Story
Handsome Parker is out of the horrendous shelter and seeking his forever home!  Parker had been living a horrible life, stuck in a dark and dreary shelter in rural Louisiana where the dogs never get outside, and basically live in their own messes.  It is pretty much a death sentence for most dogs there, unless a rescue steps up to take them.  Parker was scheduled to be euthanized, but before that happened, Seventh Heaven Rescue was able to pull him out.  He was immediately sent to the vet to be treated for skin irritation. Parker is estimated to be about 4 years old and is believed to be a Lab/Pit mix.  He is very sweet, friendly and dog social.  Unfortunately, Parker tested positive for Heart Worm and will require treatment.  He is currently being housed in Louisiana and won't be able to travel until lhe finishes his treatment, but we are taking applications for him now.  This boy deserves to live the good life!  We will update his information as time goes on.  Parkers adoption fee is $300 whch goes towards neutering at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adopton, microchip and transportation fees. ##2183094##

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If you're looking for a snuggle buddy, Oakley is your girl! At just 9 months old and 30 pounds of pure sweetness, this short legged Lab / Staffordshire Terrier mix has medium energy but a heart full of love. Her favorite thing? Belly rubs! Oakley will gladly lay in your lap, on her back, for hours of rubs and attention. Oakley has some adorable quirks, too! She’ll sit on her behind with her paws in the air when she wants your attention, and after she finishes eating, she brings you her bowl as if to say, "More, please!" She’s well on her way to being house-trained and is totally crate-trained, where she behaves like a champ. Oakley knows how to sit and has a great recall, making training a breeze. She’s a submissive, gentle soul who gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. This cuddle queen would thrive in a home where she can be close to her humans, soaking up all the love and attention. Whether you have another dog or she’s your one and only, Oakley is happiest when she’s with her people. If you're ready for some serious snuggle sessions, please apply today to adopt Oakley! Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, Oct 19th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. November 6, 2024, 2:12 pm
