Story
** Current location: in a local shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story: Mongja was sold to an old man at a dog meat market. Luckily she was not slaughtered, but she was tied to a short leash and forced to guard the house and farm. A villager who took pity on her bought her from the old man, and that's how she was rescued. She is now protected and taken care of in a private shelter. • Personality: She is very playful, sweet, and smart. She gets along very well with other dogs and is very sociable. She's friendly with young children, but she's also sometimes seen to be wary of strangers, dropping to the floor when they visit or approach her unexpectedly. However, if you pet her, she would warm up quickly :) • Health: She is scheduled to be spayed in a month (Aug 2024). • Crate-trained: yes • Walking Manners: She tends to pull the leash on walks but will get better soon with training. ❗Our dogs are currently located in Korea, and they go through a legal process to get into the U.S. We are professionals with a lot of experience in this area. If you decide to adopt one of our dogs, the process will be smooth with us. See the experiences of other adopters on our Instagram. Please follow us @3ft.rescue

Story
** Current location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet Goodo👋 a sweet lovable boy with cute curved ears! Goodo was found in a mountain in South Korea at just 3 months old in Apr 2021 and taken to a high-risk city shelter along with his siblings. Fortunately rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team, the five siblings started living with numerous dogs in a private shelter. After spending three years in the shelter, Goodo thankfully had a chance to live in his foster home, but his foster family is returning him to the shelter very soon due to personal matters. We would love Goodo to find his forever home before he has to go back to the shelter life. He is more than ready to find one! • Personality: Calm, Gentle, Bright • Affinity with - Dogs: Good with his kind of dog, but generally he doesn't have a big interest in other dogs. - Cats: Not interested in small animals - Adults/Kids: He is good with people in general but just needs time to open up at the beginning. / He hasn't properly met a kid yet but prefers to keep some distance from people in general. However, he enjoys being petted even by new people. • Walking Manners: Generally good on a leash! Not reactive to other barking dogs when walking. • Housetrained: Completely housebroken, going potty outdoors • Bathing/Brushing: Very good and calm • Car Sickness: He seems nervous but generally fine with car rides. • Separation Anxiety: none • Barks/Howls: Only barks a little bit when someone enters the house in darkness • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Likes/Dislikes: He likes pets, meaty treats, and walks(long walks, short runs) / He's not a fan of annoying dogs.

Story
** Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story : Meet Dugger👋 an adorable pup with a beautiful smile! Dugger was one of the 9 puppies found on a street in South Korea at just two months old and taken to a high-risk shelter. They were luckily saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team, but Dugger had to be hospitalized due to the mange treatment while all his siblings found their foster homes. Even long after he got a clean bill of health, he is still in the private shelter without a single chance to live in the loving home he deserves. This friendly pup is more than ready to find a forever home! • Personality: Friendly, Easy-going, Active Dugger's endearing and bright personality shines through with his charming smile and playful demeanor even in the shelter. We would like him to have a family who enjoys outdoor adventures so that Dugger can experience many activities he has been missing while staying in the shelter. • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs -Adults/Kids: Good with all people including men and kids, but he hasn't lived with kids in a house before, so it will be necessary to watch him being around kids at the beginning. • Shedding: 5-6 • Food Allergies: No. • Walking Manner: in training and improving! • Housetrained: Needs work. He would prefer to potty outdoors when adopted. • Bathing/Brushing: tolerates both well • Separation Anxiety: None. • Bark or Howl: No. • Carsickness: No. • Like & Dislike: LOVES people, attention, and treats!

Labrador Retriever German Shepherd Dog

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.FERN was born at the Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine, the night after we brought her mom, a pure bred German Shepherd Dog into our care. She was born on 21st September 2024 and has lived with her siblings, her mom and a few other teenage German Shepherd Dogs.   We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. FERN was spayed on 25 September, she is current on her vaccinations, although she will require her rabies as she is currently too young for that vaccine. She is microchipped and at the time of her spay surgery weighed 12.20 pounds. We do not know what breed she is mixed with, but can confidently say her mother is a German Shepherd Dog - RHEA and can be seen in the photos. FERN is a young pup and so her personality is in the early stages of development and so it will be the family and home environment that dictates how she behaves as she grows up. There is no reason for her to not be great around children of any ages, unless of course the child/ren make her fearful or hurt her. We do not have any age restrictions for families with children, but do expect responsible families in regards to both children and the pup and have 100% supervision when they are together. FERN will need a family that has the time and means to care for a pup, which includes training, socialization and explosing her to as many environments as possible, but in a way that she is comfortable, safe and happy. She is going to be a medium/large dog and so an active lifestyle is important as well as a family understanding the mental needs and intelligence of this kind of dog. We are looking for a family that understands she will be teething, she will be going through her "teenage" phase and will be a lot of work. Fern has an adoption fee of $550 Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Story
Get ready to fall in love! Meet Elmer, a stunning 5.5-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix fully grown at about 67 pounds. Elmer was rescued from a high kill shelter in Swainsboro, GA, where he was scheduled to be euthanized purely for space. For the past 6 months, Elmer has been patiently waiting in his foster home to find the forever family he dreams of. Elmer is an easy going guy who is a joy to have around. He loves to go for walks, is a huge fan of fetch, and in general is a big fan of toys. As much as Elmer loves playtime or a good adventure, he’s also just as content to curl up on the couch with his foster family to watch a movie or check some emails. Elmer is fully housebroken and crate trained. He sleeps soundly through the night on his dog bed and is always excited to start each new day with plenty of cuddles and affection! Elmer absolutely loves children though he would prefer to not share his home with any other animals. Elmer's foster family says: "He's a happy-go-lucky dog, truly enjoys life to the fullest. His favorite activities are going for walks, playing fetch, and eating. Say the words "walk", "ball" or "eat" and he jumps for joy. He's great on walks and never tires of fetching a ball (or frisbee, or any toy). He equally enjoys his downtime and loves to cuddle on the couch with his family. He's very affectionate and not shy about asking for attention." All Elmer needs now is a forever home to call his own! Apply to adopt him today at www.homeforgooddogs.org! Elmer is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org** HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
