Story
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Woodbridge High School (1 Samuel Lupo Pl, Woodbridge, NJ 07095) from 11am - 3pm.
Meet Kim! Kim is 4 years old and 70lbs of sweet Chocolate Lab!
Kim has been through tough times before being rescued and she is ready for her forever home in the suburbs with
someone she can trust and be loyal to.
Kim is timid, sweet, and silly. Due to her unknown past in puppy mill, she is timid and docile, taking her time to open up to people. She has been with her current fosters for a month and has started to come out of her shell, seeking out love, attention, and playtime!
Kim thrives with other dogs and loves to play and run around with them. Additionally, she is currently being fostered with a toddler and is very gentile. She will be an amazing family pet for all ages once she warms up!
Kim finds comfort in her crate and is completely crate-trained, going overnight without any issue. Kim is working on her potty training and making huge improvements with a consistent schedule. Although she may be a little shy when getting a leash on, she does well on walks.
Kim is being fostered in North Brunswick, NJ. Her adoption fee is $600.
Kim is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
Kim is the most precious chocolate lab looking to finally have a family of her own!
Are you looking for some sweetness in your life, adopt Kim!
Kim is being fostered in Monroe Township NJ. Her adoption fee is $600.
