Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)       4m old Martha Mae from Arkansas  All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! Un If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Socks is a laid back guy who just wants to get outside for walks or runs. He’s pretty good about his leash manners, and will even wait patiently while you clean up after him and keep an eye out for anyone trying to sneak up on you. When it comes to dogs, he gets super excited to play with them, but might come on a little strong in his zeal. He poses patiently for photos and the photos end up turning out great because he is so handsome. We think he would do great in almost any home and would love to learn some more tricks and commands with his furever family!

Story
Handsome Parker is out of the horrendous shelter and seeking his forever home!  Parker had been living a horrible life, stuck in a dark and dreary shelter in rural Louisiana where the dogs never get outside, and basically live in their own messes.  It is pretty much a death sentence for most dogs there, unless a rescue steps up to take them.  Parker was scheduled to be euthanized, but before that happened, Seventh Heaven Rescue was able to pull him out.  He was immediately sent to the vet to be treated for skin irritation. Parker is estimated to be about 4 years old and is believed to be a Lab/Pit mix.  Unfortunately, Parker tested positive for Heart Worm and finished his treatment.  Parker has arrived to a foster home in Upstate NY.  He is very sweet, friendly and loves attention.  Parker is dog social, but sometimes doesn't realize he is a big boy and can play a little rough. This boy deserves to live the good life!  Parker is kenneled during the day while his fosters are at work, whie he isn't fond of his kennel but he settles after awhile.  At night, Parker sleeps on a dog bed by his fosters bed sleeping throughout the entire night.  He is potty trained.  Parker loves car rides and is improving on his leash walking.  He does not require a physical fence as long as he gets plenty of exercise since he has a lot of energy.  Parkers adoption fee is $300 whch goes towards neutering at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adopton, microchip and transportation fees. ##2183094##

Story
Sable is being fostered in Tennessee. Sable is a wonderful dog whose only goal in life is to cuddle you and be loved. Sable is a confident dog who gets along with cats and every single dog he has met. Nothing phases Sable, he loves to go on adventures, rides great in the car and is a perfect gentleman on a leash. Sable will do well in a quiet or hectic household, he doesn't startle easily and overcomes new challenges quickly. He uses a doggy door, kennels well and runs the house freely without worry. Sable does have some separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone...other animals in the house are a comfort but he really wants humans nearby. He is not destructive but does search for you if you leave. He has puppy energy but a walk or another dog to play with will make him content and he will be a couch potato with you once you get energy off him. Great with kids of all ages and will make an amazing family dog. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
