on a nice walk. Food motivates me to learn.  If you are looking for a sweet, goofy, pup to cuddle with on cold nights, I might be your guy. Apply today @Buffalocares.org Adoption Fee: $475.00  RR48      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All dogs come fully up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm tested, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and spayed/neutered.  If interested in learning more or adopting please fill out an application on our website at www.buffalocares.org. Name : BeauDOB : 6/1/23Breed : Lab MixSex : MaleWeight : 60lbsLocation : Arcade, NY Hi guys! I’m Beau, short for beautiful, don’t you think?! I made a long trek from Texas, but I think I was made for Buffalo. I am loving the snow! My foster mom calls me a couch potato, it’s just so comfy. I play in the snow and then come in and chill. I lived with some dogs in Texas so I’m definitely good with them, but not sure about cats. I have two human foster bros here in NY - they are pretty cool! I sniff everyone pretty good at first but then have loved everyone I met! If one more person tells me how pretty my eyes are…. I guess that’s my selling point! But not just that - I’m potty trained!  I haven’t needed a crate, I don’t get into anything! Put a blanket on the couch or a dog bed and I’ll be set! If you want to skip the puppy phase and get a turn key young pup - Beau is your guy!If you are interested in adopting Beau, please apply at http://www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you are already approved!Sent from my iPhone ##2244572##
