Story
Hazel is a lovely 7 year old red lab. While she is super sweet to humans, but has some behavioral issues with other animals, including resource guarding and food aggression. None of these behavioral issues extend to humans, however, I wouldn’t recommend she go to a home with children. Hazel would do best as an only dog. We rescued her from an abusive situation where she had been left alone after her previous owners moved. We’ve had her for five months, and overtime have tried to work with her on these behavioral issues. We do not have the resources to work with her on these behavioral issues, and are hoping that she can find a loving home that is more suitable for her. An experienced adopter that can work with her behavioral issues and a home where she is the only pet is preferred. She is house broken, comes when called, and knows basic commands. She is also diagnosed with Lyme disease, though it seems to have not progressed to the point where she needs medication for it yet.

Story
Hi, I’m Crouton! I may be a little shy at first, but I’m learning to find my confidence every day and I’m a sweet girl who’s ready to make a special human my best friend. I love people and really enjoy gentle pets and attention. Walks are my favorite I’m great on leash, and I especially love sniffing around and discovering all the interesting smells the world has to offer. Every new scent is an adventure! I’m still finding my footing, but with a patient, loving person by my side, I know I can grow more confident and show off my sweet, loyal side. If you’ve got a calm hand, a kind heart, and maybe some time for walks and pets, I’d be so happy to share my adventures and my love with you.

Story
Oh hello dear… come sit with me a moment, won’t you? My name is Hazel, and I may be a little older now, but I still have so much love tucked into my heart. The days feel quieter than they used to, and I find myself wishing for a kind soul to share them with—a companion to sit beside me, to keep me company as the sun drifts through the windows. I must admit, this kennel can be so loud and chaotic for an older lady like me. All the noise and bustle—it makes me long even more for a peaceful home where I can finally relax and just be. I’m a gentle lady, always have been. I move softly, mind my manners, and carry myself with a certain daintiness… or so I’ve been told. I don’t fuss much about other dogs—I’m polite and neutral, happy to coexist but just as content soaking up the quiet with my person. What I love most are the simple things: a cozy spot to rest, a warm hand to lean into, and someone who understands that sometimes the best moments are the quiet ones we share together. I have a tender heart, dear, and I give my love freely—soft, steady, and true. If you’re feeling a little lonely too… perhaps we could keep each other company. I promise to be by your side, a sweet and gentle presence, always ready to remind you that you’re not alone. With all my love, Hazel 💕

Story
Nacht is a gentle, shy soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. When she first arrived, even simple things—like walking on a leash—felt big and scary. She had likely never been shown how. But with time, patience, and quiet encouragement, Nacht has begun to find her bravery. Today, she can walk on a leash and is slowly discovering that new places aren’t quite as frightening as they once seemed. Nacht is very under socialized and struggles to trust people right away. She’s the kind of girl who watches from a distance first, taking everything in, trying to decide if it’s safe to let her guard down. She doesn’t rush into affection—but when she chooses you, it means something. Every small step forward with her feels like a huge victory. What Nacht really needs is a patient, understanding someone who will let her move at her own pace, celebrate her quiet progress, and show her that the world isn’t so scary after all. She would thrive with a calm, steady presence by her side, someone who understands that confidence isn’t built overnight. And while she may be shy, she does have a weakness… hotdogs. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive companion who will blossom beautifully with time, Nacht is ready to keep learning, growing, and exploring — as long as you’re willing to take the journey with her.

Story
Vex is a sweet young pup who’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She can be shy and timid at first, but with patience, time, and gentle understanding, her soft and loving personality begins to shine. Vex would do best with calm, confident owners who can help her build confidence and feel safe. Once she trusts you, she’s the kind of dog who will quietly become your loyal shadow. Good to know about Vex: • 🐶 Dog selective – a dog-to-dog meet is required • 👧 Would do best with older children who can respect her shy nature • 🧘 Thrives in a calm, patient home Vex may start out a little reserved, but for someone willing to give her the time she needs, she’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion. 💛
