Story
Greggy and Gracie are 5-month-old (Born approximately January 15, 2024) black lab mixes that weigh approximately 30 lbs each. These pups LOVE to smile. They are so carefree and happy pups; they don’t know that nobody wants them yet. They are the happiest, most friendliest puppies you will meet. These 2 pups LOVE life and everyone they meet, kids and adults, men and women. Greggy and Gracie are the definition of perfection. They are smart, they’re eager to learn, super playful, beyond loving, gentle, snuggly, entertaining and ready to be in their forever homes. Somebody messaged us regarding these 2 pups that were found wandering around their house in a rural part of south Texas. They think somebody dumped them. Black dogs are not easy to adopt out, but we hope you will see past their color, and see their beautiful personalities. These pups are very smart. Within a short time, they have learned a few commands and with time, will definitely be able to master and learn more. They are super eager to learn. They aim to please and one of their only goals in life is to please their humans. Gracie and Greggy would do wonderful with all ages of children, as they have your typical gentle demeanor of a lab. They love other dogs and would do great in a home with other dogs or in a home alone. They have been introduced to cats and they don’t show any interest in them. They are still working on house training, but with proper stimulation, training and exercise, will have no issues mastering it. Adoption fee includes: Spay or neuter, current negative heart worm test, current parvo/distemper vaccines, bordatella (kennel cough), rabies vaccination, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, dewormer, microchip, health certificate from a veterinarian, and transport costs from Texas to the East coast.

Story
Meet Molly! Molly is a playful, family-oriented girl who adores kids and thrives on fun and adventure. She’s happiest when she’s outside, especially if there are squirrels to chase! A home with a yard would be perfect for this energetic sweetheart to burn off her zoomies. Molly’s leash-walking skills could use a little polishing, but with her smarts and love for treats, she’ll learn in no time. When the day winds down, she transforms into a gentle cuddle bug who just wants to snuggle up with her favorite humans. One note: Molly prefers a cat-free home. Currently, she is heartworm positive, but don’t let that stop you—she’s already on the road to recovery with a treatment plan underway. Molly deserves a forever home filled with love, play, and lots of cuddles. Could you be the one to make her dreams come true? Contact us today to meet Molly and give her the amazing life she deserves!

Story
Meet Krueger our newest arrival from Kentucky. Krueger is approximately five months of age and is neutered. Krueger came to the shelter very malnourished and scared with his brother who you may remember Arlo. Arlo was adopted recently and now it’s his brother‘s turn! Krueger is full of life. He is quick to trust and very playful. He has been extremely gentle with our toddler, very kind to our cats and super affectionate to our dog, it’s obvious that Krueger just wants to be loved and have a home. This dog would be perfect in anyone’s home. He loves to snuggle up with you on the couch or in bed and is very good and quick to learn his potty training. So far no accidents. While he is curious of new surroundings. He is also a little shy, so having his handler with him, will help him succeed with confidence. I can’t imagine one home that wouldn’t be good for him. I do think that he would do best in a home with another dog to help raise his confidence while adjusting to the new exciting world outside of a kennel at the shelter. He is currently being fostered in Suffield, CT. If interested please submit an application on our website www.mountainrottierescue.net
