Story
Our boy Chunky Monkey puppy is called Ralston, a hearty puppy born around Oct. 24th to a yellow Lab mix momma and a Red Heeler dad.  They seemed to be a couple and were strays that came up to a home in the countryside of Tennessee. Mom was obviously pregnant and the kind people who lived in the home they came up to, made a safe place for the puppies to be born and cared for safely.  They were some very lucky pups.  Six gorgeous Chunky Monkey puppies  were born and Ralston is not one of the largest ones in the litter, but he will be a big 65-70 pound dog all the same.  He is ready for a new home now!!!    Ralston is wonderful with children and very easy going with a laidback personality and not a hyper puppy.  This boy is a true cuddler.  Recently he attended a YMCA Puppy Yoga class and he was a hit.  He went around the room of 40 women  and young teens and crawled in laps and  cuddled with almost each and every one.  He is already clearly heavy and weighs 17 pounds at 12 weeks!!!!   Ralston will be wonderful with other dogs, cats, people of all ages.  He is quiet, mannerly and respectful of your personal space.   He is being crate trained and shown a schedule for potty breaks.  Learning and will have it conquered soon with 100% housebroken.  Age and maturity helps so much for housebreaking.  Ralston is precious...handsome and a boy destined to be easy to train and even easier to love.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  He can transport from Nashville, TN on Jan. 16th to join a family for his lifetime.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:57 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Harmony Border Collie / Lab Mix | ~6 months old This sweet girl is a happy, loving, and big-hearted pup who already shows the instincts of a true caretaker. When she was found alongside two younger puppies, she naturally took on a protective role — gently blocking them from running into the road and keeping them safe. That kind of awareness and responsibility doesn’t come from training — it comes from who she is. She’s a joyful, affectionate girl who warms up quickly once she feels safe. While she can be a little timid at first (understandably so after being abandoned), it doesn’t take long for her true personality to shine through — and when it does, she’s all smiles, tail wags, and love. She does wonderfully with other dogs and has a natural, nurturing presence with younger pups. She enjoys people, seeks affection, and loves being part of the action, but she also has a gentle, thoughtful side that makes her easy to live with. We believe she may be a Border Collie / Lab mix, a combination known for intelligence, loyalty, and big hearts. She’s likely going to be a large adult dog, and with continued love and stability, she will grow into an incredibly devoted companion. This girl would thrive in a home that values connection, kindness, and inclusion — someone who understands that confidence grows with trust. In return, she’ll offer loyalty, protection, and a whole lot of love. If you’re looking for a dog with both heart and soul — one who looks out for others and bonds deeply with her people — this special girl may be the one you’ve been waiting for.   Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Onyx Lab / Shepherd Mix | ~7 weeks old This sweet girl is a bright, playful, and confident puppy with a big personality packed into a little body. She’s happy, curious, and loves both people and other dogs. She takes new experiences in stride and adjusts quickly — a wonderful sign of emotional resilience. She’s clean, clever, and clearly enjoys figuring things out. Whether she’s playing, exploring, or cuddling, she brings a joyful energy without being over-the-top. She’s the kind of puppy who makes caring for her genuinely fun. We believe she is a Mountain Cur / Shepherd mix, a combination that often produces smart, loyal dogs who form strong bonds with their families. With continued socialization and love, she’s going to grow into a confident, well-adjusted companion. This girl would thrive in a home that enjoys engagement, routine, and connection — and she’ll return that love with loyalty and affection.   If this happy little soul has caught your eye, please reach out and tell us a bit about your home and lifestyle. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Otto  Lab / Shepherd Mix | ~7 weeks old This handsome little guy is a happy, confident, and affectionate puppy who approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm. He’s playful and full of personality, but not wild or overwhelming — just a fun, well-balanced pup who enjoys engaging with the world around him. He’s very people-oriented, loves attention, and settles easily after playtime. He’s surprisingly clean for his age, already showing good habits, and he’s a smart little guy who watches, learns, and figures things out quickly. We believe he is a Mountain Cur / Shepherd mix, a pairing known for intelligence, loyalty, and adaptability. These dogs tend to grow into devoted companions who enjoy being part of daily life and thrive with routine and connection. This boy would do well in a home that enjoys playtime, learning, and interaction — and in return, he’ll bring laughter, affection, and companionship. If you’re looking for a puppy who is confident, loving, and a joy to be around, this little guy may be your perfect match. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans.
