Story
This is Stella June. She is a 5yr old 70# female registered pure breed black lab. Stella will come with her xl kennel, and favorite ball. She is 100% house trained and up to date on vaccines and spayed. Stella is a very people social dog. She has lived with smaller dogs and cats her whole life and is good with both. Stella loves the company of people and is a good off leash dog. She loves to snuggle her people and play ball. She is 5 but has always been energetic. The reason Stella is looking for a new home is, she is not a fan of small children. Stella needs to be in a home with no children or older children. Young children cause Stella stress and she often has a disregard for them stealing food and knocking them over if they are in the way. Stella is not food aggressive with adults but shows signs of tension when food is between her and small children. Stella has not bitten anyone ever. Overall she is a sweet and loyal girl.

Story
Ever wanted a labradoodle but don't want to go thru the puppy phase? Here's your chance! We pulled Vinny hours before he was set to be euthanized in an overcrowded shelter in TX. He's a very sweet boy, very much your typical doodle and has lots of energy. He loves everyone he meets. He plays well with other dogs after a proper introduction. He can be a bit timid of other dogs at first, but once he knows they won't hurt him, he's good to run and play! He is house and kennel trained. He loves treats, and food. He loves car rides, and is obsessed with overhead bridges and signs, and will tell you all about them. He does have some leash reactivity that he is working on. Any potential adopter would need to continue to work on this with him if you plan to take walks. His adoption fee is 400$. This covers cost of neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, 3 rounds of distemper/parvo vaccine, 2 rounds of leptospirosis vaccine, dewormer, bordetella vaccine, and flea/tick heartworm prevention.

Story
Pretty girl Lola was dumped in the country with one of her six week old puppies. The puppy found a family, so now it's Lola's turn! She is ~50 pounds and friendly with kids, dogs, and cats. She is potty trained and sleeps all night quietly in her kennel. She loves to cuddle, and would be happy to play fetch or go on walks too. She was heartworm positive when she was rescued but has completed treatment. She has a clean bill of health now and is ready for a forever family!

Story
Approx. DOB: 8/23/20                Approx Weight: 51 Lbs Adoption Fee: $200 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Rocky is very sweet, a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He can be goofy and silly sometimes. He is housebroken and crate trained, however if left alone for 8+ hours in a crate he becomes very stressed and will have accident. He has been started on a anti depressant that really helps his anxiety when left alone. He is calmer now and has had no accidents since starting it. He gets along well with other dogs, but does not care for large male dogs that try to dominate him. He is a lover and really doesn't want to fight so he tries to bluff his way out of them. He has done well with children at our Petco events but there are no children in his foster home.  He will need a fenced yard and would do best with someone that works from home or has someone at home most of the time. Rocky is a love bug and really enjoys being brushed, snuggled with and just hanging out with the family. Rocky is going to make some family a wonderful companion. I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support!
