Story
Meet Nevada! If you are looking for a true snuggle bug then here she is! Poor Nevada (previously named Nellie) must have had a rough life. She has scars all over her body but that does not change her inner beauty and she is a lovely, ~8 to 10 yrs. old medium-size mixed breed sweetheart. Nevada LOVES to play with her toys and will share them nicely with you. She takes food, treats, and toys gently, loves to sun-bathe in the play yard, and loves to go for walks. She is strong on the leash but loves her walks. Nevada knows some commands and is a willing participant. This girl wants nothing more than to relax in a quieter side home with adults or older children. Best as your one and only pet in the home and will shower you with love. Won't you please be her forever person or family? Please apply to adopt Nevada at Rescueridge.com and if your application is a possible match a volunteer will get back to you shortly. Story
This little love bug is Nola! Nola is a 2 1/2 year old, female mixed breed weighing 38 lbs.  Her owner has 2 bad knees and no yard and is no longer able to meet Nola’s exercise needs. As much as she loves Nola she feels it’s in her best interest to find her the home she desperately needs and truly deserves. Rescue Ridge is trying to help her with this courtesy post. Nola is housebroken, and knows many commands. She’s very treat motivated and will happily show off her tricks for a treat. She’s very friendly and extremely well behaved in the home. She does not need to be crated. Nola is strong and energetic and needs a fenced yard where she can burn off some of her playful energy. She would be the perfect partner for someone who loves to walk and hike. Nola is looking for an adult only home where she can be the one and only fur baby. She promises to give you plenty of love an attention.  Nola is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet Nola, please fill out an adoption application on our website, rescueridge.com and we will forward it to her owner. ***this is a courtesy post for the owner. Rescue Ridge makes no claims as to Nola’s temperament and will not be involved in the adoption process  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 11, 2025, 9:43 pm

Story
This adorable pup is Tux! Tux is an approximately 8-9 month old Lab mix puppy with the softest, silkiest fur. He currently weighs 45 lbs. Tux loves people and is extremely affectionate!  He is our resident goofball and can often be found sitting in a chair in our play yard! His pictures don’t do him justice - you need to meet this baby in person to see how cute and silly he is. We have been working with Tux on some basic obedience training and he’s been a star student. He has quickly learned some commands and is a pleasure to walk on a leash. Tux  has typical puppy energy and would love a yard where he could run and romp around with some toys.   Tux is a super sweet boy with a wonderful temperament who would make a wonderful dog for a family with older kids. Tux appears to be dog friendly too! Tux is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. If you’d like to meet this handsome boy, please fill out an application on our website at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet. Please, no inquiries without an adoption application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2025, 7:44 pm

Story
We got Evie in Florida from the shelter. We lived there last year. She was three months old when we got her in January. She has got a lot of energy and would love to go for run or bikes with somebody. She gets along with my dog, but my dog is old and I have to keep them separated a lot because Evie just jumps on her and wants to play with her 24/7. She is very much an alpha! My cats get along with my other dog, but Evie is in their face, and they do not like her at all and his and swat at her constantly. I just feel bad that I have to crate her so much because she doesnt get along with my other animals. She is so lovable and we do love her, but it is just not a good home for her. She is very intelligent and is potty trained.
